I escalated my case against a University in Wales to the OIA, the OIA claimed that the case is eligible, sent an email to University asking for lots of things, including ANY internal emails and memos of meetings related to my case, but the University only chose to disclose a few emails covering only the first stage of my complaint and nothing else. After that, the OIA decided the case will go for their review and the case was assigned to a senior case handler, which made me believe the OIA is taking it seriously...
Well, I couldn't be more wrong about that. I had to ask the University to comply with the OIA request and provide the rest of the emails and memos of meeting, the OIA only forwarded them my email, the University refused to comply and the OIA took no action (I believed that the OIA would take this as a red flag, but I was wrong again).
After like 3 months of waiting with no follow up from the OIA, the senior case handler sent me the outcome of my complaint, where she not only red half of my submission (due to larger white space), she fabricated claims that I never made [i.e. I allegedly repeatedly raised a point that sanctions were applied a day earlier], cherry picked evidence, and altered the reality [i.e. in one paragraph claims that the legally binding agreement stated 10 days, in the next paragraph claims 5 days], and so on...
I sent the senior case handler an email where I asked a few questions that were fundamental to the outcome, i.e. I asked her for a reference where I raised a claim that sanctions were applied a day earlier, why she didn't follow on the University non-compliance (despite sending me previously a link to their own procedures for University non-compliance), and on what legal basis a legally binding agreement can be altered without noticed (as she admitted in her ruling). I think these are perfectly reasonable questions that decided the outcome of my complaint... but the OIA is refusing to answer any of my questions quoting their "behaviour" policy and claiming that my questions are "unreasonable demand."
So what was even point of going to the OIA if they can alter the narratives, fabricate claims and asking a few basic questions is "unreasonable demand" that shields them from any responsibility or accountability? Wasn't this supposed to be based on fairness and transparency or something?

Sinds enkele maanden ben ik bezig met maandelijks een deel van mijn loon in ETF's te investeren.
Nu wil ik in mijn vrije tijd graag bijleren over traden op kortere termijn (kopen/verkopen in enkele uren of enkele dagen).
Wanneer ik op verschillende plaatsen opzoek/rondvraag hoe dit werkt met belastingen op winst, krijg ik telkens een ander antwoord te horen.
Reeds gekregen antwoorden:
1) Zo lang het bij kleine bedragen blijft, betaal je hier niets op.
2) Je betaalt 33% op winst op korte termijn.
3) Je betaalt 50% op winst.
4) In België is er geen duidelijke regelgeving, niet aan starten.
Ik ga er niet echt van uit dat ik de eerste maanden echt winst zal maken, maar ik zou toch graag weten hoe dit zou werken naar de toekomst toe.
Iemand die me wat meer uitleg kan geven?

Jetzt frage ich mich, ob meine Erlebnisse dort “normal” sind. Es fühlt sich manchmal echt hart an: • Die Kunden sind oft ziemlich unfreundlich, manchmal sogar richtig gemein. • Es herrscht fast durchgehend Stress, Deadlines jagen einen ständig. • Und dann kommt noch die Überwachung dazu – es wird genau geschaut, ob ich genug “Umsatz” am Tag mache.
Die Kollegen sind supernett, das muss ich sagen. Und ich merke, dass ich hier wohl mehr lernen werde als in der internen IT. Aber ich frage mich trotzdem: Ist das bei allen IT-Dienstleistern so? Oder habe ich einfach Pech gehabt?
