I’m patching some walls in our new fixer upper getting ready to paint. Noticing more than a few bubbles. When I cut them out there’s always this hole in the middle. This particular one has a nail right above it. Wondering what causes this and if I should run a screw through before I patch it. That seems kind of pointless as there’s no paper to sink just below to secure it. Thanks.

2025.01.22 17:02 aitaimee Bugs.
This game has become completely unusable during the latest bug. I've been trying to do a dye run- as I’ve been so excited for this season- and it’s just really frustrated me.
When I logged in, I got the cutscene that season of radiance has started, despite already experiencing it. Then I was told that I could now favour emotes, which I’ve already done. My favourite emotes have been discarded so I had to find them again.
Then, when going into the daylight prairie, everything was fine until I went into the sanctuary islands. Immediately I was spawned to the quest guide and forced to wait for the last seasonal quest to finish. This then repeated when I went to Prairie Peaks and I had to complete the last season of moments quest.
On top of this, although I have the option to skip all shippable cutscenes, I had to watch the daylight prairie one with the mantas TWICE.
What has annoyed me the most is that now every single one of my map shrines are gone, despite having collected all of them, and now I have to find them again and meditate at the shrine.
If TGC don’t compensate again or at least make it so I have my mapshrines, I will be so disappointed.

I'm testing out OCing a few different kits of RAM, and I'm wondering if there's a good way of testing real world ram performance to compare them to each other?
I've tried superpi, but cannot see any difference other than run to run variance.
I've tried using Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but each kit I've tested is within margin of error of the other on min FPS, even with pretty different timing settings.
Is there a reasonably good benchmark that can be used t generate a RAM "score" similar to Cinebench or PC Mark?

I was recently gifted a bunch of old canvas portraits from different artists. Some of the paintings cane with a tag with artist name, $amount, and size. Not sure what to do with them, I have about 20 portraits. Can i sell them or donate them. Some of the tags have pretty big amounts, $500-1000. Does anyone know an appraiser? Or how shpuld i go about this?

2025.01.22 17:02 Ahridesu Can we talk about how busted sheilds are?
We are in a sheild meta, and shields block most of the ultimates in game. It is a basic ability, and yet, it counters most of the ultimates. It is difficult to play around sheilds because it has a huge hp bar.
When Scarlet Witch uses her ultimate, and dr strange sits in front of her 4 sec charging, with a sheild, is it fair for it to not only block the damage entirely for the team, but the only thing dr. strange lose is the shield itself and have the rest of the kit available?
but yeah, shields are way too strong for being a no skill, no cd... it should be smaller in size, and if the damage exceeds the shielding amount, it should apply damage to everything that it was meant to hit.
Defensive ulti is OP as defending, that is understandable, but a sheild blocking most if not all offensive ultimate in game? Ridiculous.

I am trying to find some websites that are really slow or even down in an attempt to educate users of how to tell if the site is broken, or the internet is down. Currently I get too many tickets where users are saying the internet is slow and then other users jump on the same bandwagon and say the same thing. My testing shows that they are nowhere near using up their bandwidth and that the slowness is just with the site they are going too. Of course when I am on site testing, the site always works. I will also illustrate this by loading youtube and playing a video but I just get the old deer in headlights response. I am hoping by showing them some good examples of slow or even broken websites, it will make more sense to them. Or, if somebody has another suggestion of how to explain to users, i will take that as well.
