If you're being told to sacrifice something (time, place, money, or an object) so that someone else benefits while you're left screwed and you're questioning AITA? No, you're probably fucking not.
Post after post OPs are called "selfish," told to "keep the peace," or reminded that "family comes first" and that "you're doing better than so-and-so, and they need it more." If you're being asked to give something up because it's "an emergency"—when, in reality, it’s the result of the other person's lifelong string of bad decisions—fuck 'em, put yourself first. Like when someone wants a dream wedding but spends every dime they have on stupid shit, or you're asked to change your plans to constantly babysit for someone who was clearly unprepared to be a parent, or they want to borrow something but they have a history of not returning shit, or they're just assholes.
As someone who, until recently, put others ahead of themselves with little to no appreciation or gratitude in return, there comes a time when you have to tell people to fuck off. If they only show up when they need something but never check in on you otherwise, they’re not really family or friends—they’re leeches.
Life is shorter than we think and dreams, goals, hobbies get pushed further and further back until we checkout. I'm not dying, as far as I know, but I realized I want as many things on my bucket list checked off before I go. So, I decided I'm not going to let other people's indiscretions get in the way of that anymore.

2025.01.29 21:39 Educational-Cup9267 The best Scav run (almost)
Started as your typical run, spawned near military camp in Dam with a Fal and some basic stuff. Running around looting green boxes and come across 3 grenades so I toss em in the bag and keep moving. As I'm coming upon the inlet towers, I start taking fire from the top and duck under cover, wondering who is shooting me so early in my run. I look up to see the tippy top of a helmet peeking over the ledge near the locked door, so I start tossing grenades up top (amazing throws by the way) and all footsteps stop happening. Make my way up and come across two dead bodies, geared to the teeth with top tier weapons, armor, and hypertech bags stuffed full of valuable loot, meds, food, drinks, etc. Takes me about a minutes to organize myself, and suddenly I'm carrying 70 kgs worth of gear, quite the upgrade from what I just spawned in with. Make it across to the dam bridge and....catch a ton of rounds from a player walking across. Everything I'd just found, gone. Not even upset, but damn that would've been an incredible scav run.

My furry friend, a two-year-old doggo, is full of energy and still has a big appetite. (Eats raw diet) He drinks water without any issues. About 12 hours ago, he started limping. We thought he might have hurt his ankle when he jumped the wrong way. Since yesterday, we’ve been giving him bone and joint vitamins. We’ve also iced the affected area, and now he’s just resting. He occasionally puts his foot down when he pees or remembers the pain when I squeeze it. He gets a bit uncomfortable, but the rest of his leg is completely fine. If we don’t touch it, he’s completely unbothered by it. — Again if we start playing with him he still has full energy / drinks + eats fine.
Thoughts?

My coworker, boyfriend and I all play (and have a small rivalry going) but none of us were able to see anything... It's literally a white screen when you click on the icon. I have an interview as a biomedical assistant band 3 in Glasgow’s biggest hospital and I feel out my depth and need help for the interview. I have an accredited degree in biomedical science and a masters in Haematogly both from England. I had an interview as a TOA in pharmacy that I didn’t get in Scotland because I wasn’t really pharmacy qualified and I apparently didn’t give them ‘that little bit more’ in the interview. None of the questions really threw me off but I feel like I answered them too directly and didn’t weave in more of the skills knowledge and experience they wanted. I really need this job and any help would be appreciated. I have looked over the Values, JD and PS and separated the skills experience and knowledge into my education and university lab experience, my work experience as a nursery practitioner, my work experience as a field marketer, and my work experience as a plumbing assistant in regards to where each skill knowledge and experience would fit into each the best. I can’t predict what they will ask and I’m not sure how to incorporate enough of the skills knowledge and experience into possible answers. Any help would be great
