2025.01.20 17:51 ramm2000 Software Update came with a surprise!
Software update said about bugfixes and optimizations... the usual stuff.... But it came with a few super cool functions. 1) It shows real sensor altitude on screen. As I see it only works up to 3 meters but still this is an amazing tool to make flying safer. For example you can raise to the top of the roof and need to look at antenna or something - now you see real distance that drone sees under it. This is so COOL!!!! Whoever made this - THANK you! Documentation says that altitude sensor can see up to 10 meters. I can imagine that after 3 meters sensor reading is shaky and not too reliable but I would also like that to be seen maybe in another color. Anyway! this was super cool surprise.
2) now RC signal meter changes color depending on signal strenght too. Small thing but very much appriciable.

I’m trying to figure out a way to add options to a spinner dropdown menu via a user’s input.
I already have the spinner and input box set up, as well as all necessary buttons. However, the usual “.append” trick doesn’t work here because Python tells me Spinner doesn’t have that option.
I also tried putting the list for the spinner itself in a separate piece of code in the .py file that would be referenced from the .kv file code for the spinner (“values”), but that didn’t seem to work.
I’ll try to post the actual code later for better context, if that helps. I don’t have it with me atm.
But maybe if you get what I’m trying to say, you can help. 😅
I’ve seen people sort of “jimmy-rig” their own dropdowns, but it looked like more moving parts than I wanna work with for this. 💀

I was texting with a girlfriend to confirm our MLK lunch plans yesterday. I thought it was odd that I hadn't received response, so I called her this morning. It's a good thing I did because she didn't receive any of my texts yesterday. She has an iPhone and I have a Galaxy s22. I have RCS enabled, but my texts have always gone through to her as SMS, ever since I got Google messages maybe a month ago. I didn't accidentally block her or anything like that. Hello, all. I was wondering where it is good to make geeky friends.
Though this is my second semester here and I’ve made some friends, I feel like I cannot be genuine with them. I have a tendency to develop hyperfixations surrounding animated shows and games. I love talking with people about my special interests, listening to people talk about their favorite games or anime, and going to conventions, but so far I have had a very hard time finding a crowd that I feel safe being genuine in.
I love the friends I’ve made so far in my academic/religious groups, but I am in desperate need of a geeky friend. 😅
