2025.02.01 19:30 XRPcook Spicy Chicken Croquettes

Since I couldn't squeeze it all into my other post, here's some spicy chicken croquettes 😆
They start the same way with cooking some potatoes and running them through a ricer or sieve.
Chicken breast was cooked plain in olive oil (to stay dog friendly) with a little broth until it could be shredded. Add broth as necessary to keep it from drying out.
Cook a few strips of bacon until extra crispy then set aside. In the bacon fat, add garlic & onion, when it gets soft and smells good toss in some shredded chicken. Season it with SPPOG + chili powder then mix in some chipotle adobo sauce, taste test and add more if you want it spicier.
Let it cool down a bit before mixing it with the potatoes. Shape some balls and chill in the freezer until you have some nice, firm balls 😅
While your balls are chillin, make a bacon fat roux. Stir in cream until it gets smooth and start adding cheese. I used oaxaca and shredded cheddar. Add as needed until it reaches your desired consistency, some people like it extra thick on their balls 😂 season w/ garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, chili powder, & oregano.
Once your balls are set..flour, egg, panko, and let em drop 🤣 fry until golden brown & crispy. In my previous post I mentioned doing a couple test balls to check oil temp and time, if the middles aren't quite done, pop them in the oven at tree fiddy.
Smother with queso, sprinkle with crispy bacon bits & scallions, then enjoy!
I made these at the same time as the other ones so dog pic for tax 😆 they got plain chicken/potatoes w/ plain gravy

Hello, I have a sheet with merged cells that looks like this AB7:AE14 AG7:AJ14 AL7:AO14 AQ7:AT14 (see image) then we move to the next line AB16:AE23 AG16:AJ23 AL16:AO23 AQ16:AT23 I want these cells to display ALL the images that I have in my 'list of films and series' sheet that are in B8: B1000. see the image also. how to do it? What is the formula? And if possible I would also like to filter by movie genre (which is in F8:F1000 in my first sheet) and the filter cell is in AF5:AI5. I'll give you a picture of what I'm thinking of doing but enter it manually. What I would like is for it to start automatically every time I add a movie or series to my first sheet.

Hey all. I live in Marin County which is a cycling paradise but there is a lack of any crit races in the county. I think the biggest obstacle is large areas where you can set up a course. I was thinking about organizing informal races and looked at the fairgrounds parking lots here as a possibility. That said, I was hoping for some feedback on the course I’ve laid out here. I’m 29 and looking at trade careers - carpentry, electrical, stationary engineer are some apprenticeships I’m looking into. I’m a woman and a really hard worker and looking for a long lasting career. I used to work outside in a physically demanding job and I loved it. Now I’m at a desk and very unhappy. Upon my research I’ve seen that going union is best for pay and protection. 2025.02.01 19:30 ajaxxje Laptop thermal throttling? Help!

Our laptop, which we run with an external monitor as it's main screen, has been having some performance issues. It has run smoothly for a few years, but then we started occasionally having huge fps drops (from ~144fps down to ~40fps), which we narrowed down (we think) to thermal throttling. So we brought it into a store, where we had it cleaned and also the thermal paste was replaced.
After bringing it home however, it was somehow MUCH worse than before. Now we boot up the laptop, we'll run a game for ~5 minutes, before the performance massively drops off. We then brought the laptop to another store, which replaced the thermal paste, due to it looking like there was too much thermal paste on it.
However, the problem persists. But here's what we don't understand, the temperatures are fine for our laptop (87-93 celsius). And the thermal limit for the laptop is 100C. Despite this, as soon as we set our fans to max, the laptop performs much much better. And I want to emphasise, it performs much better LITERALLY the second we press the button to max out the fans... Surely that's not normal? It feels almost like a placebo effect for the laptop.
To rule out software related issues, we also reset the laptop. The laptop has run fine for a few years now, and the problems only really got bad AFTER bringing it to the first store.

CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz
System type: 64-bit Operating system
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU

I suspect most people will find this a silly question. I’m learning electronics from scratch, currently reading through a book on voltage current etc. I also have a kit with leds, resistors and other components that I’m practicing with.
Anyway I know that current flow is conventionally +ve to -ve but electrons actually go from -ve to +ve. However in both of these circuits I get the same brightness on the bulb.
When I connect the positive terminal of the LED to the positive terminal of the battery and then connect the negative terminal of the LED to the resistor, shouldn’t I get all 3.3V of voltage across the LED?
Whereas if the resistor is first then I can understand that the voltage is reduced before the LED is lit.

So, basically in November I found out I was pregnant and, after struggling with the decision myself, I reached out to my cousin for help on whether I should have an abortion or not. At this point, only my mom and sister knew about my pregnancy. Eventually I decided to keep the baby and thanked my cousin for helping me during my time of stress. A week later, my Aunt contacts my mom saying, “Congrats you’re going to be a grandmom!!” Confused, asks me if it’s okay to share the news now that my Aunt knows and I immediately text my cousin saying how disappointed I was that she told. Initially, she text me the above message saying she’s sorry, but then my aunt started calling me saying that “I’m starting drama” and her daughter is “SO trustworthy”. I picked up the phone and called my cousin and now she’s saying that I should’ve made it clear back then that I wanted to keep this private and should’ve specifically told her not to tell anyone.
I genuinely want to know if I’m overreacting/is my message unclear because my cousin and aunt are saying that I’m causing all of this drama in the family.
