Finally getting around to posting this. Some of you may be familiar with singer songwriter Wesley Stace, who has been putting out amazing music since the 90’s as “John Wesley Harding” (yes). Anyway, his song “In Paradise” on his album John Wesley Harding’s New Deal, is a poignant check in on Terry and Julie, some years after Waterloo Sunset. Also happens to be one my favorite of his songs. Link below.
He recorded an outtake from that album in which he melds both songs. Link also below.

What I mean by this is that many make the mistake (especially after breakups) to rush into relationships. This is because they want to feel the closeness and trust of a relationship. I made this mistake, but because of it I went back to my ex. But, when we were dating the second time I didn't really even like her. I liked the closeness and the warmth yes. And that was a mistake. You get those things from any relationship, but what matters is whether or not you like the person.
Another piece of advice, thankfully I didn't make this mistake but I see many dudes make it online. "Just be yourself bro" is the most valid cookie cutter advice ever. Reason being that that really is all you need to do. Now if you feel you have to put on a persona, then maybe your personality isn't fully developed yet. Pick up a hobby, learn an instrument, and grow yourself. That way you have the confidence to show the true you off. Instead of acting like you're mysterious, and that there's more to you then there actually is.
Anyway, I hope this helped some poeple. I'm mostly speaking from personal experience here.

Looking for advice. I move my funds around to take advantage of various promos at different banks.
I didn't even know the apple promo was a thing because I'm a newish user. I moved my funds out Nov 6th to tangerine. Then I seen the apple promo and registered in December. Moved funds over January 4th. Technically met all the requirements.
They let me select the product, colour, etc. Then about 2 weeks later I get an email saying I'm not getting the promo because I did what they say is "game the system". Called in and they confirmed that I'm flagged in the system for withdrawing so close to the promo. I gave up.
Anyway I can despute this? I was planning to transfer out for another promo but I'm lazy and want the MacBook.

2025.01.31 00:48 Particular-Camera612 A question about Shadow and Rouge's relationship in Sonic X (Season 3 spoilers)
In episode 74, I'm confused as to what makes Rouge completely okay with joining the group and leaving Shadow behind on the planet?
This feels more egregious in the Japanese version with the bar scene where Shadow outright tells her that she doesn't need to follow him anymore, only for her to chose to go with him. She's following him of her own volition at that point after he gave her the option to leave. She had no disagreements with him about the Cosmo situation and tried to justify it on a couple of occasions.
The only possible justification is that maybe seeing the Earthea/Meterax backstory might have given a different view on Cosmo as an innocent victim of circumstance, but there's not a single moment that makes this change clear.
Rouge gets no scenes with Shadow to justify the two of them going separate paths and that bothers me because the show did establish a growing dynamic between them. From not trusting to somewhat mutual trusting.
I know Shadow was being stubborn and refusing to join them, but I don't see why Rouge isn't with him. And if she's not, why not have a scene between the two of them that shows them going separate ways? Otherwise it just feels obligatory.

the amount Buddha prepares is overstated. Don’t get me wrong, he absolutely studied up. But i don’t think he came up with stunning insights. All of us know front of house can be a killer in restaurant wars, that you should research the host city to understand the different challenges that may come up, and that you should not do risotto.

i think
- if you just focus on a chefs table and take away non cooking duties in restaurant wars you’re not doing much different than any other team challenge
- Beefsteak was a perfectly fair challenge that was explained fine
- chefs should be allowed to use rice cookers
- ingredients like waffle mix and boxed pasta aren’t a big deal
