Hi everyone!
I just moved out of my parents home in Jan 2nd. My stepdad has bonded heavily with our 8 year old Quaker who will stay behind with them. They still have my 3 year old male cockatiel named Harper.
Thoughts were that we’d get settled before taking him simply for stress sake for everyone, especially Harper.
Context: we are on the third floor of a condo/apartment complex. We have one bedroom open concept apartment, with plenty of room for him between our dining table area and living room area.
I have taken off 4 days mid February. I will be moving him over in his cage with all his familiar surroundings, but want to transition him over to a bigger cage in the next few weeks. He’s in a roomy cage right now, but it is not a flight cage, and he tends to get bored and aggressive/hormonal due to mirrored toys my parents refuse to remove (I will!)
How do you all suggest I begin this transition? Any tips for moving my baby into apartment living? He is fully flighted and we honestly personally prefer to keep it that way. We know to be safe with the slider door and apartment entrance - considering possibly purchasing a magnet closure curtain for his safety in event of an escape attempt.

 | After the tests, the vet said that the liver was enlarged but not in a dangerous stage, that the diarrhea was due to an infection, but he couldn't find a reason for the yellowing of her skin. He gave her some medicine to take. I really hope that the vet made the right diagnosis and that my daughter will get better soon. So I've been chatting with an artist at a studio i usually go to. This artist is a visiting one. She quoted me $700 and asked for a deposit of 100. 3 days before the planned date, she says actually with the edits we spoke about it's now $1000. The edits we confirmed together was about 2 weeks ago.
I'm getting weird vibes like they might increase the price again once I get there. I also paid the $100 deposit a month ago
Is this type of sudden price increase normal? I would think they would give you a new price once they are doing edits and discussing with you. Not 3 days before the booked day

Most illness I can understand like the opposite of Anorexia people who eat have an dangerous attachment to food they can look in the mirror and know it’s hurting them, all the weight makes it difficult to live but people with Anorexia do they acknowledge how bad they can get? Do they do it because they don’t feel skinny enough or is there much more to it? Because there is an influencer with Anorexia it’s scary to look at her because you can see her bones clearly every time she moves you can see her tendons or muscles move with her.
I know when they’re that skinny people let them know that they are sick but the people with Anorexia don’t think they’re skinny enough, so are they that delusional? How can they not see the health problem it causes or don’t know that having weight is good and from what I heard you can’t really reassure them or tell them they’re beautiful or that they were beautiful before they starved themselves, tell them they need to eat more or get help. It sounds like a really complicated topic it’s the only mental illness I dont really understand.
