I have a sedentary job and being self aware I notice I man spread a lot when I sit. I notice that my coworkers can easily sit with their thighs together when I do that my legs start to shake and it’s hard for me to keep them closed. Does that mean that I have weak hip adductors and hip internal rotators? What should I do to try to correct this ?

2025.01.22 20:43 Deniskitter Owning a home sucks sometimes
So, we have had issues our heat for a bit. Running out of oil, banging in the walls that sounds like we have a pack of six year olds with their first drums, and finally a valve that leaked and mildly flooded the basement. Think standing water all over the floor, but not Home Alone style after the "wet bandits" visited. Finally get the boiler all repaired today. Including another part that the tech noticed two days ago when he came out to diagnose the leaky valve. Banging in the pipes should be done now too. Hopefully. But in fixing all that, we notice one of the pipes in the wall is leaking. And probably has been for some time. Since the light switch is literally curling off the wall. I would post pictures if I could. So yeah, just wanted to scream into the void for a moment because home ownership can really bite sometimes.

Hey guys just wondering what you are using for calibrating trolmaster sensors or other environmental monitosensors you are using?
Want to double check and make sure our sensors are close or if we need new ones or have recalibrate the ones we currently using.
Also interested in a hand held unit to check temp/humidity in different spots thru the room. If you have any suggestions let me know!

Claim started January 12th, and I got the request for more information for approval late last week - which I have since submitted and am waiting to hear back on. This should be the first week I am able to request benefits, no? Why can't I even find the option to do so?
Every site says there's a "Request Benefit Payment" link on my homepage. But there simply isn't.

Hello, everyone! Here's an update from Westside Neighbors Shelter, 3620 SW Alaska St. It's the only cold-weather emergency shelter in the Westside corridor between Burien and West Seattle.
With the colder weather, we have more emergency overnight clients than ever--up to 50 in recent nights. Of course, this means the shelter is going through supplies at a rapid rate. Shelter operator Keith Hughes has made a list of what we've been using to keep everyone fed:
Regular bread that fits in a toaster, 4 loaves per day Milk, 3 gallons per day Eggs, 7 to 9 dozen per day Butter, 4 pounds per day Regular oatmeal (not instant), 6 to 8 cups per day Potatoes, 5 to 7 pounds per day Toilet paper, 4 rolls per day (a Costco 24-roll pack per week) Paper towels, 2 rolls per day (a Costco 12-roll pack per week) 10-inch paper plates, 100 per day 20 oz paper bowls, 100 per day 12 oz hot cups, 100 per day
If you're able to donate any of these items, the need right now is greater than ever. Some of these items are on our Amazon wish list, so you can just order them to be delivered. Or, you can drop donations by the shelter between 7 and 11 am, or between 5 and 9 pm. Also, please feel free to share this list in your own networks.
We'll all get through this winter together! Thank you so much for anything you can do to support your unhoused neighbors!

Just trying to understand all the different positions in healthcare.
I went to the doctors office earlier this month. There seemed to be a receptionist, then some kind of check in nurse that weighed me, measured my height, took vitals and then disappeared. Then there was the doctor. The after that another person came and gave me a EKG. Then I was sent back to the waiting room, to have my blood drawn, by what I assume what a phlebotomist.
