I am seriously DONE with the opt out process for Concordia. First it was health, now it’s health AND legal. AND GOD FORBID I manage to actually log in to opt out. “Log in info not correct” “This information is not in our records”
I have to send I don’t know how many emails for an answer. And call them from the other side of the world and pay for my call to get them to cancel the thing.
So why TF am I paying 170$ more if I’m not in your system????

I 28F recently matched with my biological father on AncestryDNA. I have known since I was younger that it was not 100% certain who my biological father was (there were two possibilities). My mother and he were very young at the time (19-20yrs) and they had a brief few weeks of casually hooking up. She found out she was pregnant and ultimately came to him and told him it was possible he was the father. She gave him the option to be involved or not to be. They had no further contact from there. She did and does not know anything about him aside from his name and being in the military
Me now 28 years old, I was curious and filled out a DNA sample. I really didn't think anything would come of it, especially not that result. Doing even more research, I believe I have found his mother and wife on Facebook. I sent him a direct message on Ancestry but he has not been active on the site in over 6 years. I doubt he will find my message. I would prefer to contact him directly but I cant find any social media or information on him specifically. I do not like the idea of having to message his mother or wife but I am not sure that there is any other options. All of the other mutual matches on Ancestry haven't been active in over a year. I did message one person and they read it and did not reply.
I am almost certain that this was NOT an affair nor was there any cheating involved. I was simply an accident.
If I found the right person, he is married and has another child (teenager I believe). I understand he made a choice 28 years ago to walk away BUT people change and grow. I just want to do the right thing and I am conflicted. Even if you had no intentions of meeting or necessarily building a relationship, should I reach out? I wonder if he joined Ancestry all those years ago possibly looking for me or maybe it's just a coincidence and he hasn't even given it a second thought.
I have a wonderful family and dad (step but I don't like to refer to him as such) who has been around since I was young enough to remember. I consider him my Dad. I am not looking for anything from this guy and I do not necessarily want a relationship but I open to contacting eacother and mostly am just curious of his physical traits, any health conditions, etc.
If I do reach out, I am prepared for any type of response whether good or bad. I am the type of person that not saying something will eat at me, however, I want to do what's right.
Any insight from the male/father perspective OR someone with a similar situation would be greatly appreciated. Please be kind

I came out to 17.98 for 24 months. I had 3 montly options to pick from. But I always pay more so it will go quick. I had an affirm account before so that may have made it easier. The 100 credit is just as I thought on the extras like cases, ear buds, watches, and tablets. Unlike TD Bank I was able to send it to another address instead of my building where packages end up missing. Traded in my S23+.

I would like to start with this: I am not, in any way, shape or form, a fan of the Chinese government. China as a whole is just as much a capitalistic hellhole as the US, or any other capitalistic hellhole of a country we reside in right now. For full clarity, I live in France, and my country is, indeed, just as much as a capitalist hellhole as other capitalist countries (WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?)
However.
The mod team has made public a post where they explain they ban "CCP affiliated content" from the subreddit on the basis that "China is a hostile foreign government", and using shareholders as a basis to judge what is considered "CCP affiliated content"
I would like to start by reminding everyone that Tencent owns 11% of Reddit, and as such, the Antiwork subreddit IS "CCP affiliated content".
I would also like to ask: "hostile to WHO?" Hostile to the US government? Was this an "antiwork" subreddit that don't support workers that live over imaginary lines drawn on a paper map? Does the moderator team think they are the government?
Or let's be a bit nicer and assume they meant "hostile to us, humans who have to live under our capitalist overlord and are forced to slave away all through our life". But then, the US is just as much of a threat, nay, even bigger of a threat (if only because of its military power), to anybody, be they US citizen or not.
This is, and I won't mince my words, US nationalist propaganda. Plain and simply. This is not acceptable, whether it was on purpose nationalist propaganda or the mod team not thinking much about it and copying patterns (we are ALL living surrounded by propaganda, and NONE of us are immune to it, particularly in the US where anti-communist/socialist/leftist propaganda was an is still immense, and lot of people there grew up drowned in it)
Either way, this requires a public apology from the mod team. Not for criticizing China, which I don't care about, but for applying double standards and publicising nationalist propaganda, either knowingly or unknowingly.
It also requires discussion about the topic Outright banning Tiktok makes no sense. While I am *not* using Tiktok, and while I am against Tiktok purely because of how predatory it is and how damaging it is regarding attention spawn and concentration capacities, this is neither the subject here, nor is it the role of an antiwork subreddit to decide.
