2025.01.24 14:53 Captain_Cardboard Jump pads should be looked at for a future patch
It is a bit ridiculous when a fight is happening adjacent to a jump pad and everyone is flinging through the air nonstop to avoid getting hit. It's especially bad for melee heroes who are struggling enough as is compared to their ranged counterparts.
I think a short, per character cooldown would remedy this. Like you get a "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" debuff for five-ish seconds after you use a jump pad. This isn't a major issue whatsoever, just something I think would improve the health of the game.

So I’ve got my Govee (RGBICWW) light bars all set up, connected to WiFi with LAN control enabled, and recognized by SimHub. I can also power the lights on and off through SimHub, but I’m not getting any actual lighting effects in-game (or at any point); the lights are just defaulting to whatever they are set to in either the Govee desktop or phone app. One step that I originally missed was closing the Govee desktop app before connecting to SimHub, but after deleting the device from SimHub and trying the correct way, I’m still getting the same result (even tried restarting the PC, and making sure Govee wasn’t running in the background via task manager). Any suggestions? The only thing I can think of is trying it with the Razer software downloaded, but the instructional video I was using suggested that it isn’t actually needed. Let me know if I’m missing something simple!

Hi!! I've been a support one trick ever since I started playing OW2 last year! Out of my 350 hours, I only have about an hour on tank :") I want to be more flexible with my roles and because most of my friends only play support, it's a bit hard to play games with them. I don't really have any specific tanks in mind but I really want to learn DVA, Ram, Zarya, Sigma, and JQ! I'm roughly Gold 3 to 1 on support, not exactly sure since I barely play comp. I'm really excited to try something new but it's a bit scary cause from what I know, tank seems to be the toughest role ;-; And I'm not sure if my mental will be strong enough to handle criticism from my team, but I will try my best! Any advice or tips, other than turning chat off, will be greatly appreciated! Thank you :D

I was buying shares of a stock for $1000 and didn’t realize the “$1243” it was showing me available was apart of the borrowing cash. I meant to buy it through my bank and forgot to transfer funds from my bank into schwab before doing so

imo there's no oken, aizen just needed all that karakura town reishi to break the barrier and enter royal palace like ikomikidomoe or like the shinigamis creating a reishi gate

Hey friends,
I recently graduated a semester early in December 2024 but my graduation ceremony is in May 2025. I have been an F1 student in the US since middle school and have always returned to my home country at least once or twice a year for the holidays, never overstaying my visa. Although my F1 visa does not expire for a couple more months (it expires a few months after my graduation ceremony), I learned that I would need to re-enter the US under a tourist visa for my grad since my program has ended. Everyone in my family has had a tourist visa for years and will be joining me for the ceremony.
I left the US as soon as I finished my program, and I am currently employed at my family’s company and have a high salary. My trip will still be funded by my father since it’s only been a month at my job. I also got engaged recently but have not been officially married yet. In the last five years, I have traveled to about 7 countries in the Schengen Area, the UK, Japan, Thailand, and the UAE. One of my sister has a green card and lives in Atlanta but my school is in LA, and I plan on mentioning that if asked.
Is there anything I should prepare? I have only been through the F1 process, so I want to make sure I’m well prepared. I have absolutely zero plans of overstaying, and I hope my information demonstrates that well. I will be going for a week or less.

Ok so it's been more than one year that I suffer the HORRIBLE taste of lamictal (lamotrigine).
I tried nearly everything. Changing the brand (different lab), taking it with applesauce, yogurt... (Not taking them)
It's even worse for me bc I took it during a traumatic event and I associated the taste with the event.
My saviour? Rice paper or nori.
Ok, so now what I do is: take a rice paper (the same you would use for spring rolls) or even nori (Japanese algae you see on maki rolls). You both wet them a little, and then put it on the lamictal. Eventually I make a little ball that's small enough to take on it own.
Note: You have a wait a little more of the rice paper BC it needs a little more time to become a little more flexible (??)
I can also work with bread: if you take like sandwich bread and you take the inside (idk how to call it I'm french it's the "mie"), the soft part and you press you can use it too but I find it more thick and thus more difficult to swallow
I don't know if it will help someone, but I searched for so long a solution and it really helped me take my meds better

Hi there! I was hoping to maybe get some advice on how to be there for my parents whose marriage isn't the best right now - I felt posting into this group might grab the attention of someone who has either gone through what my parents are going through or is actively going through it. I'm just not sure how to be there for them as their daughter.
In 2024, my mom caught my dad cheating on her. He then admitted to cheating on her with the same woman (a coworker) for almost 15 years (they've been married for a total of 20 years). Big yikes. Definitely hurt all of us pretty deeply, of course my mom was a disaster. All of my siblings plus myself are over the age of 18, however my youngest sibling still lives with my mom and dad (they're the only child left in the nest). They often got caught in the middle and the rest of us siblings stepped in and advocated for them because it's not fair to the only child (over 18 but still) remaining in the house to be forced to referee their parents' marriage.
When this first came out, my parents sorta seemed mad at us as their kids because I'm guessing we didn't react in a way that they thought or wanted? As siblings, we were all on the same page though. a. They're both still our parents. b. It's going to take time for that trust to be built back up for all parties involved, but mainly between my mom and dad. c. We're all adults and live in different parts of the state, therefore we have our own lives and our parents' marriage weren't at the top of our priority list. That's between them. It would be different if we were all minors still, but we're not. The youngest sibling is about to graduate college.
My mom forced me to say something to both of them. She said that my dad didn't want to call me (despite him calling all of the other siblings to gauge how they were feeling about the situation. I think because I'm the oldest and the leader of siblings, he was scared to call me) and that I should reach out to him instead. So I went ahead and texted them both in a group chat and basically just said i hope you guys work it out but i will support you both no matter if you stay together or not.
They immediately starting going to marriage counseling. I truly am hoping they work it out but at the same time, my mom holds grudges very very hard. For example, I am in my 30s and she still lectures me/gives me shit for a time I snuck out of the house at 16 to go to a party. I've not expressed this to them though, because my mom might rip my head off for it.
Fast forward 8-10ish months in (last month), my mom stopped talking to me despite me and her regularly talking everyday (just texting; neither of us are callers). Naturally I was upset by her avoiding me (I still texted her like nothing was wrong but they went unanswered for weeks). The youngest sibling that still lives at home never wants to be home with just the 2 of them there, so my sibling was always out and about avoiding going home, so one weekend they came to my house for the weekend. This was not long after my mom started ignoring me.
Of course whenever my sibling came over, I asked why mom was ignoring me. They said mom went on a rant one week (the week she first started ignoring me) and said we were ungrateful and she was done talking to us. (my brain said ??) I was mega confused. We talked everyday, I see my parents at least once a month despite living 2.5-3 hours away from them (we always drive to their house to see them might I add - my parents haven't traveled to my home in YEARS). I didn't talk to my dad as often as my mom, because my dad works 3rds so his schedule is opposite of mine. So, I just decided I wasn't going to talk to her anymore if that's what she truly wanted. She eventually texted me here and there, but we still to this day don't talk everyday like we used to. At most, we'll talk maybe once a week and honestly it's usually her texting me about what an awful day she had or about the weather. I briefly mentioned to my mom in a text once not long after her she first started to ignore me that we didn't talk much anymore. I had told her something and she said she didnt know about it and I said "we dont necessarily talk much anymore so you wouldnt have known about it" (not trying to point fingers or anything) and she said she'd been emotionally drained and didnt feel like talking. I didn't press it and I figured when she wanted to talk to me more like we used to, then she would.
Fast forward to now, they're supposedly experiencing financial troubles (reported from younger sibling who still lives there- mom told them she wasnt going to be able to provide much food for lunch or dinners because they needed to save money). But...my mom has gotten several tattoos in the last month. Prior to this, she only had one small tattoo by her wrist on one of her arms, but now basically has a half sleeve. Tattoos aren't cheap.
When I'm around my parents, they're lovey dovey towards each other but it feels forced and is slightly one-sided (my dad being all over my mom, not really the other way around). They've also been doing stuff that they normally wouldn't do (like going out to clubs and stuff). I just feel confused as to my mom's actions and I understand the stuff they wouldn't normally do is probably a therapy thing. I've been positive and reassuring whenever my mom tells me about their adventures.
There's definitely more to it such as they started having kids when they were both under 18 so they didnt necessarily mature in the emotional department...I'm also pretty sure my mom has an undiagnosed bipolar disorder of some sort (same with my grandma/her mom). There's definitely a lot more to it, so I really only scratched the surface. I dont think I handled it right in the beginning (idk how else i shouldve handled it bc clearly ive never experienced this before) but I felt since then I've tried to be better. She will answer my texts when I ask about their therapy and wellbeing as a couple, but it's always the opposite of what I hear from my sibling that still lives with them (theyre not doing as well as she says). I feel like I just need to wait it out because it will take time, but I'm not sure.
I understand that we definitely need to sit down as a family and talk it out because when we're all together, we act as though nothing happened. I'm just at a loss of how I should be there for them and be more supportive, especially when my mom won't even talk to me. I try to put myself in her shoes but I'm autistic so it's difficult for me to try to put it into perspective.
