I have been investing for years through 401k but I am new to taxable accounts. I recently have inherited an IRA will be required to start taking RMDs. I will be opening a JTWROS and looking for suggestions on what to invest in. I have financial advisor friend that suggested 70% VTI and 30% VEA. But I have also seen a lot of discussion about some of the fidelity mutual funds line FXAIX. I appreciate some input. Thanks

He urged me to join in, claiming it was a guaranteed opportunity to earn big returns—invest $5,000 and get a 200% return. His enthusiasm immediately raised red flags for me. The website he shared looked like a hollow shell with no real substance, just the kind of thing scammers use to bait unsuspecting victims.
What made me even more suspicious was the text he sent. It sounded like a copy-pasted pitch straight out of a multi-level marketing (MLM) playbook. To make matters worse, he showed me a picture of the person he’d been chatting with on the platform—someone whose profile screamed "AI-generated" or "scam."
When I called him to voice my concerns, he became defensive and frustrated. He couldn’t understand why I was so hesitant to invest in what he called a "sure thing." He assured me that he was making trades through his Charles Schwab account and that this new platform didn’t have access to his funds. He even mentioned that he recently lost $58 on a trade, and the firm promised to reimburse him with Bitcoin.

This game is becoming more and more pay to win and that just drains the fun out of the game.
First of all, Niantic putting random ass Pokémon like Shroodle and Salandit in 12 km eggs which most players cannot even get because their inventories are full of crappy 7 and 5 km eggs. And speaking of eggs I am fucking tired of hatching endless Pancham and Alolan Voltorb.
Then they make Skidoo and Mudbray, in person event exclusives for some reason as if they think that everyone is Mystic7 and can attend.
Events are becoming hella repetitive and bring NOTHING new to the game rendering them pointless.
And for fucks sake Niantic, think of people who live in places where nobody but them is playing the game for once! Not everyone has a local community to get Gigantamax mons and Dynamax Legenaries! Add alternative ways of getting them. And also the party feature sucks. Add the option to add NPCs to your party if you don’t have anyone you could add.
Why has the coin bag not gotten the mystery box treatment yet? Are players who don’t have a switch and Scarlet/Violet supposed to never get Gimmighoul and Gholdengo or something?
And stop cycling through the same legendaries over and over again! There’s so many unreleased ones so release those instead!
Anyways I used 2 magnetic lures and got just 3 or 4 rookidee from them. At this point it feels like the game is designed to NOT give you the new pokemon undless you spend a load of money.
I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way but I just had to get some things out.

I had an idea for the game that probably only I'd like, but I want it so badly. Basically, I use multiple Switch profiles for different characters and OCs, yet I never see them outside of their house, or even INSIDE their house for that matter. So I had the idea that the other humans could wander around the town sometimes to make the town feel more alive and feel like they're actually THERE. They’ll have no dialogue though, and if you talk to them they’ll simply wave. (This is an important part, because I couldn't imagine player avatars having dialogue in this situation.) For example, when I play as File 1 I want to see the character from File 2 around the town sometimes. The fact that this doesn't happen actually breaks my immersion a bit honestly, haha... Also, I know this would never happen because it won't be on-brand for Animal Crossing, but my dream game is like Animal Crossing except you can also interact with characters you create yourself. So I guess like a cross between AC and Tomodachi Life.

Is there any affordable housing thats worth it (to own) right now? New home builders dont have a good rep, id rather trust an older home builder for the longevity. Currently i make 43k a year & my wife makes 27k a year. I have a truck loan of 48k. We have a 2yr son but want another down the line so thats why picking a home is important to us. I’m horrible with budgeting and findom. I use YNAB and each month I say “this budget looks good, I just won’t spend on findom”.
Then, when I’m stressed out from work mid month I end up relapsing and at the end of the month I get stressed out from all the red.
I’ve tried actually adding a budget category for this, but then I seem to just spend that like free money and then still go over.
Not sure why I’m writing this, just venting I guess. I hate this fetish sometimes.
