Recently experienced getting back in touch with someone I used to see. He has a partner but said I was the right person, it was just the wrong time and he has been thinking about me a lot. He also keeps asking me if I would like him to get in touch if his situation changes. A whole lot of mixed feelings, so I’m interested in any thoughts to the above Q.

In an attempt to repair the relationship with my dad, the following situation came up:
When I was 3 or 4 years old, I really wanted a toy. Apparently, I already had the toy at home so my parents said no. I cried the entire way home. At home, I still would not stop crying. In response, my dad picked me up by my legs and held me upside down over the toilet seat. It's unclear if he shook me or for how long I was held upside down, but I don't think it was very long. I stopped crying at that point.
When I ask him now, decades later, why he thought holding me upside down over the toilet would get me to stop crying, he said because it would have made me afraid.
I raise this because I am really working on getting acknowledgement from him. I just do not fully understand what to make of this situation.

My partner, who i dearly loved, said if I can’t comply to his rules about dressing up and being careful on what to wear, we should stop wasting our time on dating each other.
My heart broke because I love him. We made each other upset last weekend. 1. His constant criticisms 2. he thinks I dress too revealingly. Context: I was born and living in a tropical country, he came from the west. I like to wear dress. It wasn’t that revealing but he’s tall, he said he could see the top of my chest and it made him upset. He just wanted to protect me.
I don’t wear too sexy clothes. But i do like wearing dress, skirts, and sometimes fitting clothes. It makes me feel more confident in my shape. Normally, I wouldn’t tolerate this comment but I remember he has this condition and I should understand him if i wanted the relationship to work out.
I want to know the opinion of both non-ocpd partners and ocpd-ers on how can this relationship work for the both of us. Also, i am not a native english speaker so I am careful on what words to say to him when I need to point out my issues.

I’m so exhausted.. it’s a battle to feed my baby he is exclusively formula fed. From past couple weeks he doesn’t empty his bottle while awake. He just drinks 10-20ml and starts playing and refuses the bottle and I wait till he falls asleep so he can drink the rest.
Is it a matter of concern or is it just a growing phase.

TLDR: mouth guard swells my upper lip every night despite cleaning it thoroughly. Is there anything I can do?
I first got my Medusa pierced around 2020... I never had any issues with it until I switched to a shorter gauge (I think 14 inches) a year later, and after a few weeks of having the shorter gauge, it swelled up so bad I had to see a doctor. I went back to my original piercer and he said it was because of the shorter gauge. I ended up just having it taken out because it kept swelling and I wasn't sure what the issue was. Mind you I was wearing and cleaning my mouth guard every night. (probably not properly, but still).
This year, I decided I missed it and tried it again because I never had any issues with mouth guard/medusa at a 16 gauge. I went to a different piercer and she said it was normal to downgrade the gauge after it had healed a few weeks and swelling went down. By now it's definitely healed but without fail, EVERY NIGHT my mouth guard swells up my upper lip. It goes down once I've taken it off and during the day so maybe it's not a big deal, but I'm worried to switch it back to a 14 gauge in case the swelling goes bad again. I have been taking precautions everyday - boiling my mouth guard, which seems to help a little, and then using a mouth retainer cleaner after, but it still gets pissed.
Is there anything I can do differently?
