Hallo zusammen, vielleicht kann mir ja hier jemand weiterhelfen. ich bin studierter Architekt. (top 2 Prozent meines Jahrgangs an meiner Hochschule/ kein flex sondern lediglich ein Hinweis, falls das bei der Gehaltsfrage interessant sein sollte). Habe nach dem Studium 1 Jahr bei einem Architekten gearbeitet, jedoch schnell gemerkt, dass ausgührungspläne am PC zeichnen nichts für mich ist. Habe nun eine Stelle als „Junior Bauleiter“ angetreten. Gehaltsverhandlungen habe ich aufgrund meines Verdienst beim Architekten sehr niedrig angesetzt. ( hatte ja nur dieses Gehalt zu dem Zeitpunkt als Referenz). Mein Gehalt beträgt nun 41k. Was für einen Junior Bauleiter der eher einem Bauleiter unterstützend zur Seite steht i.O ist. (just my opinion). Jetzt ist es jedoch so, dass meine Vorgesetzter mich wie einen normalen Bauleiter bzw sogar Projektleiter sieht. Ich hatte eigentlich keine einarbeitungszeit, sondern mir wurde direkt die komplette Verantwortung für ein Projekt +3 mio. gegeben. Obwohl dies anders kommuniziert wurde. Wie würdet Ihr damit umgehen? Ich traue mir das Projekt zu und habe damit eigentlich weniger Probleme. Probleme habe ich jedoch schon sehr stark mit dem Gehalt in Relation zur Arbeitszeit und extremer Verantwortung. Wie würdet ihr nun handeln? Zur Info; bin noch in der Probezeit….bin ziemlich am hadern und freue mich über jegliche gedanken.

My husband and I are moving from Sydney to America in 2025. I work at an Australian company that said they would be happy to pay me for remote contract work (maybe 5-10 hours per week) while I live in the US. Is this possible to do? Will this breach laws with taxes?? Has anyone done this and what was your experience?

2024.11.26 20:30 angel9580 I hate my allbirds. Are Vessi’s the next best waterproof shoe?
I bought my Allbird wool mizzles years back because everyone raved about them and their waterproofing. I’ve had them for years and have worn them probably sub 20 times. Why? They are so uncomfortable. They are so stiff and always give me blisters at the back of my heel/ankle.
I need a new waterproof shoe and the only ones I’ve seen advertised often are Vessi’s. Are these my next option?
I am looking for a shoe that isn’t as stiff as the Allbirds - definitely something that feels more like a running shoe with flexible fabric. Not sure if only specific styles of Vessi’s have that, but I’m open to recommendations. I’m also open to the flat white ones (similar to vans/adidas)c but curious on how stiff they are and if they will cause blisters.

i've seen ALOT of love for kholby, let me explain why i don't think you should support him!!
Kholby commented on TikTok (if I’m remembering correctly, it was on Yannick’s Save Ricky Potts TikTok), claiming that Yannick wasn’t fired because they threw up blood but because they broke union rules or were lying about why they were fired.
Fast forward 2.5 years later, those ableist comments resurface, shared by oa member of the community, who pushes Kholby to finally apologize. Kholby gives a half-hearted apology, deflecting accountability and instead thanking his toxic defenders for blindly supporting him.
For context: Yannick played Ricky in the 2022 McCarter Theatre production. He was the first disabled actor ever to portray Ricky but was fired by the company after leaving the stage during "Sugar Cloud" to throw up blood, a symptom of his condition.
Kholby’s comments essentially a) defended the ableist script and b) invalidated Yannick’s experience. When disabled people didn’t accept his weak apology/corrected him, Kholby blocked many of them to ignore them.
