Hey everyone, I wanted to share my story and ask for your advice. Last August, I started experiencing brain fog, which would come and go. At first, it only happened a few times, but after taking doxycycline for an infection, the brain fog became constant and debilitating. I also experienced very bad psychotic side effects from the doxycycline, which led to multiple ER visits and a significant impact on my daily life.
My period has become unbearable, exacerbating my depression and anxiety (which I never had in the past). I've never had any genetic predisposition to anxiety or depression (that I know about, I asked my mom and she said that no one in my family suffers from any mental health condition), but I've experienced two traumatic events in my life (toxic relationship with an narcissist and harassment from the landlord, I was renting in a room at his house in New York) that have likely contributed to my current mental health struggles (probably I’m traumatized by those situations in my life and I didn’t know about it until now that my brain is acting a little funny). Now, at 25, I'm dealing with constant anxiety, constant intrusive thoughts, brain fog, and little depression(I don’t know what to call it because I only feel apathetic and I’m not happy 100%) that's affecting my relationships, I have to quit my job because the brain fog didn’t help me), and overall well-being.
I spoke with my doctor yesterday through my chart, and I mentioned starting Prozac (fluoxetine) to help manage my depression and anxiety. I mentioned about having Klonopin (clonazepam) on hand in case of emergency, such as a panic attack or psychotic episode from Prozac. However, I'm nervous about the potential side effects of Prozac, especially psychotic episodes, increased anxiety, intrusive thoughts, mental state, or addiction from Klonopin.
My husband's family has experience with Prozac and they are doing great in life. My husband tried Prozac and Klonopin he mentioned that he changed his life for better 100% the only problem he did have was getting off of the Klonopin (which I didn’t know why he was taking Klonopin because he never got any crazy side effects from Prozac), my husband‘s family they've offered their support and guidance. They told me that they gonna be there for me on every step of the way they feel bad for me that I’m going through this situation specially because it’s not easy for woman’s because it’s really hard to deal with it, especially when we are in our period.
I'm grateful for their understanding, but I'm still anxious about starting these medications and potentially experiencing side effects.
Has anyone else experienced similar situations or traumas that made them afraid to take medication? (I’m asking because I have a really bad experience with doxycycline which 100% created a trauma for me)
How did you cope with the side effects? If you did have.
What medications have helped you? To deal with those side effects from Prozac.
What were your experiences with Prozac and Klonopin and how did you got off Klonopin? If you did try Klonopin.
I'm looking for advice, reassurance, and support as I start this new journey. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

2024.11.26 15:20 NoviceAxeMan Delay relay switch
My HVAC unit was having problems and had a tech come out to troubleshoot/repair. Tech saw that my delay relay switch (name?) was blown which was causing the issues so they ran a bypass on it to keep my unit running while the new part was being ordered and its run fine ever since. My question is do I need this part installed?
They’re asking around $270 to install it plus it’s been about 2 months since they ordered it. I’m pretty savvy with wiring but not an electrician by any means typically if i can install and buy the part from the supplier myself i’ll do it to save me some money.

I'll be taking my M2 ssd & fans from my old PC to this new one. I already got the 9800X3D at MSRP. The spot where I am most uncertain is whether to stick with the 7900 GRE or upgrade to a 7900XT. This build is purely for gaming at 1440p.
Right now with the sales on the 7900XT (looking at this one on newegg here for $625), it is only $95 more than the 7900 GRE here for $530. At that price difference I feel like I have to take the upgrade to the 7900XT. Although, if the 7900 GRE were to go on sale this week and dip below $500 then I think I'd rather save the money and take the 7900 GRE. Any thoughts on which way to go? Will there be any sales for the 7900 GRE?

So had an appointment scheduled for today at 2:30pm. First phone call was at 2:29pm and rang twice I picked up said hello and the call went down. Second phone call at 2:32pm rang only once no human could have possibly answered it so now it goes down as a 'missed call'. Rang the number for an automated voice to say we tried contacting you but you missed our call. For context I'm sat there staring at my phone ready for the call haha.
Any advice to this I'm incredibly fuming, stressed, anxious, sad and everything all in one. It's supposed to be MAXIMUS or whatever they're called.

I got my belly button piercing done abt a month ago and for the first like 3 weeks it had pus and was swollen and itchy. I’ve just been cleaning my piercing by putting saline solution on a cotton swab rubbing it on the piercing.
Last night I was hanging out with my best friend (we got our navel piercings done together) when I asked her what she did to clean her piercing cuz apparently she didn’t have a problem with pus. She told me that she sprayed the saline solution straight onto the piercing, dried it, and then put some tea tree oil on it. I read on a few websites that you’re not supposed to put tea tree oil on a piercing since it could hinder the healing process. But I tried it last night anyways because I was getting desperate and didn’t want the infection to spread.
Woke up this morning and the swelling had subsided, I squeezed the piercing and little to no pus came out, and it just looked way better overall. Now I’m confused as to what to do. Should I continue using tea tree oil because this seems to be working on the surface? Is this actually hindering the piercing’s healing process? I’ve been using tea tree oil my whole life, so maybe my body is used to healing alongside it. I need advice on whether to continue using the tea tree oil.

I don’t particularly want to own guns, but I believe that I need to have a couple to defend my home, well... should things get out of hand. I would like to get a shotgun and a handgun and a safe to keep them both locked where only I can access. I have taken exactly one handgun class in my life and know very basically how to shoot and load/unload a pistol. I have never even held a shotgun. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
