Disclaimer: Sorry if there are any spelling problems or grammar mistakes.
I have had a microsoft surface pro 6 for a few years now, and im encountering an issue regarding the touchscreen. The top of the touchscreen, around the area where the google search bar comes in, has stopped registering any inputs. The rest of the touchscreen works completely fine and i have tried reinstalling the drivers and it didnt help at all. I have tried searching up my problem but everyone either has a touchscreen that just doesnt work entierely or works just fine and now I dont know what to do.
Hopefully someone is able to help me as soon as possible! Thanks in advance everyone.

2025.01.18 11:00 StupidSeaPigeon Carpet beetles in empty apartment
Moved into a relatively old apartment few weeks ago. On the day I moved in, as well as every 3-4 days since, I have been finding an adult carpet beetle around the windows or on a random wall. I can never find any larvae, even though I have horrible anxiety around pests and have looked literally everywhere with a flashlight. I also have not found any trace in the walk-in closet, where I keep all my clothes. I do not have a carpet right now and don't plan on getting one until I feel like I have this issue under control.
How common is it to only find a few adult beetles every now and then? The apartment was completely empty except for a built-in walk-in closet, so I am guessing that whatever fabric the main breeding ground was, the previous owners took with them. I had this previously in a student dorm as well, where I would only find adult ones every now and then, but I probably didn't look as hard as I have now because it was a rental and I had less anxiety back then.
I have started to vacuum every day and ordered everything the pest control suggested (10 sticky traps to distribute around flat and see where they live/enter from, an (allegedly) effective insecticide spray for along the baseboards, windows and in cracks/crevices, as well as red cedar cubes to put inside the wardrobe. I also know of DE, but I guess the DE goes in the same places as the insecticide spray, so it wouldn't be effective to have both at the same time.

Hello! My roommate and I adopted a cat who has been with us for 3 months. She’s fabulous and settling in really well. However, I wonder all the time if she’s bored being the only cat in the house. She spends an entirely ridiculous amount of time just staring at her auto-feeder, and is food motivated to the point of us needing to lock her in another room when we cook/eat. She also does the typical cat yowling at night and I wonder if she’s bored or lonely while we’re asleep. She plays and eats well, and has had no issues with the litterbox (which I’ve read are all signs of a happy single cat).
The issue is that we have some outdoor cats in the neighborhood (she’s completely indoor) and she hisses and her tail gets fluffy and she tries to attack them through the porch door when she sees them. Everything I’ve seen online says this is a sign she wouldn’t do well with a friend, but I do wonder if she’d do okay with a slow introduction to another cat.
Any advice from experienced owners would be welcome!
