So my card information was stolen off my phone a few months ago and used for almost $1700 on crypto.com. I reported it as soon as I saw it and was ensured I would be reimbursed. I had to submit a written statement explaining that I do not have and have never had an account with crypto.com essentially. I’m thinking this should be very easy to figure out being that like many other financial institutions, crypto.com account creation requires photo id, a selfie style picture authentication and obviously all other types of personal information. A proper investigation should reveal that I have no account there and hopefully they would be able to say who does have an account on which my card was used. This was in the end of October.
Fast forward to now. January 20th 2025. I have been denied and appealed 5 times. They want me to prove I don’t have an account with crypto.com. I have made probably 70 phone calls to chime, spoken with whoever I can get on the phone. I keep getting told if I send this document or that document that it should help my case. Well 3 written statements from me, one from my boss, one from my actual bank, and a police report later, they seem to think there isn’t enough evidence to support my claim.
I don’t know what else to do short of going to San Francisco and visiting the headquarters, which may very well be what I end up doing. I have now filed complaints with bbb, cfpb, and ic3. Because of this I hole thing, I am behind on bills and was unable to buy my kids Christmas presents due to the financial strain of losing almost $1700.
Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can get my money back or am I going to risk jail time for making a scene at the chime headquarters in San Francisco?

2025.01.20 21:50 AceTheNutHead I have no motivation to finish this game anymore.
Took my cyclops and prawnsuit to the lava zone to get some kyanite and explore some alien facility. Farmed the kyanite, then some monster started chasing me and because i had finished farming i didnt bother killing the monster and instead went back to the cyclops. When i got to it I had trouble getting in and the monster was chasing me so i got out of the prawnsuit and into the cyclops so that the monster would lose interest. However, when i got out of the prawnsuit it dropped into some lava and broke, and all my kyanite got lost. So now i have to take the cyclops out of the lava zone, out of the lost river, back to base, farm for a prawn suit, then go all the way to the lava zone again and i just cant be arsed. Maybe ill come back in a while. Just needed to vent.

My package has been going between 2 FedEx facilities in Houston for 6 days now and was finally able to talk to a real person about wtf has been going on and they blamed it on winter weather warning when the winter weather advisory in Texas didn’t even start till today so why has it been 3 hours away for 6 days. It just seems ridiculous for it to have taken this long. I ordered from a shop so I have no idea if it’s ground or express and this is a limited edition item that I can’t replace if it gets lost or damaged.

Well, Ill be that " I hate to be that person, but..". Planning a very last minute trip to Kenai area and I cant decide how to break it up. It's our first trip. Gentle hiking, breweries, a trip out onto the water to see the animals and the icebergs (likely two separate trips, correct?) are a must, time to wander and stroll, maybe fishing if I can find a charter for under $400. I gather the vibe is a bit different in Homer is different than Seward. We were thinking the following:
Land in Anchorage around noon. Grab car rental, head toward the peninsula with a stop at Beluga Point. So many things to see on this drive it seems. Stay in Girdwood night one.
Day 2, ride train to Whistle Stop for Spencer Glacier. It returns to Girdwood at 7:30, head to either Homer(4 hours?) or Seward. Or maybe skip the train, but that seems like a pretty cool idea. 4 of us LOVE train rides.
So, we can either fill 3 days in Seward area, or 4 in Homer area, or vice versa. We could also add a day on somewhere. I have 4 early 20's kids so I cant please everyone, but I'll take whatever suggestions you may have. Lodging for that many appears to be easier to find in Homer. Oh, and the kiddos would be down with camping, so maybe to save some money we rent and do that for a night or two? We just don't want to keep packing and unpacking. Thoughts?

Summary One day my wife came home from the gym and mentioned that she wanted to be able to view her HR zones on her phone while running on the treadmill. Obviously my response was just look at you watch. Turns out the only workout that does support something like this is cycling. However, while I thought about it more. The functionality of being able to view this data on your phone could be very useful. On top of that, I love the UI of apple devices and the animations from the zones on the Apple Watch. So the goal was to replicate all of that as close as I could. Taking inspiration from the obviously the Apple Watch, and the Fitness App. Use Cases Times this app would be useful. • First of all, if you like the zones display on Apple Watch but you don't have one. • Various workout situations • Indoor running • Rowing • Strength Training • Stepper • Elliptical • Anything where your hands are in use and or in a stationary position The Problems This app will be completely free and only on IOS. However currently I don't have an apple developer account, so I am unable to post this for everyone to start using. So I have two options...
One other problem as a disclosure about the app. While I am advertising realtime HR tracking in the app. This is technically not true. The way the app works is that it checks your health app ever two seconds for a new HR entry from whatever wearable device you have. So that means, if you have an Apple Watch. During a workout, you may get about 1 - 5 updates a minute. As I am only testing with an Apple Watch that's all I know. If you have another device it may update more frequently but I unfortunately don't know. Once again this app is free with no in app purchases! 2025.01.20 21:50 Kool-Kat-704 just finished my first watch
Oh my gosh I loved it. I loved this entire show. I have spent the last couple winters watching it (spread the viewings apart and took each episode in) and I can not wait to rewatch again.
Some final thoughts... this show was so unbelievably impressive having such a large cast and with nearly every character being well thought-out. Definitely did not love all of them (eh Anthony Cooper...) but they all contributed to the show in some meaningful way. I loved how "human" each character was, where their actions almost always made sense once given the context. I loved the pace at which information was revealed. I loved how almost each episode left me with a lot to reflect on. And, I actually loved the ending. I think the Jacob/MIB stuff was meh and felt rushed, but the "afterworld" ending warmed my heart. All the characters I felt negative about I ended up loving by the end.
Sawyer was my favorite from the first episode, and he remained my favorite till the end. But I think Jack, John, and Ben were the three standout characters in the show. Without them, there is no lost.
