Hey, I have made a reservation in a Courtyard Milano with a prepay rate. My CC was supposed to be charged within 24 hours, or the booking cancelled (which was over 2 weeks ago), but they never even made an attempt. I can still see the reservation in my app. I am really worried they'll cancel it on the day I land. Did you ever have that happen to you before? Should I just call the hotel?

First week nothing, second week slightly better but nothing really noticeable, third week I was the happiest I’ve been in years, confident and outgoing, genuinely excited to live life and stopped caring about all the stupid little things that used to bother me. Now that’s wore off and in week 4 i feel very flat again like I did before, not really experiencing any pleasure or happiness at all. Experiences? Will the happiness return? I truly loved life for that week it was amazing

Basicamente la pregunta, vivo en provincia y el vendedor tiene el auto en capital. Segun cambios post Septiembre con las nuevas medidas se pueden hacer tramites en cualquier registro pero prefiero consultar.

22M, South Asian. Diagnosed with bipolar, ocd, social/generalized anxiety. Meds are seroquel, lithium, and pregabalin. The accident happened in Canada.
Got into an accident, had a seat belt injury and a mild TBI. EMS let me go home on scene.
Next day I have vomiting and nausea, I just chalked this up to the concussion. Then I had diarrhea, so I took Imodium to stop it. At that point, I developed a strong headache and took Tylenol 3 (including cleaned). I went to sleep just right but woke up in the middle of the night with the worst abdominal pain in my life. I could not move or scream for 15-30 minutes. Then I was taken to the ER.
They did a full CBC, head/neck/abdominal CT with contrast, and chest x ray. Everything was normal except for elevated pancreatic enzymes (both amylase and lipase) and there was fluid buildup in my pelvis. Paracentesis was done and the pain subsided. Repeat CT found fluid to still be there, but since there were no symptoms, I was sent home to follow up with my family doctor.
The ER doc told me pelvic fluid buildup was confusing in males and he didn’t know what to make of it. My stomach looks bloated still and over the 4 days since the accident occurred, my abdominal circumference has increased several centimeters (I don’t think weight gain would be this quick).
I was just wondering what the heck any of this meant. I am a med student so I have some (some) knowledge of mechanisms and pathways. But I just need to know what the heck is going on and why I (a male) am having fluid buildup in my pelvis.

2024.11.25 00:20 sjjs3189 Heating costs significantly more than cooling?
I have a central ac system, so I use it for heating and cooling. I moved in to this place in June, so I haven't had to use the heating yet until now. In the height of summer, my electric bill was just over $100, which I didn't think was bad. We've had two days of cooler weather so I've put the heat on and I checked my electric app and it's clocking triple the amount of usage than I used on the hottest days! A month of this would bring me to well over 200, almost 300 dollars! It's the same system being used. And I don't think there's a bad draft because it cools it down in summer reasonably well. Is there a reason my ac would be using so much more energy to heat my place? I don't understand! Where I lived before, the heat drew the same amount of energy as cooling, so my bills weren't much different in summewinter. What's going on?
