It is not withered, nor was it attracting insects. Just a small vase of rose by the window, and the next morning I found them in the trash.

2025.01.22 20:47 anxious_gurrl Problem with multiple thermostats, says system running but not running
I have had this same problem with many thermostats for over a dozen years now. At lower (with heat) and higher (with cool) temp settings, it will click and say heat/cool is running but not actually run until temp changes by another 10 degrees (slight differences between thermostats). But if I set it a few degrees highe lower then it runs when it should. But this tends to keep the house hotter and colder depending on the season than I want. On all the thermostats, the issue will usually slowly creep to higher temps for heat and lower temps for cool. Eventually, exceeding temps available on some thermostats. Then, I try a new one and get the same results. I have tried really expensive thermostats and very inexpensive and everything in-between. This all started when I had a new furnace installed but it took a while to realize there was a problem and to realize it might not be the thermostats, so I wasn't able to get it covered by warranty. It is a very strange problem and everyone I have asked seems to think they are misunderstanding me or something. I have searched for answers myself and just come up empty. Info/insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi People,
I'm again pulling my hair out over Openstack.
Openstack is deployed with Kolla-ansible (19.0.1), Openstack version 2024.2
I have a Cinder-Backend with the Huawei Fibre-Channel driver. The Driver generally works, I can provison, attach and write to volumes via FC.
Glance also works with local file storage. Now the task is to also store images in Cinder. Should be an easy task, or so I thought...
The current problem where I'm stuck is that I'm telling glance-api specifically to request the internalAPI-Endpoint from the catalogue and it keeps accessing the external one, which it can't because its blocked. I'd rather not unblock it in the firewall and instead properly fix whats wrong.

Here it should use the internal Endpoint.
So it goes to the internal identitiy service api-endpoint to retreive the catalogue, but then tries to talk to cinder-api via the external endpoint.
According to the docs, the option cinder_catalog_info HERE should be exactly what I need. But when setting and rolling out, it does exactly nothing, it always uses the public endpoint.

I'm planning a week in Alberta this summer late July. Family of 4, 2 teens. Hoping to have a home base in Calgary, and travel to Banff etc. and East to see the Dino stuff.
Looking for advice on a hotel to stay in for the duration. Or if that doesn't make sense, why. Based on the map, I don't know if moving around makes sense, with half the itinerary being west and the remainder central or east.
Ideally it would have a pool, breakfast included and parking readily available (included or inexpensive). We will have a rental car, so we'll be mobile.
