I am new to IFS but have done a couple self lead sessions and read two books. I am curious about how folks have dealt with the idea that - the self can be protective? is it always just a peaceful love center? i feel at my core i cannot let go of the anger covering the self because of my current needs. anyone else dealt with this and have insight?
I would like to not be angry, but i am currently stuck in a situation I cannot leave where i am consistently verbally abused. I did a lot of different things to try and deal with that whole situation, but the thing that helped me was fighting back. I turn around and never stop letting them hear the end of it until they leave me alone.
Because i am protecting myself and my time, my creative part has stopped being blocked - feeling safe to reclaim my own desires and sees our creative goals as a way out. Is anger always bad? should i be trying to deal with it - if i cant leave this abusive situation? Or is this just a part i should thank and move on to other things until this has been resolved?

I just noticed today that ECLIPSEDWING exploits MS08-067 (source), perhaps most well-known as the Conficker vulnerability. Do we have any idea when this tool was first created? Was it confirmed to be known to the NSA and used as a zero-day prior to the update and bulletin in October 2008?
I see in the XML that version 1.5.2, the one published in the leak, mentions XP service pack 3, which means it was updated to that version in April 2008 at the earliest. Is this the only version that is known publicly?
