So we believe this cat was abandoned because she’s very very lovey and affectionate, and WANTS to be inside.
She was abandoned in the freezing snow and we brought her in and now she’s in our bathroom. She is currently laying on my lap asleep and purring.

The last, not even 72 hours have been brutal. We knew they would be but fuck. I can't see that he can go on for four years. He's knee-capped the country. Haven’t found a lot on this topic online so I thought I would ask here. I play tenor and I got these Vandoren strength 5s. I don’t have a really good mouthpiece, like the mouthpiece doesn’t even have a name on it😭. I’ve noticed I’ve had a better tone on the 5’s but it’s hard to have a nice loud tone and hit lower notes. I mentioned my mouthpiece because I’ve heard that most people play 5’s with a pretty high tip opening. I’ve also heard that a 3.5 reed is optimal for tone but I don’t have one to try.

2025.01.22 23:07 Cloudwolf-77 AITAH for wanting to quit my job and possibly ruin my financial credibility and impact my partner aswel?
I M32 work in a small production and manufacturing company that is owned and operated by my wife's family. I started working there a decade ago after selling everything my young backside owned and moved abroad to move in with my girlfriend (now fiance). I started working on the production floor doing the simplest tasks as my understanding of the language was basic at best, but since then have moved up to run the workshop in the company and by doing so increase the company output as a whole at least 5 times over.
The problem is that my soon to be FIL is the most narcissistic, hard headed piece of work that I have ever come across. Any opinion that you hold is incorrect, any idea you have is wrong, anything you do can be better or explained to you again even if you know it backwards already. And god forbid you actually make a mistake or a machine that does heavy work breaks or needs maintenance. This guy turns any good day into a nightmare. So future FIL decided that instead of lounging about and buying and selling materials and such he would join our small workshop crew and do some welding and work the lathe, since no one else (including me) wants to touch the 1980's death machine. After a few years it's just me and him left since no one else can stand his all-day every-day grump and have decided to leave. Even his own son escaped to another part of the company and only deals with him during lunch.
I would like to explain everything he does that irks me and everyone around him but I don't have 3 months or the energy to type it all out. But the necessity to paint a vivid picture so that you (the reader) can experience even a fraction of the ever present annoyance I and everyone around him experiences I'll need to sum it up.The short version is that in addition to his abrasive personality, some clients are friends of his and having to redo a project 30 times and make small changes because they keep changing their minds about something drives you insane. Changing his mind about decisions that impact day to day work. Conveniently forgetting conversations from the day before on important matter so that someone else can be blamed when something is wrong or delayed. Getting blamed for absolutely everything. Etc. You get the idea. When he does decide to do something it's usually after being asked 5 or 6 times and takes a week or 2 to do about 2 hours of work, with everything deconstructed and waiting to be put back together. Or talking on the phone in my office for hours and hours about his new car or politics or some other random nonsense.
Finally getting to the present. I do all the work now, since everyone has left; from ordering stock, meeting with clients, drawing models, wiring programs for the machines and the bouncing between the machines during the day to keep thing operational. For the past 6 months I've been complaining to him about 1 of our machines - basically the main workhorse of the workshop. Something has been off and I could figure out what was wrong. Firstly I got blamed for doing things wrong and the problem was dismissed but I'd complain weekly for months until finally the ball bearings of the machine gives and the while darn thing breaks. Now he finally agrees there's a problem but it's obviously my fault and should not have worked the machine if something was wrong. Now I would have had the machine fixed ages ago but (obviously) all our machines are bought through a company that one of his friends own so all contact sticky through him or he'll get annoyed and throw a tantrum like a child. Like an actual tantrum with screaming and storming off not to be seen fir the rest of the day. It's embarrassing to watch.
So machine gets fixed but incorrectly so it still doesn't work. Gets fixed again. Breaks again. Goes on for 6 weeks until it works properly again. But not really. Last 2 weeks there's been some discrepancies and the culprit is the machine again, same problem, same blame game.
It's a repetitive cycle and it's annoying at best and infuriating when not at best. So I decided that I am going to quit. I can't stand it anymore. Here comes the tricky bit. Since I am not a citizen and not married to my fiance because of archaic laws of the country and my home country turning into a shit hole and supporting some rather shitty people making it literally and physically impossible to marry I have the problem of deportation to worry about. My let's just call her wife - since we would have been married if we could. Are about 80% done with building our dream house, we've got a loan on some of it but have used every cent of our money saved up from living in a 200 year old shoebox that we renovated ourselves, and put it into this house. If I quit we're basically fucked. We won't be able to repay the loan and finish the house with just my wife's salary, even if I could work on the house and finish it myself instead of work at the company, we simply don't have the money for materials and such without my income. We'd have to sell but no one would buy an unfinished house and if they did we would definitely not get our money's worth.
My wife understands my problem, as she hides in her office away from her dad just like her brother hides from his dad and his wife hides from her husband, but she urges me to just keep trying. I don't think I can keep this up though, it's mentally draining. Hating waking up in the morning because I need to spend time with an asshole at work all day that makes me want to commit physical violence just so I can do it again the next day. Then see him on the weekends or holidays to have some more arguments about non work related things.
So to sum it up: I either continue working with a man that will eventually make me do something stupid like punch him in the face or burn myself out completely and go into depression. Or I quit and lose everything I've worked for over a decade get deported and out a giant strain on me and my wife financially as well as emotionally. And then have to figure out what the hell we do afterwards.
Help.

So my Radiator in my 540 cracked and as well as one of the upper hoses so most of my coolant leaked out. I had to go through some drama with a long time mechanic which resulted in me towing the car back to my house. Currently have new parts on the way.
