Hello. Iām a relatively recent player of Shadows Over Loathing. I have a question for those who have more experience with the game, and the Wiki is of no help because of howā¦ unfinished it is.
According to what IS on the Wiki, āIf you absorbed the pillars in Government Valley you can still get the āgoodā ending as an Agent of Chaos.ā Iām still sort of a noob, but Iāve played the game enough to know what that means: āabsorbing the pillars in Government Valleyā entails gaining maximum Shadow Taint and drinking the Shadow to destroy all three Umbraline Pillars keeping the door to the Black House locked. This grants the Shadow-Charged perk, which allows you to claim your throne as the new Shadowcaster but locks you out of being able to use the Presidentās console at all (your character outright refuses to push either button). If I a, reading the page correctly, the Wiki is claiming (although there is no information about this on the Epilogue page, and nothing at all on the Shadow-Charged page) that an Agent of Chaos can still press the green button and save the world (the good ending).
My question, thus, is twofold. 1) Is it true that a character with the Agent of Chaos motivation and the Shadow-Charged perk can push the green button at the end of the game? And 2) Is that same character also able to push the red button (a bad ending, needed for Alphonse Gatorās achievement)?

2025.01.22 22:13 dontstopwontstop1 May have to go on 7 hour plus trip for funeral with family. Lower back hurts when I sit. The longer I sit the more it hurts. Should I go? How do you deal with long trips or do you just avoid them altogether?
Had chronic lower back pain for over 10 years. We used to do this ride when I was a teenager to see other family members but I havenāt done this ride as an adult especially not after having the lower back pain.
My family wants me to go and I want to go too being that it my aunt but the thing Iām worried about is how bad my back will be hurting. I canāt even sit when Iām at home for 7 hours, barely an hour to be honest. I have to get up and walk around for a bit.
If I do go and the pain becomes unbearable Iām basically stuck and have no choice but to deal with it. At the same time it is a funeral. What do I do? Any suggestions? For the people here who have back pain from sitting how do you deal with long trips or do you just avoid them altogether?

2025.01.22 22:13 Zachmcmkay Heater will not turn off when it hits set temperature when set to AUTO
 | Perhaps I am doing something wrong but I donāt think so. Our thermostat is set to AUTO, when we turn on heat and set a temperature for example 74 the heater will run and will not turn off until I manually move from heat to off. My understanding of what should happen is AUTO/Heat will heat until >74 and then should shut off and will keep doing this when the temp drops below 74. Maybe thatās wrong idk. It is not just me being inpatient, I have left it for over an hour with the fan still running and still heating. Thermostat was set at 74 and the temperature read 85. What is strange to me is the thermostat appears to change the display as if it thinks itās shut the fan off but that it hasnāt. Idk if that makes sense. Hello this is my first time posting on here (and on Reddit in general) me and my boyfriend are in a really bad situation and need advice.
Our landlord (my roommates mom) who is subleasing to us just kicked us out and gave us 2 weeks to move out. We have lived here for a little over a month (moved in middle of December) She is also denying us our deposit back. She currently lives with us all(4 not including her), not paying any rent herself. She is renting from someone else but decided to rent out to us and our 2 other roommates (landlords daughter + and daughters BF) as she wanted to live with her now ex boyfriend but decided she wanted to stay instead.
We did not have any paperwork to sign but we do have texts and venmo transactions to her. She sent us a long list of rules and things before we moved in. She is kicking us out because she doesn't like our cats. Which she agreed we could have here.
I honestly have no idea what to do, I am currently packing up me and my boyfriends things as I type this. Is this illegal?? I've always gotten at least half of my deposit back when I lived other places before. This is the 3rd place I've rented. Me and my bf have no where to go, we just paid rent which is over 1k. We both work but we don't make enough to have enough for a new place in 2 weeks.
Some advice would be very much appreciated!
