I damaged the passenger side mirror (powewith camera). The black plastic cover of the base is damaged. Everything seems to be working fine other than the mirror folding open 180 - way beyond the normal point.
It looks like I'll need to replace the mirror base assembly which is $1400 just for that part through the dealership.
I am hoping to be able to just replace it myself to save money. It looks fairly simple but the one thing I'm worried about is accidentally deploying the side airbags when removing the door trim. Would it be enough to disconnect the battery and wait a few minutes?
If anyone has advice for me I would really appreciate it

2025.01.23 03:23 newstings [PubQ] After a publishing offer, do I let agents know or can I withdraw completely?
I received a publishing deal from an indie publisher but still have 3 full manuscripts out with agents. I'm not super invested in any of the agents (except for maybe one) and really want to take this contract with the publisher. Is there a way to let these agents down gently, or should I still give them time to think it over and consider me for representation? And in either case, what would I say? I've heard conflicting points on what the right thing to do is here and definitely don't want to slight anyone.

So I understand the Helena outie theory and it's very plausible, but the common theory I see that Helly is an innie is that she lied out of embarrassment or caution or fear, none of which seems to be fitting her character to me.
I've seen some people suggest that maybe she's been pressured somehow by lumon to lie. Again why would Helly comply when she is otherwise ready to end her life out of spite? And how could lumon trust her not to change her mind?
My theory is that lumon erased Helly's memory of the whole gala and staged a replacement scenario. They awoke Helly in a tightly controlled environment and staged a night gardener to make her feel like she accomplished something but it was all fake. I haven't seen this theory floating around so apologies if it's a common idea.
There is a lot of evidence that lumon has memory editing capabilities. From MDRs work isolating emotions to innie Irv not remembering the testing floor hallway that he's obviously seen before, to the speed at which Burt and Irv start a relationship (not their first time). The "clean slate" protocol hinted at need not be a complete do over.
Lumon didn't delete the experience from the other characters because it's an invasive procedure that required Helena's cooperation that they haven't been able to get from the other refiners since the event.
While it still could be Helena E. as a mole, if it is innie Helly I think this is the most plausible explanation for why she "lied" - she literally didn't.
Thoughts?

I strongly dislike what Zuckerberg has done in politics recently. As a way to express displeasure, I know many people who have recently deleted their Facebook accounts. I'm tempted to do the same, but I was wondering if there was a way to show my displeasure even more—become a financial burden. I want to create $0 (or less) of revenue for Meta, but cost >$0 to support me. Ideally, the bigger the cost, the better.
I'm sure the amount I can cost Meta is small, but it's what I have in my power.
My biggest problem is that I don't know the best way to become a cost center for Meta. I'm hoping folks in this thread know. I'd love to hear your ideas!
Also, the benefit of not deleting my account is that I can use it again if Zuckerberg starts behaving like an a civil adult.
