Hi everyone! I’m looking for new fun games to play. I don’t currently have wifi so I’m looking for new games to play on my phone that aren’t through Apple arcade and are free!
I like games like: -stardew valley, candy crush, clash of clans (although it overwhelms me at times lol), plants vs zombies, FarmVille (before they added all the extra content),
I also have a free app called Plato that’s really awesome, but it’s more for cards games, board games, etc.
Looking for more games where you play and build things, or fun puzzles to pass the time.

2025.01.22 20:05 designertofu he died from bloat about a month ago on Christmas, i’m in a brand new city without him and every day is so hard.
this is the worst grief I’ve ever experienced and it’s so hard every day. i always expect people to leave and whenever they did, for the last 7 years we were together i knew I would be just fine because i had Yohji. i am always afraid I’m never enough or too much for the people i’m around, but never with him. he just wanted to be wherever i was and if we were together then we were safe.
when my abusive father was dying and i had to take care of him alone for a month, the only thing that kept me sane in my childhood home full of hard memories was Yohji. he kept me afloat through every heartbreak, apartment moves, family trauma. i am blessed with so many supportive and loving friends throughout my life but when it’s time to go home or people are at their limit, he was always there. i thought about the day Yohji would die more often than i would like to admit, but i never imagined it would be as sudden or as painful as it was.
I can’t stop thinking about the moment i left him before his second and final surgery. as he was walking into the OR with the nurse he paused and looked back at me, like he was afraid it would be the last time. Christmas morning when we needed to euthanize him, as i followed him down the hallway he kept lifting his head from the gurney to make sure i was there.
it’s difficult now because it’s so cold in the city and i’m so alone in this big apartment i picked out for the two of us, but i’m even more afraid of the spring time when the world opens up and I can’t show him all the beautiful things about New York I dreamt of sharing with him for years. i wanted to people watch in Washington square park and lay in the grass together at prospect. i wanted to bring him to cabins upstate where he would have loved exploring the forest and the cool running water. he would’ve loved the hustle and bustle of the city, as he was an adventurer that liked to experience new things. sometimes i pretend he is walking with me and I don’t know if that makes me feel better or worse. i was taking a smoke break outside with a friend the other night and she asked me if i still felt his love, i said yes at the time but the truth of it is i don’t. he is just gone and a part of me is too.

Im new to IOS development and new to SwiftUl in general. Im creating a game in SwiftPlaygrounds thats essentially a never ending running game with obstacles. However when the game goes to create a generate the nee asset (png image) the game laggs quite a bit. Any ideas of solutions? ChatGPT suggested having a threaded process for generating the assets, but it didnt work.

2025.01.22 20:05 7-3-1 Update to 2025.1.3 broke recorder and Backup?
Maybe someone can help me out here,
really starting to lose hope on getting my system back:
Yesterday I had some time and wanted to Update my Release from 2024.10 to 2025.1.3. I am always cautios when to update since having a working infrastructure at my home is something my family dearly cares about.
- Of course I have daily Backups
- I read all the Breaking Changes.
- I am running in HA in docker.
- On a Lenovo Thinkcenter Intel i3 5th gen with 16GB RAM
following my research I found more Problems in the HA Logs that were not evident when browsing the normal dashboards:
- Backups - manual and automatically started ones - always fail with following log entries:
- Error handling message: Could not release database write lock
- I see multiple Errors regarding the Recorder integration
- WARNING (Recorder) [homeassistant.components.recorder.util] The system could not validate that the sqlite3 database at //config/home-assistant_v2.db was shutdown cleanly
- and after restarting this one every time:
- WARNING (Recorder) [homeassistant.components.recorder.util] Ended unfinished session (id=77 from 2025-01-22 19:27:02.686879)
- and my Energy Dashboard is not displaying any Data for today however every single entity that composes my dashboard is well and alive. This leads me to suspect the Recorder integration broke and the Energy Dashboard is pulling its data only from the Recorded Values that always get Stuck if that makes sense?
I did:
- Clean Restart the Container
- Rebootet the Hardware
- Checked the Database with sqlite pragma integrity_check (no errors reported)
- Checked my SSD with some OS-Commands I cannot recall right now but everything was reported as OK and self checks passed. (I know this could be still a problem but..)
- I recreated the Docker Container multiple Times, I tried the Image from 2025.1.2 and also redownloaded the 2025.1.3 one in case something went wrong.
Now I am back on 2024.10 and .. all the log errors persist. I cannot create New Backups, which obviously worked since I got newer ones. And the Errors regarding the Recorder Integration also keep happening aswell as the could not valide sql shut down cleanly.
Anything I can do but throw it all away and start from Scratch? We are Talking about 2 years of Data and Configuration here...
