However, in the process, Nariyoshi’s father is gravely injured. The Toguchi family’s gratitude is immense, and they take the Miyagis to their next-door doctor, Yukie, who becomes an important part of their lives. As Sato and Nariyoshi heal from the ordeal, the tension between the two families grows, as Sato’s father begins to favor Nariyoshi over his own son due to the life-saving act. This favoring fosters resentment in Sato, but it also sparks his desire to learn the art of karate from Nariyoshi’s father.
As Nariyoshi and Sato grow into teenagers, their rivalry intensifies. Sato begs Nariyoshi to persuade his father to train the two together. Meanwhile, Nariyoshi’s deepening feelings for Yukie complicate matters further. Sato’s family and Yukie’s grow closer after the robbery incident, and an arranged marriage between Sato and Yukie is discussed. Despite Sato’s intense jealousy over Nariyoshi’s relationship with his father and his growing feelings for Yukie, the trio of Nariyoshi, Sato, and Yukie forge a strong friendship. However, Nariyoshi and Yukie’s unspoken love begins to develop, creating a tension that slowly tears apart the once unshakable friendship. When Nariyoshi makes a bold confession of his love for Yukie and asks her to marry him, the final straw snaps in Sato’s heart. Consumed by betrayal and jealousy, Sato challenges Nariyoshi to a fight to the death, with all the anger and hurt of years bubbling to the surface.
Nariyoshi, unable to bear fighting his best friend, leaves Okinawa under the cover of night. With a heavy heart, he emigrates to the United States, carrying the weight of his love for Yukie, his shattered friendship with Sato, and his deepening martial arts skills. The boy who had once learned patience in the waters of Okinawa now finds himself adrift in a new, fast-paced world. The season ends with Nariyoshi boarding a ship to Hawaii.
Season 2: Now in Hawaii as a young man, Nariyoshi, now works as a laborer in the sugar cane fields. He meets and falls in love with a fellow laborer, a gentle woman named Asuka, and they begin a quiet, hopeful life together. This season shows the young Miyagi attempting to live a peaceful life, healing from his past, and finding solace in his work. However, the tension of World War II begins to loom large. In 1941, Pearl Harbor is attacked, and Miyagi finds himself caught in the grip of anti-Japanese sentiment. Initially hesitant to enlist and fight against his homeland, Miyagi is later drafted and joins the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, known as the “Go For Broke” unit. Despite his reservations he wants to protect the country he and wife call home.
In the heat of battle during the brutal European campaigns, Miyagi’s resolve is tested. The horrors of war are juxtaposed against his previous life, and his pain from the loss of his family resurfaces. He forms a deep bond with his commanding officer, Lt. Jack Pierce, who recognizes Miyagi’s inner strength and teaches him how to adapt his martial skills to both combat and leadership. Amid the chaos of war, Miyagi teaches Lt. Pierce the fundamentals of karate, and Pierce teaches Miyagi to appreciate the importance of American dance, hoping to bridge the cultural gap between them.
Miyagi’s life takes an even darker turn when, during his time in combat, he receives word that his wife, Asuka, has passed away during childbirth. With no medical assistance available at the internment camp, she dies tragically from complications. This loss breaks Miyagi, and his emotional turmoil spills into his combat life. He becomes a force of destruction on the battlefield, but, at the same time, a shadow of the man he once was. While serving in the 442nd, Miyagi earns the Medal of Honor for his bravery. But he returns home to an America that doesn’t know how to view him. As he’s discharged, the tragedy of his personal life leads him into a spiraling loneliness
Season 3: In an effort to release his pent-up grief, Nariyoshi enters the Sekai Taikai martial arts tournament. His victories in the tournament bring him fame, but his encounter with an American fighter named Claramunt leads to tragedy. In an intense match, Nariyoshi accidentally kills Claramunt in a fit of rage. This incident leaves him emotionally fractured and questioning his purpose in life.
Still struggling with the trauma of war, Nariyoshi enters a new chapter of his life by becoming a silent partner in a boxing gym. Here, he forms a deep bond with the gym owner, a man named Ed, who becomes his closest friend. Ed and Nariyoshi become partners in running the gym, and Nariyoshi slowly finds peace in this new chapter of his life. However, financial trouble strikes, and desperate, Nariyoshi commits a crime, stealing a valuable necklace to keep the gym afloat. The guilt catches up with him, and with no other choice, Ed helps Nariyoshi flee the country, giving him a fake passport and the resources to escape. Nariyoshi leaves behind the man who saved him, yet with a sense of closure, knowing his friend will be safe.
Nariyoshi adopts the name “Keisuke Miyagi” and begins his global journey. He travels through Japan, China, and various parts of Southeast Asia, refining his skills and attempting to find inner peace. It is through his travels that he learns about the broader world and deepens his understanding of martial arts. Eventually, he returns to America when the heat from his past has faded and begins a new life as a maintenance man in Los Angeles.
Season 4: Now in Los Angeles, Keisuke Miyagi takes on the humble role of a maintenance worker at an apartment complex. He begins building his iconic garden, which serves as his quiet sanctuary. The garden becomes an emblem of his internal growth, a place where he nurtures not just the earth, but his own soul. His collection of classic cars—his great passion—gives him an outlet to connect to the past and continue his quiet life of restoration.
Miyagi has built a peaceful life for himself. He has found peace in his solitude, yet a part of him remains haunted by the family he lost and the love he left behind. His garden, now in full bloom, represents the internal peace he has found, yet the ghosts of his past—Sato, Yukie, his wife, and his son—still linger in his heart. The season ends with Miyagi’s fateful meeting with Daniel LaRusso.

 | Hes a male 4yr old American Statffy named Hardy. (not fixed) but is BY far the best dog my fiance & I have ever owned. I rescued him as a puppy from the tent city downtown & he is so well behaved it is unbelievable. He will NOT go to the bathroom in the house unless he is obviously left for more than 12 hrs & he does not bark or show any type of aggression to other humans... That being said he doesnt get along to well with other male dogs. My fiance & I moved to another province & we originally have left him with my sister in law however she is not taking care of him whatsoever -leaving him locked in her basement for hours/days in end). It wont be for a long time. Most we are looking for is a month at max. We will obviously compensate you greatly & you have now idea how much ill 3 of us would appreciate it. I am just not willing to give the guy up cause he is the best dog we have ever owned. If anyone would be willing to help please DM me we could use the help ASAP as SIL is saying she will give him to the pound in a few days. I have reset the height map several times, cleaned the bed with alcohol, generated new gcode- it is all coming out exactly the same. Any ideas of what is going on? For context, this is in an [[Indoraptor]] EDH deck. I cast [[Feign Death]] on Indoraptor, then cast [[Rupture]] targeting it.
I'm unclear about this because of how Rupture is worded, because the sacrifice isn't explicitly stated to be part of the cost to cast Rupture. It seems to say that sacrificing the creature happens as part of the resolution, so death triggers wouldn't go on the stack before everything takes damage.
So, Rupture would resolve, Indoraptor gets sacrificed, everything takes damage, and then the Feign Death trigger would go on the stack. Right?
