I can't figure out how this is possible. My last HIDA result was 45% EF and an ultrasound 3 weeks ago found sludge and 2 small ~5mm 'cholesterol polyps'.
I don't have attacks, but have constant burning pain below my right shoulder blade (sometimes on my left side too) and persistent loose, yellowish stool regardless of what I eat or what digestive enzymes I try.
My GB is the only abnormal finding after tons of testing, but I don't understand how sludge and polyps can cause back pain and GI issues with a normal HIDA result. Doesn't a normal HIDA mean normal function/bile release?
