2025.02.02 00:36 brewsky2018 Using 3rd party remotes from AliExpress
I acquired two different types of ONN compatible remotes from Ali Express to use a a second remote (for the wife) at the same time that an original remote is hooked up. One looks like the original remote for the ONN 4K model and the other is the UGOOS UR02 model. Both can be added as a remote but I am having trouble on a few different branded TVs (LG, Insignia, Changhong) to control the volume and power. When I use a remote from the ONN 4K model as a second remote on a ONN PRO, I do not have any issue controlling the tv. Did anyone have any luck with these acting as a full remote (in this manner) as a second remote on an ONN BOX?

I’m a 23 year old guy and my 28 year old coworker R is female. We have worked together for over a year now. For context we work at job that is temporary for both of us, and we’re both single. We’re friendly but not close, but we work fine as coworkers. We have a bit of a jokey dynamic but not flirty. Two weeks ago on Friday night we all got drunk together as a coworker group - 6 of us. R got rather drunk and progressively more touchy through the night. She first initiated dancing with me in a playful way to one song, which I enthusiastically grabbed her hands and danced to. Then she started by leaning on me then holding my hand under the guise of support or guidance, then rubbing my shoulder and even hair, talking to me closely and eventually leaning her head on my shoulder. I didn’t back away at all and I let her do these things, but didn’t initiate touch myself, aside from letting her hold my hand as letting go would be more obvious than just going along with it, for example. She also called me “the best” and “great.” She was so drunk she was leaning on me for support, and even almost didn’t get let into the last bar. I was admittedly more focused on her than the rest of the group, but some of our other coworkers were either occupied or less drunk and in less need for care. I made sure R’s purse was in sight and that she drank water. We were both kinda coupled off from the rest of the group, primarily with our heads close together, talking about ourselves and laughing and teasing each other the last hour of the night, but it was getting late at almost 2am. I suggested sharing an uber as a practical consideration considering we were both too drunk to drive (her especially), but she seemed to take that as a suggestion for intimacy. Or at least she seemed flirty as she rubbed my chest and said “what I would really like is for you to drive me home.” But I declined and said I’m too drunk to drive her. To be frank I am a touch starved guy so I enjoyed the interaction with her but didn’t want to take anything too far, considering her state, and the fact we are coworkers. We figured out we live on opposite sides of town. I wanted to make sure she was safe so I suggested she get a ride with one of our other coworkers then left. She texted me about 20 minutes after I left saying “hi! Didn’t catch you as you were leaving so just wanted to make sure you got home ok! Had fun tonight :)” and I replied 10 mins later saying “yes sorry, I did get home alright. Hope you got home safely as well. Super fun night!” She “liked” the message but didn’t reply after that. She would have still been very drunk but there weren’t any typos in her text so it’s possible she completely remembered the entire night, but it’s a toss up. a few days later at work was our first scheduled shift together. The awkwardness was palpable. I kept on stuttering or dropping things around her and we both had trouble making eye contact. She only communicated with me for necessary work things and seemed noticeably aloof. She seemed a bit more competent and confident at work that day, and even was a bit dismissive and completely ignored some of my usual banter or small talk. We both appeared uncomfortable to be in the same room as each other. I was a little afraid to do anything wrong, and felt like I was tiptoeing around her. I even tried to ask her to do an unnecessary task at one point so she wouldn’t have to be in the same room as me, which she declined to do. She didn’t seem mad at me but just tense and aloof, her voice still seemed soft and kind, but in a perfunctory way. Neither of us brought up the drunken night. The worst part was she was absolutely normal with all our other coworkers, even those we went out with. She even laughed and talked about some of the events from the night with them, but pretended like what happened between us didn’t exist. So her aloofness was limited to her interactions with me that shift. Our group was supposed to go out a second time the following weekend, but this time she now only let out a noncommittal grunt, despite previous interest in going out a second time with the group. Another coworker joked that they went a little too hard the past weekend, but R did not react to this comment. It’s like she was trying to pretend she wasn’t even there or nothing happened.
I heard later on R did show up to the second outing and had fun with a few of our coworkers but I preemptively avoided attending. We had another shift scheduled this past week but I had to call off sick, so we haven’t seen each other in 10 days now. R has not texted me or tried to get in contact with me, but then again, neither have I, and we normally don’t contact each other outside of work. She’s just continued going to work as normal in spite of my absence. How do you interpret everything? Was she just drunk or was there more to it? I will say Im not head over heels for her or anything but I am a guy, and would be open to something with her if she was truly interested.
