she didn’t get the job
my partner has CPTSD and treatment resistant depression as a result of her trauma. she’s currently employed but her job is in person yet super isolating, at a desk in a room with no windows, and lately every day at work has led to a breakdown or panic attack of some sort. she applied to a new job that would be fully remote and it seemed really promising but she just got word that she didn’t get it. what this means is that she will be going on FMLA at her current job for probably at least a month or two in order to pursue healing and therapy and re regulate her system. it’s been a tough road for both of us. we were both very hopeful about this job, that she’d be able to seamlessly transition to a role that’s better for her mental health and pays more and she wouldn’t have to take leave. the whole time i knew we were hoping too hard and alas i was proven right. i’m comforting her but i was already feeling low and it’s just awful. awful awful vibes and energy in our home. we’re meant to go out with friends later but idk if that’s the best idea.
also, overlying all this is the fact that we get married in 2.5 months. so i’ll be marrying someone who cannot hold down a job at the moment due to her mental health. it’s fucking scary and im trying to remain positive that this is what’s right for me. but it’s so hard. we really needed this win but once again i’m reminded the universe is indifferent to our suffering. i just want to sleep for a week. our bachelorette is next weekend and i don’t feel like celebrating anything. i’m so, so sad.

 | When I was 4 years old, I got one of my first Pokemon card packs. In that pack, I got a Mareep card that looked a lot like this one. My next-door neighbor was a few years older than me and asked if I wanted to trade cards. Because I was a not-to-smart 4 year old I thought trades were temporary. I proceeded to trade my Mareep card for a Seedot. The next day I told my neighbor that I was done training and I wanted my original card back. They informed me that they had already traded it away to someone else. I was devastated. That card meant everything to a Pokemon-obsessed 4-year-old. My mother, being the saint that she is, went onto eBay (because TCG player didn't exist yet and my mom had no idea what an LGS was) and found the same Mareep card for me. She made sure I learned my lesson and understood to take care of the things I really loved. To this day, and through 2 moves across the country, this card has stayed with me. Today, I framed it to display proudly. When asked, I often say Wooper or Mega Blaziken is my favorite Pokemon. But Mareep will always have an important place in my heart. I love you Mom. (I want to credit the artist of the wallpaper I used as the background but I can't find the original artist. It has a watermark for adragonsden.com but that doesn't seem to exist anymore. Thanks for all the comments and advice on my post yesterday. I’m very happy with this purchase.
I got it for £75 today. And it’s in great condition. Minus the fact the date is not advancing. But I can get that fixed.
This Seiko automatic 7625-8041 Sportsmatic is on its original beads of rice bracelet.
It’s quite heavy and feels solid which I’m impressed about, considering this must be a mid 60’s manufacture. Not bad for a watch over 50 years old.
I’m yet to tinker with a leather strap but I can see this being apart of my rotation for a long time to come.

Ciao a tutti.
Non starò qua a raccontarvi la storia della mia vita quindi per farla breve: sono recentemente diventato proprietario di una palazzina, la quale è composta da diversi immobili in affitto.
Una della due entrate della palazzina, utile per andare nei posti auto, cantine ed accedere ad alcune abitazioni specifiche del condominio è "condivisa" con i proprietari di una casa che sorge accanto al mio complesso.
Sostanzialmente è una "corte" (di mia proprietà) dove i residenti della casa accanto possono passare tramite servitù di passaggio per parcheggiare le loro macchine/entrare in casa fino ad arrivare ad una porzione di loro proprietà che si affaccia sulla corte.
Il problema nasce qua. Queste persone hanno questa parte di proprietà non delimitata da un bel niente (no cancelli/muretti ecc) ed hanno una buca enorme dove hanno buttato una quantità di calcinacci non indifferente. Parliamo di una cosa tipo 4/5 metri quadri.
La mia domanda è, posso fare qualcosa?
Ora come ora non è un problema e me ne sbatterei anche, ma visivamente è un pugno in un occhio e quando dovrò mostrare le abitazioni per i prossimi contratti le persone dovranno per forza passare per quella zona, che sia per semplici visite ma anche nel futuro nel caso in cui decidessero di rimanere e capite bene che mostrare una cosa del genere non sia il massimo in quanto da proprio l'idea di "degrado".
Per parlare ci ho già parlato ma se ne fregano alla grande.
