I’m a second year student (in a 5 year program) and I’m currently at crossroads with my future career path. I’ve been considering fields such as dentistry as I feel it’s more tactile, interactive with people and most importantly more secure of a job
I would like to know all of your insights about the future ( next 10-20 years) of industrial engineering especially with AI and in future generative AI.
How secure of a job will we all have ? Can AI replace us in the next 10-20 years and if so how ?

I don't have a picture to post because it's not something I want a picture of, but I go out to grab this BMW with a coolant leak the service writer has sent down. 13, 14 maybe 5 series. I open the door and immediately wonder what's that God awful smell? I look in the back seat an it's covered in literal shit. No way the driver didn't know. Of course I refused it. No idea what the owners response was when called. They were called to come get it though.

Moderation here has deteriorated into infrequent visits from inactive moderators. We are looking for someone who mostly agrees with the our mission and the spirit of our rules — someone who gracefully but imperfectly navigates the conflicting notions of maintaining a feminist space without censoring feminists while reliant on tools that "censor". Hey all,
The draft inducer motor on my Payne (Carrier) took a crap on Monday. Coldest day of the year, of course.
I found a local hardware store/appliance warehouse that stocked the Packard 66753 and sold it to me for $199.64. They added a second line item of "15% tariff" for $29.94 but no other information. I didn't notice it at the time, only later when I got home.
I spent about 20 minutes searching for tariff information online, but can't find anything. Can anyone tell me if this is legit or BS? Yeah, I can call the shop and ask them for more information but I'd rather be armed with more information before I do so.

Sorry if this is a common post here.
I (try to) make gabber, hardcore, industrial, techno kinda stuff.
Used to have a Model Samples for a while, and really did not vibe with it to be honest, I sold it for a Polyend Play, which I like but rarely find myself reaching for, and relies too much on having external hardware (I also have a Microfreak & Kobol). But I'm now leaning further away from samples, as the sounds, to me, just fall flat, and annoying you can only do so much with the sound design throughout a composition, which is super important for things like gabber. Also tried an MPC as I got a good deal on it, but didn't vibe with the DAW in a box type thing. Samples have their place and everything, and I can see if you used the M:Samples as part of a bigger studio it'd have it's place, but as a (more or less) stand alone box, it wasn't for me. Anyway
Both the Syntakt & Cycles look great, and get that they share the same digital engines. I get the Sytakt is a much more self contained unit, filter, more LFOs, but if I am only using more or less as a drum machine, would I be missing something, at least as far as the genres I like go? Baring in mind there is a £600 price difference, and also baring in mind I do this at a hobbyist level.
