I dispute that "for you" is more common. This appears to be true when comparing the two three-word phrases on NGram, but that will include irrelevant things like "It will be convenient for you to [do something]", where there's an implied "convenient to us". It's a way of trying to shut the other person up when you don't have a valid response to make. Sometimes, it's a way of saying that what you said is the same thing that the other person (or a third party) said, in which case they're confusing semantics with synonymous. Is there a rule to decide which is better: relevant to or relevant for? One is accusative and one dative but that doesn't really help me. "It's me" does convey information because when you say it, you are using your voice, and your voice often identifies you. As such, it's the most minimal way to respond without revealing any other information. The first instance of according to me that I can find is in a seventeenth century theological argument, Anti-pædobaptism, or, The third part by John Tombes (1657). Tombes uses the appeal "according to me" to sum up arguments that someone else has made against Tombes: No one I grew up with, whether friends or family or colleagues, ever puts things together like this. It sounds “funny” to me, something I could not say and cannot say. That’s why it’s ungrammatical to me. Ngram data. Here’s some supporting documentation for that use and non-use, courtesy of Google Ngrams: Among it's meanings, drive has always also had the meaning of forcing, pushing (the cattle, for example, or even some abstract thing). Regarding the contruction itself, in which the action results in the object becoming changed in some way, it's called adjectival resultative. American TV in the late 1990s used to contain the phrase "it's not that big a deal", verbatim. That, alone, is sufficient to prove that this "of" is an innovated, recent phenomenon. Listen to the way Dr Jordan Peterson, a Canadian, speaks. He says "it's not that big a deal" in a clip on YouTube wherein he speaks about depression. It's curious that they should offer him the job. → It's curious for them to offer him the job. It's strange that he should be late. → It's strange for him to be late. It's only natural that parents worry about their children. → It's only natural for parents to worry about their children. I dislike the term. When someone says that to me, my interpretation is that they are really saying they think they're superior to you and what you have just told them you do or have done helps you to be a better person but you'll never be as good as they are.

To be clear, the problem is not with her per se. And there is no problem with the fact that she is a Marxist, the point is that she treats Marxism as if it were the bible. I have already read Capital, I am familiar with Marx, Engels and Lenin, but I just don't agree because of my philosophical foundations
And again, the problem IS NOT that she is a Marxist, but rather that every time we discuss concepts, ideas and theories involving both Marxism and the free market, her opinions on these topics are EXCLUSIVELY from a Marxist perspective. And every time I try to explain why I disagree with Marxist theory, giving examples from Marxist theory itself, and also citing other anti-Marxist authors, her reaction is always the worse
She always says things like "you must think I'm stupid", or "I must really be stupid", or even now that she said “you take pleasure in going against everything I say"... like... WHAT????? I don't bring up topics we disagree on, I never asked her to change her opinion even though she didn't want to understand my reasons for what I think, even though I understand the philosophical reasons behind what she thinks the way she does, and that's why I don't try to change her.
But I admit that feeling like the bad guy every time sucks.

Hi, im in year 11 and i dont know what to do as my 3rd (and maybe 4th a level)
TL;DR just read my pros and cons list which is still quite long srry
For context i want to do a degree in speech and languague therapy, occupational therapy or theraputic radiography in wales (bcuz its free and i need to get my money) and the highest entry requirements ive seen for these courses is AAB with 2 science subjects(ie maths and fm core sciences, psychology and geography) and im getting all predicted 7's and above in all my gcse(except french we dont talk about french)(also important to note i dont do gcse geography or gcse re)
Im planning on doing a level bio and psych but idk what to do as my 3rd option. Im thinking about taking either a level sociology,re,geography or english languague a level
Sociology
Pros -have done it before so i know what to expect -social science(different to my more sciency subject) -timing for a level paper is good(80 marks in two hours compared to gcse 100 marks in 1h40minutes) -easy to understand -not that content heavy compared to other a levels -somewhat relevant to career
Cons - i got a 7 in it (not too bad since i got 158/200 but i wanted to get an 8 or 9 ideally) -have already done the subject- i might get bored of it - grade boundaries are high
English languague Pro - relevant to speech and languague therapy - most interesting(tied with re) - i got a 9 in my last mock - essay based -less content
Con -only one out of the two sixth form im thinking of going to offer it -the grade boundaries are stupidly high(80% for an A which is what i will probably need) - i barely actually use capital letters(yes even at the beggining of sentences) or full stops as you can probably tell by now ( its really bad its gotten to the point where whenever i'm in an exam and i add a full stop to an english exam and iremember to add a full stop whilst writing i feel proud of myself) -my grades have literally taken a 180 in the las few months ( a U in my year 10 mocks vs a 9 in my year 11 mocks)- would i be able to continue preforming at a high level
Geography Pro -havent done it at gcse all new content -essay based and dont have to write rlly long essays max 20 marks -facillitating(which is important bc i ideally want to apply to oxford or cambridge not bc i want to go just to see if i could hypothetically get in) -lowest grade boundaries
Con -coastal landscapes( i hate that topic thats the whole reason why i didnt pick gcse geography) - for me would probably be the hardest in terms of gaining marks) -not relevant to career -Case studies -content heavy and sciency
RE
Pros -most interesting(tied w english languague) -humanities -essay based and not content heavy - Dont have use textbook (bc of Alevel philosophy and religion.com basically have everything - well except examples) -quite respected by uni compated to english languague and sociology
Cons -not done at gcse- Dk how to structure answer -120 marks in 120 minutes???(you pick 3 from 4 40 mark questions) - high-ish grade boundaries(70% for A and 80-85% for A* do-able but difficult) -not relevant to career
Now that ive done this pros and cons list i kinda ferl like ive answered my own question. But i need public conformation so please help

Can I just say how bad this company sucks? Delete the post, ban me, whatever. My first experience with UPS was bad. My gaming pc came a day late and was broken. Recently, my phone broke and I ordered another. Of course, ups insists on being late, cuz now its an "exception." Im sitting here on day 4 with no phone typing on ms edge on my xbox trying to figure out when my phone will be here. You can't just not deliver someones package. What if someone needs to contact me??? This is insane.

Spoiler warning: This theory is based on evidence in S2E1, as well as some hints about themes & character arcs that have appeared in reviews of Season 2.
I know we've all been focused on the Helly vs. Helena debate since S2E1 aired. There are a few details from the episode, however, which I haven't seen anyone discussing, and based on which I'd like to raise a related but tangential theory. For the sake of argument, this theory assumes that the Helly we see in S2E1 is, in fact, Helena Eagan undercover.
Theory: Outside of the severed floowork, Milchick has been romantically pursuing Helena—probably unsuccessfully.
This line is interesting for multiple reasons. First of all, it actually reveals new information to us—we knew from Season 1 that Mark and Irving's outies are single, but we did not know that Helena was single (though perhaps that could be inferred from her not having a plus-1 at the gala). That's a notable bit of information to give us, and it's notable that Milchick knows that information. Secondly, why does Milchick describe it as sad that the outies aside from Dylan are single? On the surface, of course, he's saying that it's unfortunate that the other innies won't get to enjoy this new perk (the visitation suite). But it could also be a subtle hint that Milchick is personally sad about the relationshp status of one of the outies—Helena, whom he has been pursuing unsuccessfully.
Thematic/storytelling arguments Milchick is an ambitious climber trying to move up within Lumon; we've known this about him since season 1, and reviews for season 2 have confirmed that that continues to be part of his storyline. We also know (again, from reviews of season 2 and some of the cast interviews during the press tour) that a major theme of the season is love & relationships, and specifically exploring the question of who you are within a relationship.
From a storytelling perspective, a storyline about a romantic affair between Helena and Milchick would potentially make a lot of sense. It's a really clean, straightforward idea that provides opportunities for a lot of complex character work and plot beats. It would be a way to learn more about what Helena and Milchick are each like outside of Lumon; it would play on the show's themes about identity to see how these characters may adopt different personas in their personal lives vs. the personas they adopt at Lumon; and it would add an interesting angle to Milchick's attempts to move up within the company if he is not only attempting that in the workplace, but literally pursuing a relationship with the company's boss.
Thoughts? If my theory is correct, I would expect us to start seeing this storyline play out in the next episode or two. What do y'all think? Is this plausible?
