I re-watched Season 1 and just finished Season 2 in the last couple of days and while that means I've stayed up too late the past few nights it was worth it for the payoff at the end of S2. It's just a beautiful show, and it's made me feel appreciative of the people I have in my life that make up my community. Each character gets enough of a space to shine and have their flaws and their tribulations to overcome. So many funny lines and moments. I think what's most impressive about it is how they are able to keep everyone moving forward while still having just the right amount of stumbling blocks that it creates some tension, but not so many that it overshadows the warm and fuzzy moments. And talk about a nice payoff at the end there, the scene and the music and the moment gave me the tingles.

2025.01.29 06:11 Mother-Wall3449 I have probably had very severe OCD since I was a kid and I only just realized what it was.
Growing up, I was an overthinker with an overactive imagination. I remember being convinced that a boy in school was obsessed with me, and was so disgusted/scared by him that it made my daily life miserable. This occurred again for a different boy. I was only 9-12 at the time. I can’t even imagine why I would be concerned about them “having a crush on me” or why on earth it would make me literally afraid to go to school.
When I was 9 or 10, I watched a TV show about a guy who was sleepwalking and killed his whole family. I then became deathly afraid that I would one day sleepwalk and do the same. Even though I had no history of sleepwalking. I put a childproof door knob cover on my door because I somehow thought it would prevent me from leaving my room if I sleepwalked.
When I was about 10, 11 ish I had a fear that I would get kidnapped. It was to the point where I would literally sprint from the bus stop back home and make my grandma sleep in the same room as me, and put a broomstick against the door so if an intruder came in I would be alerted.
Then when I reached middle school/ high school I had a deathly fear of being arrested. Not exactly sure what for, but in my mind small little infractions got amplified and I was convinced that I would be arrested and tried for a crime.
When I was in my early 20s I lived alone for a brief period of time and was obsessed with the idea that there was someone hiding in my apartment without me knowing.
I’m 27 now and still having recurring intrusive thoughts, obsessive thoughts, health anxiety, and very worried that I will be arrested for something or other despite the chances of it being extremely miniscule. I worry that police officers are building a case against me for “something” despite a pretty bland and blameless past. I cant stop thinking about getting arrested, charged, and going to jail. It is affecting my daily functioning and causing me to go into depression. I have intrusive thoughts about things that I can do to ruin the good life I have right now (good job, financial security, relationships, friends, family). I cant stop thinking “this will all just go away if I do ‘x’ and I will be left with nothing.”
I always thought people with OCD were just extremely neat and tidy all the time. I never thought that just by thinking these thoughts I could have OCD. Does it sound like I have it? Should I see a psychiatrist?

I used to be a happy guy, always laughing and hanging out with friends. Now I just feel like a husk of my old self. I don't feel the same joy ,in stuff, as i once did. Things that used to make me happy ,don't anymore. I'm a huge gamer and not even gaming excites me as much anymore. I don't know what happened to me over the years, but I hope this lonely, indifferent feeling just disappears.

2025.01.29 06:11 Sea-Form-9124 Unpopular take: as a viewer, more teams in the endgame doesn't mean more exciting
I hear both the pros and the commentators say that ED is good because it always has "high quality" games, high quality meaning lots of teams alive in the end circles. As a viewer I've never really understood why this has always been accepted without question. It feels like there's no action and then all of a sudden you have 17 teams throwing bubbles, Gibby ults, evac towers going up, and new castle walls being slammed. I have no idea what is going on and who is whom and then it's all over after like 1 minute. I understand the pros prefer these types of games and I'm not one to argue against that. But at a viewer, I also enjoy storm point and some of the more open maps where teams have to fight earlier on and take risks to secure game winning positions.
Ultimately I love the map variety and I'm not arguing against including ED, I just don't think lots of teams in end game = "high quality" and I hope ALGS keep the other map styles around too.
