Grabbed these at the thrift store for $10. Googling the 8287 model shows me a 1990s production date, but it was also very inconsistent as to when exactly these were made. The "Made in England" gives me hope though!

2025.01.30 22:20 kinker046 VM goes way over the set size limit. Is this normal?
I started having this problem after using Unassigned Devices and a dedicated ssd for VMs. I have tried three seperate times. one with windows 11 set to 230G, one with windows 10 initially set to 230G but i shrinked it to 210G and now again with Ubuntu Desktop set to 200G. The ssd i'm using is 240gb, but somehow the VMs keep filling up the disk to the point where the VM pauses due to lack of disk space. There is only ~700mb used when i remove the VM from the ssd, so there isn't anything else filing it up. Is this Normal behavior for VMs? Or did i misconfigure somthing?

It’s common to talk about the issues of having 'unmet needs’, or that people have ‘a hierarchy of needs.’
For everyday discussion, this makes sense. It acknowledges and normalizes common desires (ex; to feel appreciated) and the resources that enable better health (ex; personal support, shelter).
When it comes to understanding of how humans operate however, ‘Needs’ are a limiting idea that are almost never properly qualified.
Before any need comes an unsatisfied condition.
You only need air, in order to breathe. You only need to feel safe, in order to reduce anxiousness, uncertainty, etc.
Inherently, the only thing humans need is Human DNA structure. While the various conditions we exist under of course have needs of their own, the value of each condition changes from person to person.
Do soldiers who self-sacrifice value the condition of being alive? Does a nomad with no sense of home value the conditions for stability and shelter? Does someone with an eating disorder value the conditions for bodily health? Does feeling understood matter to someone who has no community or respect for the thoughts of others?
How each person determines that value, intentional or not, changes their desires and motivations. Even if we believe that what another person values is the result of them being mentally ill, it doesn’t change how that value is inherently subjective. (psychologically; putting morals / philosophy aside)
Obviously, most people have similar opinions on what is valuable (ie; most people place high priority on not starving.). But, there’s still an issue with the tendency people have to overrule the individuality of others by believing they have an insight into what they ‘need’.
Teaching this to my clients is something I can say has lead to much stronger adaptive thinking and, for a subreddit on EQ, I’m curious to see what discussion gets sparked.
Tldr; Humans don’t have inherent ‘needs’ – just motivations and desires. Maslow’s hierarchy is popular because it’s relatable, not because it’s accurate.

So basically the title. I have been sitting on this one for a while but really wanted to know whether others noticed this too. I noticed it during her solo promotions, that whenever she acts mature/her age the people she's with will start to treat her like a small child. I don't have an exact example rn (will try to find one!) I get she is like our maknae and whatnot and people love her as such, but honestly she's 25/26 now people need to start accepting she's a grown woman! I noticed this in multiple interviews she did, did anyone else catch this?

Idade: 35 anos
A casa onde vivo é muito boa pra mim (solteiro sem filhos). É um t0 ao lado da praia e numa zona muito boa. 14km do trabalho (não apanho trânsito).
Não preciso de casas grandes para viver etc e já vi casas por €150k ou menos na minha zona que chegam perfeitamente.

Hello, I’m now on day 9 and starting yesterday I started getting some pretty bad nausea and my gag reflex has been triggered a lot. I’m a pretty severe emetophobe and I’ve been feeling very anxious all day and mostly just trying to sleep to combat it. I’ve been taking zofran but I get really nauseous again before the 6 hour mark is up to take it again. I’m mostly just trying to figure out if anyone else has experienced nausea like this this many days in and why it might be so I can stop it 😭 I’ve had a lot of mucus in the back of my throat so I’m wondering if it could be from swallowing that or if it’s from not eating enough because I do feel hungry underneath the nausea but I’ve been too scared to eat all day because of my gag reflex and also just don’t want to have anything to throw up, but if eating will make it go away I’ll do it. Sorry if this is dumb just very anxious.

I don’t know if I’m overreacting, but my grandfather saw someone outside pull up to our house, slow down in the middle of the road, take a picture of our house, then he turned around and took a picture of our mailbox as well (we share a communal one, where our mailbox is in rows of drawers with everyone else’s). I have no clue why anyone would do this, the only thing I can even think of is theft. There is a new car in our driveway and we receive checks in the mail for adoption assistance. Does anyone know why else someone would do this? If it’s malicious can I even do anything? Only description we really have is his appearance and that he was driving a black sedan with a sunroof.
