When we use < 's > for has or is, this represents a contraction in the pronunciation.Instead of saying has or is as a separate word with its own vowel, we reduce the word to just /s/. Some people do have an informal contraction this’s, with a much reduced or non-existent vowel in the second syllable, contrasting with a more formal this is with a full vowel in the second syllable. You say “This is an apple.” while gestering with the hand to indicate what this refers to. Using it means you have already established a subject and can repeat it. E.g. you might continue with “It is good for you.”. I am from India and not a native English speaker. I do often hear people introducing themselves like "Hello everyone; This is James" Is it an acceptable form in native English? I have encountered the phrase "due diligence" in the business world. The usage examples I have seen (mostly emails) cannot exactly be considered grammatical canon. I looked at a bunch of style guides to see what they have to say on this subject. The vast majority of them dedicate at least a paragraph to the distinction (or nondistinction) between "in behalf of" and "on behalf of"—but not one addresses the question of how to handle "on behalf of" when used by a speaker to refer to another person and to him- or herself. 2025.01.19 16:30 Permission__Denied Still no heating after flushing the core
I really don't want to have to replace the heater core, but if I must then I must, but I hoping some people a lot smarter then me can help before I tear my car down, this time for the inside!
I have a 2001 Celica 190 with electronic AC controls (UK model) and currently have no heating, so far I have done the following;
- Flushed the heater core - previously the outlet coolant hose was cold but now both are warm
- Bled the coolant system twice - currently no overheating and temp gauge/sensor are showing normal operating temp 85-95C
- Ran cheap ODB diagnostic - nothing shows
- Ran electronic sensor check - press auto and recirculation button while switching ignition to ON - error code 21 which is supposedly sunlight sensor and as I do t use climate control/auto I'm not overly fussed
- Checked actuators - both are actuating
- Tested fans on all positions - looks good, plenty of ari flow
- No loss of coolant... So far - rebuilt engine after head gasket failure last year
- This model, to my knowledge and research, doesn't have a heater valve but happy to be proven wrong
I noticed however now that I get a small blast of heat when I turn the fans on initially and then it blows cold again (while engine is warm) leave it a good minute with the fans off and it does the same again when you turn the blower back on again.
Is there anything I am missing or could try?

I’ve done plenty of OMAD and 30-35 hours but never this long. Thanks to this group I’m fully equipped with electrolytes and magnesium if needed! I have 2 very young kids so if I’m struggling and it’s affecting them I’ll stop ofc but I hope I can do it!

Hi I’m overlooking my blood test results and trying to understand what they mean. I have an endoscopy + colonoscopy already scheduled so I believe they want me to keep eating gluten in the meantime but it’s from my understanding that my blood tests confirm my celiac anyways, along with a plethora of horrible symptoms.
