So every morning at work, your boss gets to smack you in your face (within his private quarters), but he will give you a 50% salary increase as a result of this, as long as you continue to work there.
Below are the rules -
- You will receive a 50% salary increase, as long as you work at this company. So if your current salary is 50k, it will increase to 75k etc.
- Your boss weighs 100kg/220lbs, has the strength of way above the average male, benches 3 plates, Squats 4, deadlifts 5 etc, lastly he is a good amateur boxer in his spare time, with 10 years experience.
- On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being full force, the force of this smack will be an 8/10.
- This will just be an open palm slap. But you may choose to have a backhanded slap, but the force of this slap 10/10.
- This is an on-site job, so you are in office 5 days a week (no escaping with WFH)
- Your boss is also first aid trained and has a crash mat prepared, just in case you get knocked unconscious.

I (40F) went out on a date with a 50M last Saturday. He lives 45 minutes away but came to my neighborhood (he asked me to suggest a place but he booked the reservation). He had a long lapse in communication after Xmas and into the New Year so I lost interest but upon him asking for another chance, I agreed to meet for the first date. I get people are busy around that time of year and I myself was travelong rhen fell sick, but I dtill tesponded to him in a timely manmer.
The date went well. The convo was okay for a first date tho he talked about himself a lot (he clocked it at one point) and didn’t seem too curious about me unless it was surrounding a topic that also relates to him, like us both having dogs. But we laughed and kept things light. He also seemed attracted to me.
He made a comment about seeing him again. When he got home that night, he sent a text saying he had a great time and thanked me for giving him a second chance. He also asked if it was okay to send me something we had discussed so that I would get it during the week. He is a public person and my address is public info, so I was okay with it. The texts were all good after the date. Also, he did pay for the dinner, easily $150.
Next day, I don’t hear anything. So on Monday I send a text about something snd we go back/forth for a bit.
But it’s been 2 days and I have heard nada nor has there been any mention of another date.
I’m going to fall back and not initiate convo since I reached out last time. But I guess I’m a little confused given his messages after the date and sending me a gift, but not really communicating or planning a second date. Every other first date I had, a second one was requested within 1-2 days.
Part of me expected this since early on he displayed inconsistent messaging before the date.
I guess I just wanted to vent and put out how I feel.
Should I assume he is just not interested?

2025.01.22 20:04 OGBRedditThrowaway Why is Golden Mask written as set in Alaska when practically everything about it has more in common with Russia and Siberia than it it does Alaska?
The maps look nothing like Alaska, Soviet Russia never had mining operations in Alaska (even the Aleutians), Alaska doesn't have (and there's been no real proof that it ever has) snow leopards. Even the mythology involved has more in common with Siberian Yupik and Russian myths than it does any myths coming from Alaska Native tribes.
This feels like it was a change made very late in the expansion's development, as in after everything had already been nearly completed. Like someone just said one day, "We should change the setting from Russia to Alaska!" and everyone else was like, "Okay!" without really thinking about it.
Not really a complaint, I guess. The expansion was fun, just think this one part of the story is kinda weird.

 | Hi! I’m a beginner to 3D printing, but learning fast! I’ve run into issues with my last 2 prints in the same area on the print bed - the lower right quadrant. The rest of the 2 (different) prints are perfect except in this specific area, which is sloppy. I ran a full calibration and deep cleaned my plate with no luck. Your help is appreciated, thanks! Printer: Bambu A1 Mini Filament: Sunlu PLA Matte Gray Settings: Generic PLA preset, which has never given me issues before. In the EU, last spoiler warning btw. The Galactic Empire managed to keep fighting for over 15 years following The Battle of Endor. And while they split apart, came together and split apart again only to merge again. They still lasted a lot longer than they did in Canon. On a planet wide scale this honestly makes sense because of the limited resources and land to control. But on a galactic wide scale this just makes zero sense, even 15 years seems a tad bit short. I get it this is Star Wars so it’s not exactly the most realistic, but 1 year seems to be cutting it very close to absolute fantasy. Idk what y’all think? Which collapse/defeat was better or more realistic in your opinion?

Doing a rewatch of the show again and I was thinking about Garnett's dialog from Your Mother And Mine. If "Rose" actually petitioned "Pink" in front of the court, then it had to be Pearl. I theorized that for awhile, but I feel like this is definitive proof. Pearl shapeshifted more prior to the "shattering" but ultimately was so traumatized she wouldn't do it again till future. To me that feels like she might've actually enjoyed it. It just makes it more heartbreaking for Pearls backstory
