[Serious] How angry are you right now?

I've heard this phrase from various British people: "You alright" (comes out as a slurred "y'rite") and I'm always a bit confused on how to respond. From context, it seems to have two meanings (correct me if I'm wrong): equivalent to an American saying "How are you" in passing; are you being served / can I help you, e.g. from the barman at a pub You right may be dialectic or acceptable conversationally, but it is not standard written English. The standard form would be You are right, or informally You're right— perhaps the speaker is actually saying the latter but the 're is muffled by his or her speech or accent. If you think that the question implies asking for the reason of the mistake (if it is one), this should be stated explicitly in the question. If you think that the question does not ask for this, you cannot blame answers for not answering it – in fact this would make the answer digress from the actual question in my opinion. – If, on the other hand, you want to ask whether somebody has already checked your file, you should go with: Would you be so kind as to tell me if/whether you have checked … Could you please let me know if/whether you have checked … I would [greatly] appreciate it if you could let me know if/whether/when you have checked … 3.a) You would be that one. 3.b) You would be which one? 3.c) Which one would you be? Notice how the subject "you" ended up getting sandwiched between "would - be". A similar exercise can be done with the subject "Which one", except there is no subject-auxiliary verb inversion because the interrogative phrase is the subject: 4.a) That one would ... You could simply state: I believe this email was sent to me by mistake and wanted to make you aware of it possibly reaching the wrong destination. If this message was intended for me, I look forward to discussing the matter with you further. Or, if doing so would not "step on toes", you could simply stop by their desk/office and tell them in ... I think the implication in the expression "I'm home" is that you're home from somewhere. It may, as Mitch says, be that you've just come/gone in, but it doesn't need to be — you can be home from the front or home from university and have been back for a week or so. But a homecoming in the not-too-distant past is certainly connoted. If you're trying to convey that you want them to choose, but that you don't need a say in the choice, I'd personally choose "Let me know what you prefer," because I want to stay in the loop. If, on the other hand, I'm trying to say "I don't care what you do" in a polite way (simply saying that I'm not affected by the choice), I'd lean toward "It's up to you." @Rhodri: Well, I think You are right here. But what about something like "Gradually I SEE more and more people coming out of this building" - I heard one BBC reporter say that while reporting live. For sure, it's an on-going process, not one moment. – You are all right：你没事了，你很正常了。没关系。相当于you're OK. 用来回答别人的道歉。 You are right. 用法： You really are right 你确实说对了. You are right there 你就守候在. Hi,
I need to recover some very crucial data that is in my samsung phone. The phone is dead and won't charge either (apparently, the charging port is faulty). I can get it repaired but it would cost me about $100 because the part needs to be shipped from china. And even then, I'd have to wait for at least a month if not more.
I am looking to buy a new phone but really need the data from my old one. Is that somehow possible without me having to order the part from china with a dead phone?

As corny as that sounds, it's legitimately what I'm looking for. Someone to share our last first kiss. Our last first date. Our last first time we sang together (yea i love to sing so you're gonna have to sing with me). 6'0, 225lb, 36 year old Korean guy here. Born and raised in NYC but now live up in North NJ. Silly and goofy guy who's usually just down for anything. More of a homebody, but still down to go out to arcades, escape rooms, karaoke, go-karting and paintballing. 2025.01.23 02:42 Less_Document_8761 3rd time having “epididymitis”/“prostatitis” in a year’s time. Doubting it’s infection related.

This will be my third time having the whole nine yard of symptoms you see here. It’s mainly aggravated from sitting too long in my office chair and from straining when passing stool.
The last time I had it was a little less than three months ago. I took Ciprofloxacin for 3 weeks, and somehow a few days after the three weeks, my symptoms were gone. I really believe it was luck, and I happened to have a vacation so I was not really sitting a whole lot.
Anyway, I’m going to my family doctor tomorrow. He mentioned to me before that what I was experiencing is likely urine reflux (with no tests or anything to really back it up). I will bring up that this could be CPPS. I’ve done pelvic floor stretching 30 mins a day for 3 days now, and I noticed the pain behind my left testicle is much less, but I now have pain closer to my prostrate/rectum. If it really was epididymitis, I doubt this would have happened so quickly without taking any kind of medicine at all.
Wish me luck. I hope my doctor is receptive and can refer me to a pelvic floor physiotherapist. I’ve gotten past this somehow twice before, I’m sure I will again.

This movie was so bad. I don’t even know where to begin.
First off the overall plot structure, and even the scene structure, mimicked the first gladiator film so closely.
The acting was pretty bad overall. I felt like Denzel Washington did the best job. They literally had to telegraph in the script that Paul Mescal’s character was filled with rage.
How many times can they call back to “strength and honor” or “what we do echoes in eternity”. Felt like I was at men’s church group in the 2000s.
Lazy lazy lazy. Lazy script writing. Lazy acting. Lazy directing.

Unreal! Rufous came to feeder during winter freeze I have never seen a hummer here in South Texas after Dec 2. I have never seen signs that hummers winter here in Texas, but now I have evidence that they indeed do also here. This cutie Rufous came Tues morning when it was 21 degrees out and sleet. He came back again today and all feeders have fresh juice too so I am so stoked to see this. I have had feeders out all winter to see if there are any stayers so I was so happy to see this cute fella!
