Hey, I'm about to make a website for the first time ever, and I've only done about 3 hours of research, so I don't know much yet. I keep seeing WordPress drama, should I switch from WordPress to something else?
I don't have a domain name yet, and I don’t want to pay for anything until I actually have a working website because I’m not sure if I’ll finish it with my current knowledge. Right now I’ve downloaded "Local," and it seems like I can build a website without buying hosting.
I’m making this post because I know there are more experienced people here who might be able to guide me in the right direction. Should I continue with WordPress, or is there something better for a beginner like me?
Also, do you know any legit YouTubers who teach web design or WordPress? I’ve watched 4 videos, but they all seemed more like sales pitches than actual tutorials.

2025.01.22 18:20 NarrativeNecromancer How do I stop feeling so directionless with my career?
I’m 21, graduated uni last year in English lit and creative writing. I was so in love with writing stories and poetry but it feels like doing that uni course just stomped all that passion and creativity out of me. I can barely get myself to sit down and write a couple paragraphs these days. I have no idea where to go with my career.
When I graduated, I travelled to Asia for a couple months thinking I’d find my calling out there but I didn’t. I came back home, tried to find work and ended up in a factory job that made my mental health crash so hard. That job ended just before Christmas and I’ve been job searching since. I promised myself I wouldn’t do another minimum wage job and the next thing I did would be something professional or career driven.
I did a marketing internship during my course and after that I spent some time doing freelance blogs and articles. I’ve basically set myself up for a marketing/content writing/copywriting career. But the thing is, I hate marketing. The thought of churning out content for a company or writing their social media posts makes me feel so miserable.
In other aspects of my life, I think I’m doing well. I go to the gym daily, I look after myself and I have a lot of new hobbies that I’ve been getting into. I’m quite isolated in terms of friendships but I’ve been trying to reach out to people lately.
Now I’m basically just applying for every job I see. I feel so lost and I have no idea what to do with my career. I don’t want to pursue a career that I’m gonna hate just because that’s what I’ve set myself up for. I really just need some advice from anyone really.

2025.01.22 18:20 ArcticXRaven Deadly Assault: Typhon Destroyer Bugged
After experiencing a bit of trouble with Deadly Assault stage 2, Typhon Destroyer, I noticed that the boss appears to be bugged as of version 1.5.
I posted to the weekly mega thread about this and a few users seemed to have the same problem as me. After doing a bit more testing and looking at older gameplay videos about the same boss, it seems the encounter is simply bugged at the moment.
The boss is supposed to “charge” after the stun window is over which is indicated by the blue glow on the arms. 1.5 seems to have messed with the enemy AI as it no longer does this.
While it’s likely most people have done it by now considering there are only 2 days left, I thought I’d make a post about it for anyone else that might be struggling against this boss before the mode resets.

The operating expenses (opex) consist of multiple categories, such as general expenses, office expenses, car expenses, etc. We have received the subledger for the opex, but this subledger needs to be mapped to the categories mentioned above. Assume the subledger does not have predefined category names, but the total of the subledger reconciles with the total opex.
Is there a way, using conditional formatting, Goal Seek, or another tool, to determine which amounts in the subledger correspond to each opex category?

Hi! My husband and I have been doing carnivore for a month now. We lost great the first week or two but we haven’t really lost these last two weeks at all. I’m down 8 and he’s down 12. No cheating. We are doing some hard cheeses and heavy cream. I’m feeling slightly discouraged because I kept seeing people post they lost 25-30 lbs the first month and I feel like it’s to soon to be stalled. My starting weight was 206 and his was 312 so we definitely have it to lose. Drinking electrolytes and not over eating.
