As of right now, I have a 660 day streak on duolingo in section five, unit 21 of French. As of recently I’ve found it really difficult to go onto duolingo and do some lessons. I used to be able to go on and do 10+ lessons daily, but as the course progressed and I became more confident in French I’ve had no motivation. I recently had a situation where I required to use my French to assist an emergency situation and my knowledge helped immensely, but this still hasn’t motivated me further. I’m just unsure how to continue. Any advice?

Having just got out of rehab it's apparent to me that people aren't "crazy," they just need a hug and a shoulder to cry on. No one should ever be lonely or made to feel abandoned. I wasn't happy to be there, to be honest, I wished I had died the night I OD'd, but seeing everyone's smiles, their hearts opening up, when the RN that night (god bless her soul) played everyone's favorite songs on her guitar was beautiful. Just hurt souls finding that childlike whimsey they had been denied for so long.

ere is a set of twins at my school. They are both tall, pale and skinny. There is something so off putting about them. They have every class toegther and they sit at the back of the classroom alone. They do not talk to anyone else, they don’t even talk to each other. People have tried sitting next to them or talking them including myself but they just do not answer back. Like I ask them a question or introduce myself and they last stare blankly at the wall ahead. When they are toegther it’s like they are communicating but not talking. I catch them staring at eachother intently not saying a word or them both staring yards ahead in a dead trance. They go everywhere together and somehow they both always know what to do. They will be staring in the distance then both suddenly get up in exact unison, walk in a single file line to go and grab something, then turn and sit down in the same manor. I’ve never seen them smile, or laugh or show any emotion at all. They look exactly identical and wear the same clothes the only way I can tell them apart in because one wears a white ribbon and the other a black. I think this is so weird.

Whenever I try to stay optimistic or hopeful, whether about things working out one way or another, my mind often says, "Yeah, it's going to be fine." For example, when I'm applying for a job, hoping to perform well in a test, or expecting to stand out among my peers in a competition, I try to picture myself succeeding. But then, a thought crosses my mind: "This world, sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you don’t." According to Islam, Allah (SWT) gives to whom He wills. To say it again, this world is for whomever Allah chooses; not everyone gets everything they desire. So, my mind shifts from optimism to a more resigned belief, it may happen, or it may not. That’s how I understand life; things happen only if Allah wills it. When I think about it this way, I start wondering: What if it doesn’t happen? And then my mind spirals into worst-case scenarios. I begin ruminating, imagining all the things that could go wrong. It becomes an endless loop, a cycle of panic. When I try to be hopeful again, another voice in my head says, "It will only happen if Allah wills it." There’s no guarantee, and sometimes Allah may not grant it because of past sins. If anyone could explain this feeling or offer some insight into this conflict of hope and acceptance, I’d really appreciate it.

I'm trying my first pybricks programs with a Spike hub, and if I attempt to use the gyro to hold position after a move, or turn, it periodically goes haywire and spins around and around until it is stopped.
I'm surprised I see nothing about this in the last year of posts. My co-coach has had the same exact experience on a different robot (same base type).
When I switch to positional encoders from gyro, or I don't hold after going straight my program will work fine.
Does this sound familiar?

I (26M) am getting a large number of likes and matches on my bumble profile the last few weeks, averaging around 25 new likes and day and 5-10 matches. This is odd as I’m some who should be getting maybe one or two likes a day and maybe a match or so a week. I don’t have any paid subscription and as far as I can tell my profile is not being boosted by anything. I’m obviously not complaining but is this some sort of bug/ did bumble change the algorithm? Is this happening to anyone else?
