I have grown up oversee in Dubai ever since I was a kid and I do not want to stay in India for further studies. Can I get MBBS in Georgia if I get atleast 500 in NEET? Or what is the min marks required for that? And is it tough to get into colleges or universities in Georgia?

2025.01.22 04:24 I_SMELL_PENNYS- Weird and long question/theory about hydraulic presses.
I was watching a video on nuetron stars and these things called "strange atoms" and their formed by immense pressure and heat. And naturally i came to the conclusion. "Well we have hydraulic presses that could probably do that!" And after some research i found out we definitely dont. But than i also thought. Since a hydraulic press has an almost infinite amount of pressure it can produce because liquids arent compressable why dont we have hydraulic presses that have millions of pounds of force.
Finally to my question.
Since a hydraulic press is only limited to the strength of the metal encasing the hydraulic fluid why cant we just improve the thickness of the metal to give it more strength for more pressure?
I have a diagram in my head of what im imagining but dont know how to write it down.
Basically what im imagining is:
The hydraulic lines and containing cell be made out of the strongest metal we can get and make it feet thick like bomb shelter walls "afford/source"
2 hydraulic pistons pushing on opposite ends of a bigger cylinder of our strongest metal. "I read on reddit that a smaller hydraulic piston with a bigger cylinder means more force is applied so thats what im going for here"
And now the containment area for whatever is being crushed. "For what my intended use I feel like a slopping cylinder that meets with the bottom of the containment area with a diameter of 1.25-1.25 inches would be best."
Sorry for all the weird stuff im bored and im curious of why we dont do more stuff like this

2025.01.22 04:24 Mountain_Yak5834 Outline Wiki - a hell to install, and it's made that way ON PURPOSE by the Devs.
I normally do not bash any devs or software. But Outline https://www.getoutline.com deserves it.
I first installed Outline 2 years ago. It was a struggle (7 days of reading and research, help of a senior programmer). Worked fine once it started working.
Then started update horror. Every time I update Outline, something broke.
Last year I moved server and it was hell. Just moved the docker volume and docker-compose, but things didn't work. This time I didn't have a choice as I had about 90 documents written in it which needed to be recovered. Eventually, after about a month, i managed to export the notes. THEN DELETED OUTLINE.
Outline developers purposefully make it hard for people to self-host. I understand they have to make money, but why are you using open source software to build your product? Just build something proprietary from scratch so you don't have to make it open-source. It is almost like the developers look for tutorials and break them in the next release/update of Outline. Right now, there are NO TUTORIALS on internet that work just by running docker compose like in the case of many open source software. And all guides/tutorials have been made obsolete just by making minor changes in the updates.
I am not saying outline doesn't work, it works, but any tutorials/guides you find are all obsolete because of the developers.
I moved on to AppFlowy, and Micrsoft Loop (i have Microsoft 365 subscription).
Beware & AVOID OUTLINE.

In madden and in this game i play offense only or else id dominate defense for career modes but every time the defense seems to be too good still. I just had a game where i threw a pick and fumbled 3 times and the sim only allowed 7 pts the whole game. (My defense ovr is around a 70 and the opponents offense was around an 80). Is there anything i can do to make it less like this?

I (30F) have been in a very loving, but incredibly turbulent relationship with my partner (35 f-nb) for 5 years. We both went through various (individual mental) struggles and we have successfully overcome the mental issues by supporting each other.
However, my girlfriend/partnefiancée recently came out as nonbinary, they awant to find their identity, and told me they are considering to get a mastectomy (which caught me by surprise and I’m sure if I would be attracted to them without breast) and they are not sure I’m the right partner for them, since I am not actually their type and I’m “too masculine”. They also noted that they are not as attracted to me as before since I gained weight and cut my hair due to my usage of antidepressant. The antidepressants ruined my hair, so I decided to get a short taper fade, so I at least look decent(depression is in remission, so that’s a win).
Partner also told me they were not feeling like they’re getting their emotional needs met with me, and would consider experimenting on an intimate level with other non-binary people, for they have never experienced.
I broke up with them last week and I feel like shite, but I would feel worse if I kept them in a relationship when they want to explore their identity, but now they keep to try get back to me, even though I am not their type (both physically and emotionally).

Hello everyone. So I'm a Nigerian-American who was recently hired as a camera operator for an independent Media company. We are going to Mexico City in Mexico and Buenos Aires and then Tierra del Fuego in Argentina next month. Now I can't say much about the project we are working on, but I just want to say that I am the only black person in my group (which is a group of 5) and this is my first time in Latin America, I have always wanted to travel there as well as around the world in general but my social anxiety prevents me from doing so. Now I have an opportunity and I feel so unprepared. My Spanish is intermediate but I know I will excel either way, is there anything I can do to let the locals know I am friendly, what should I do or not do. I just need some advice I don't know how to explain.

2025.01.22 04:24 kazooples I owe PayPal money, how do I stop it from spending money I don't have?
This only started recently, it used to be that if I didn't have money in my bank/debit card, the payment wouldn't go through, which is how I prefer it obviously.
But lately PayPal seems to put the payment through regardless if I have anything in my account or not, leaving me owing them for renewed subscriptions and stuff, how can I change it to the way it was before? Is it something I have to do on PayPal's end or is it to do with my bank?

 | Hi there. This is my first time posting. I have a 9yr old male intact Old English Bulldog. I noticed him babying his left hind leg in September 2024. As soon as I noticed that, I realized his thigh muscle was smaller than the right as well. I took him in and due to prior commentary from a different vet (they told me he had pretty significant hip/lower back arthritis) but it didn’t seem to be showing symptoms at that time (2/2024). The new vet suggested we try out the newly approved Liberala injection monthly as the studies showed amazing results for senior dogs with advanced arthritis. It took about 1-2 weeks for it to really show through; but he was rolling and running around for awhile. That only lasted a week. The doctor did say that it was an injection that peaked after a few doses, so I was hopeful the next one would do the trick. We decided to add Rimadyl to the protocol for added comfort. By the end of November-ish, his hind had gone completely lame. Vet suggested sedated imaging at this point to rule out “anything crazy or random”. I will post the picture but he said he’s never seen anything like it in his career. He could not definitively say if it was arthritis, cancer or a fungal bone infection. He sent it to expert imaging. They were not able to definitively say without biopsy or urine sample if it was any either. I paid $250 for a urine sample to see if it was a fungal infection of the bone. It came back negative. I guess I’m just on my last straw of hope that someone else has gone through or seen this. I was told biopsy is risky because of possible biological fracture, I don’t want to wait too long to make a decision because I don’t want him to have to go through the pain of a biological fracture and have to put him to sleep anyways and in pain at that rate…amputation is on the table but I don’t want to put him through that if it is cancer and he won’t live much longer anyway. PLEASE give me something! He’s overall a lazy lump of a lover dog and his quality of life isn’t too much impacted by this other than me being a hover dog mom making sure he isn’t flopping around on furniture. submitted by InterestingNobody689 to veterinaryschool [link] [comments] |
