2025.01.21 13:40 swellmaps1 trapped at home… my mom thinks I’m up to no good just because I’m finally living my life
my mom moved away from my hometown 2 years ago. She has no friends (absolutely ZERO, she never leaves the house) and doesn’t know anyone here. i (19f) moved in with her when I turned 18.
For about a year, I had no friends whatsoever, because my mom didn’t, so I felt odd about meeting new people. She also made me scared about meeting new people in my area because her and her baby daddy are VERY paranoid and constantly think somebody is threatening their home.
They have a ton of guns and cameras because of that. My routine was always go to work, then come home. Recently I started hanging out with people my age and making new friends. I notice my mom has been acting differently towards me. A few times out of the week I will come home late or even the next morning and I’ll get snide comments from her.
Last night I went out with my friend for like 5 hours to go thrift and get sushi and came home at 10:30. I had a monster energy so I was up all night watching netflix trying to sleep. Like 20 minutes ago, she comes in my room asking why I’ve been up all night. I was confused why she cared, so I said I’m fine.
She said, “Well clearly you’re doing something different, and it’s not going to work for me.”. I was confused and ask what she meant and she laughed and said you know what I mean and that she doesn’t trust me in her house. So basically that’s her way of saying she thinks I’m doing drugs because I’m going out more. I’m extremely offended because I literally have never exhibited any behavior that would lead her to that decision besides not being home all the time anymore and staying up this one night.
We live in a pretty dangerous county and I understand why she may be concerned. But even before I would go out she would threaten to remove me from her house over petty things, like my “attitude” (which is usually just me mirroring her own attitude) or when I first moved here and didn’t have a car and would ask her for a ride to work which is literally 3 minutes down the road. She would also often complain about how I’m an adult and I need to grow up but I’m the only person in the house with a life.
I pay my share of rent, I am the only working person in the house while everyone else is on social security, and I have my own car so I never ask her for anything besides a roof over my head. I find it rude and intrusive that she’s assuming things without talking to me first. I still have maybe 2 friends I hang out with 3-4 times a week and i’m still home most of the time, i just leave overnight sometimes but i always tell her when. She locks me out of the house when I leave, though. I don’t know what to do anymore and I could use some advice.

Guys please send sleep.... I am so exhausted.
My miniature pinscher is 5 months now and it's freeeeeezing outside (-13°F today). I can't take him for walks and have to do lots of training and playing inside my 2 bed apartment. But I get home from work and I'm exhausted and don't want to play or train, but I manage to chug along till 9:30am till I take him to bed with me.
Then I can only sleep until 6pm when I realistically NEED to sleep until 8pm, so that he can get some energy out and more mental games and dinner time until I lay back down for a 3hr nap at 8pm.
I think it would be a whole lot easier if it was warm so then I could take a morning walk with him and let him have his sniffies to tire him out. I'm going to start ripping my hair out if I can't get 9-10hrs of sleep like my body needs 😭

After living with friends for nearly a year, in 2019 / 2020 - I got an email -
"Our records show that you have previously resided at 'Address removed' and had a Loka Energy account for the supply of heating and hot water during your time at the property. The balance outstanding totals £73.26 and requires settlement. Please be advised that your account will be unable to fully close until the above balance has been settled."
I basically said to them that they can't just invoice someone 4-5 years later with no prior communication / no additional details... I logged into the system, and there is no additional details, other than you owe this .... Any recommendations ?

It seems Slovenia is currently facing a wave of Telegram account hijackings. Hackers are intercepting SMS verification codes at the telecom provider level, and at the same time, Telegram’s SMS and call-based activation methods don’t seem to work. Messages never arrive, and verification calls simply don’t go through.
Even a cloud password offers no protection. Despite having 2-factor authentication with a cloud password set up, my account was hijacked. Here’s how it happened:
- Hackers intercepted the SMS verification code for my account.
- They used this code to initiate a cloud password reset.
- I couldn’t cancel the reset because the SMS verification messages never arrived, and voice call verification failed as well.
- A week later, my account was deleted, and all recovery attempts failed due to the non-functional SMS and call verification system.
I tried logging into Telegram on another device using SMS activation, but by that point, SMS messages stopped arriving. Verification through phone calls didn’t work either—calls just didn’t come through. Seven days later, my account was gone.
At first, I thought it might be my own mistake or negligence. However, this issue appears to be widespread among users in Slovenia, as discussed in this Facebook group.
It’s also worth noting that, despite numerous reports to Telegram support, they are not responding and are completely ignoring the issue. None of those who reached out have been able to recover their accounts.

My sleep is consistently around 4-5 hours at its longest, and after, I can't go back to sleep again. I'll have periods where I have broken, 2 hour stints where I'm waking up in that time frame. It frustrates me because this is regardless of fatigue/tiredness.
Not looking for things like less blue light, tidy room etc. I've tried these and they do not work for me. I've played around with melatonin, magnesium and others but either I don't respond, or they just work in making me drowsy and sleep faster, but with no changes in sleep duration.
Anyone got any tips at all for what's helped? For what it's worth, I'm on Trazadone and Pregablin (prescriptions). I don't have caffeine in the afternoon. Am a recovering Alcoholic but that's not relatively recent, my last minor relapse being in October.

I just got a dxp2800. It would fit greatly under my TV Cabinet, but only if i lie it down on it's Side.
The Front of the Cabinet is completely open and it has a hole in the Back. So airflow should be fine.
Just wondering if there is any reason not to do this?
