I'm thinking of joining the army and going for active duty, my ASVAB score would likely be high, I've taken practice tests and have a high college GPA in STEM. I'm not exactly sure if I should follow this path, I'm aiming to be a 68W and go for rangers or SF. I'm mainly concerned that I'd be gone for 2-3 years and come back to my friends moving on with their lives and still have a partial degree to complete and not want to complete it. The army has great incentive to continue schooling, but I feel that taking some years off would coax me into never returning. Medical experience would great, and I'm aiming to go to med school in the future. Any perspective is appreciated.

I’m a newbie just beginning s2 and overall my biggest takeaway from H is that she truly seems like an amazing mother. It’s admirable for her to face such judgement from a community you once considered your family and safe space, but still empowering her daughters to come to their own choices and be their own people, but providing unconditional love and support at the same time.
I just watched the scene where her 2 younger girls have desire to go back to church, and I love what she said about how she would go back with them so they can feel supported and never have to do anything alone. That stopped me in my tracks. Maybe my mommy issues are shining through but how amazing for those girls to have that kind of support in a mom. As someone who is trying to break a different toxic family cycle, it’s really inspiring.
Don’t tell me if this gets ruined by poor choices later on, LOL

Hi, seeking advice for my 2 Calico spayed females, both 7-8 months old.
I've been keeping them in separate rooms since I adopted the new kitty 16 days ago. I've been doing everything right, feeding them with the door in between, rewarding calm behavior, scent swapping, etc. The new kitty has been gaining confidence and coming out of hiding, which is a good sign to me. I don't have a baby gate but I've been opening the door an inch and letting them stare/sniff at each other. most of the time, they touch noses and just stare.
But sometimes, they start batting at each other. I have been reading conflicting advice, some say to let them bat at each other as long as its supervised so they can test boundaries, some say don't let them touch under any circumstances. I just don't want it to escalate and undo all the progress we've made over the last 2 weeks.
someone please tell me what to do 😭 my options are either to keep doing what I've been doing and hope for progress, or maybe let them have more free roam and hope for the best. I'm just so confused because i see them sniffing each other and i think they're warming up and then the next time I open the door they have their paws up. I know I'm being impatient I just need to know if I'm doing the right thing.

I personally have lots of male frends in his 20s and I have two brothers and my father when it comes to looking for rolemodels to figure out how men really think.
However, even if living in quite sexually conservative society, half of men expressed they really don't care women's promiscuity in the past and they wouldn't care any less if it means women treat them well.
I'm not talking about desparate losers who have no options around women so have to take any women, I'm talking about socially well adjusted and exprienced men who have had series of their past relationships. My brother is actually virgin but he says he doesn't give a shit about women's past and is willing to have a LTR if she clicks with him well.
It could be true that they faked their genuine thoughts in front of woman(me) because they don't want to offend me, but after quite long periods of conversations they seemed like to understand very well that sexual double standard is illogical and how red pill ideology is kinda bullshit idea.
So whenever purplepilldebate keep claiming "women's body count" higly matters for most of men, I start to wonder if those men really exist in the first place because only man who was against by women's sexual promiscuity was my dad in his early 60s. Yes my dad married his virgin wife(my mom) so he definitely cared about them. But it's no wonder because past was much more sexually conservative than now.
I kinda have strong suspicion that men just say women's body count matter to control women's sexuality, nag women intentionally to lower her self-esteem, and give women false impression of men to win over the dating game just for their selfish reasons. I was once actually a virgin, but I was even dumped for having no sexual experience by a man and my first bf said that he would not have dated me if he knew I was a virgin because it means that he has to take care of me.
I'm not trying to say that there are no men who care about women's sexual past. Actually, as a woman I care about them since promiscuous men are complete turn off for me. I actually once dumped man at second date when he started to brag about his sexual conquests in the past. Disgusted and blocked him.
I know lots of women in real life in my friend circles who have high body count but they have zero problem to get men who gonna treat them well and being into LTR. I mean literally zero problem.
So men of reddit why do you lie about your intention that women's body count matters while in real life it is far from the truth?
I know the most red-pilled men gonna accept the town-bicyle if it means that woman is pretty and sociable because men just have no standards unlike they suggests.
Is it intentional nagging tactic like "women hit the wall at 30" to break down the women's self esteem so they could settle for less?
Is it just yeah you don't actually really that much care about it but somehow don't have any incentive to deny it because it's not you who are being attacked?
Is it because red pill's ultimate goal is to control the frame so women couldn't leave to satisfy your narcissitic tendencies?

I just received this upper and was really excited about this platform, as I felt like it served the perfect combination for a home defense weapon. I'm an owner of a couple AR-15s, as well a few handguns, all Sig, Glock, and 2011s, but I wasn't familiar with the AR-180 and wanted to purchase and try this out for myself. Since I wasn't familiar, I decided I should at least follow along with Caleb on the field strip YouTube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4S-Rli5mG4.
Everything was going great and the video was really easy to follow along with, but unfortunately, something awful happened at the last minute. As I was charging the handle, as Caleb was doing, on the upper and the guide rod and springs popped out and hit my chest. At first I was surprised, thinking maybe I didn't close the lock clip all the way, so I tried to insert it again and lowered the lock clip completely. It didn't lock up anymore, and after looking at it, I saw that the lock tab on the spring assembly had broken.
I don't think that was supposed to happen... but I noticed that the spring assembly base is some sort of polymer, while the guide rods are some sort of metal, so maybe that's why?
By no means is this post to bash on the new Gen 3, rather it's to warn anyone getting the new gen to not charge the handle without at least the lower receiver on until this is resolved. I've already contacted Brownells, which the customer rep bluntly just gave me a rather dry response to contact the manufacturer for a warranty request ([email protected]).

I have a Filipina girlfriend in a long distance relationship and she want to visit me but has never traveled outside the Philippines before. Luckily I live in Brazil and and I see Brazil is one of the countries Filipinos can visit without a visa, so, two questions….
1) Even though Brazil is visa free for her - does she simply buy a flight and hotel bookings? I’ve read (at least traveling to the USA it’s better to not say you are visiting a boyfriend or you will be denied, so, she will have return flight tickets and be able to show hotel bookings for the duration of her trip - anything else we should consider before risking buying airline tickets ?
2) I’ve read that even if you live in a country that is high risk of abusing a visa it’s easier to travel to other countries once you have some stamps in your passport and showed you complied with visa laws - is that correct? That is, we would both like to travel to other countries and are going her Brazil stamp can help.
