I've created 42 longforms/shorts total so far, in the genre I've chosen for myself (art). The videos never really took off unless I went down the meme route. Memes are fun to create but I really can't see myself doing brainrot content primarily.
Meanwhile this one random short that focused on a completely different topic... I made it when I was first starting out and still had no idea which direction to go in... I posted that short 5 months ago and to date it's still sitting right up there on my 'Top Content in this period' report. It never fell off.
I'm starting to feel like youtube's trying to tell me something...
Has anyone done a 180 on their youtube niche halfway into the journey? How'd it go?
