[I wrote this over in careerguidance too, in case this looks familiar.]
I'm 24 and I just feel at a loss for a path. I'll be 25 in only a few months. I flunked out of college when I was 19 and I've gone from job to job since until I either find something slightly better or I get sick of it. Bookstore employee. Obituary clerk at a newspaper. Now I work in a mailroom. I don't like it but I don't know what else to do and the benefits are the only thing keeping me here. I just feel so lost, especially cause I only seem to know what I don't want to do.
I don't want to work in some corporate environment or a trade. I don't want to waste my life hearing about retirement strategies or the stock market, or waste my body being electrician or a plumber. And please don't bring up the army. I want nothing to do with that.
I thought about going to film school or something of that ilk - something artistic - and my partner seems supportive of the idea since we're moving in together soon and they have a better job than me, but I'm afraid I'd get no return for the investment with both the industry's issues, not being some fresh young out of college kid, and now competing with AI. I keep getting told my life is more than the job because there's hobbies and all but if I'm going to spend 40 hours a week of my life for the next 40+ years bare minimum here I'd like to actually not hate myself during it.
I can't sit at this mailroom for the rest of my life. There's a lot of downtime, sure, and I have job security since there's only two of us but I've been denied raises in my pay (they say it's because my state keeps raising the minimum wage, which is almost always what I've made) and I just hate the corporate people here. I don't wanna sit around fake people all day and hear about the stuff I don't give two shits about. I feel so disheartened and lost about it all. What do I even do at this point?

I'm genuinely addicted to social media. I've been on it since I was 9 and I was able to take a two week hiatus once but it was so hard for me. I got anxiety, I didn't know what to do. It was similar to quitting smoking. I'm so embarrassed to admit it. But now that meta is becoming actual cancer I want to be able to leave. I want to be done with it. I need to know how to quit. I don't know what l'm going to do other than doom scroll. I have two little kids that don't really allow me to do other hobbies. Thank you for your answers.

2025.01.21 14:07 Sparkieeey What are your thoughts on The Hunted?
Now that all of the cards have been spoiled of The Hunted, What is the first hero you will build? Which hero would be the most impactful/ strongest of them all? I'm interested to hear your thoughts...
My main thoughts:
Arakni, marionette => It has a super cool idea with The Brood and looks pretty strong at first glance, especially with the addition of those new stealth cards but I think the randomness of Chaos will definitely play its part.
Fang => I love the vibe of Fang, like a red aggressive hero but I'm afraid he has a less impressive kit than Cindra to really go off. He doesn't have a lot of "wow"- effects. I believe he still has to jump through hoops to get a decent damage turn.
Cindra => this hero will definitely get some interesting builds and being able to get those daggers back on instant speed ( even though you'll have to take into account the amount of draconic chain links) is a strong ability. She also has quite the follow- up cards to go wide and present a lot of damage.

After the Nazi salutes yesterday, Elon's mask is well and truly off. There is no reason for us to boost his profile, power, or bank balance. While we obviously can't force anyone to leave Twitter altogether, we can keep Twitter out of this sub.
Additionally, Twitter links are terrible. They're infested with popups, the video player is janky, and it takes forever to load. Aside from poster convenience, there's no good reason for it to even be here.
