So, I tried bare knuckle on a heavy bag and my knuckles go bruised so I bought some wraps. I got an annoying cut in between my pinky and ring finger knuckle so I need a pair of gloves.
I don’t really want boxing gloves, but does anyone know if you can use MMA gloves and hit the bag hard? Or if boxing gloves provide better protection against the bag in general? Any help would be appreciated, I don’t really want to spend more then £60 I’ve seen some venom boxing gloves for £40 but don’t know anything about glove brands.
Would appreciate some help, thank you!

For FIT fashion design portfolio, does anyone know whether applicants have to purchase actual fabric swatches? Or, can we select photos of fabrics from fabric stores and include those? Also the portfolio instructions state that fabric swatches must be 2 inches by 2 inches. How does one deal with that when merging all images (design & fabric swatches) onto Canva or another digital application, where the size will have to be reduced to fit on 1 page?

2025.01.22 21:03 SubstantialPay8665 I'm spent approximately 100 hours trying to figure this out - help.
I'm trying to deploy a MarketplaceV3 contract on ThirdWeb and since I've been racking my mind trying to figure out which testnet to set up with.
When I tried setting up a Base Sepolia testnet, I used Alchemy and plugged in my wallet ID (after minimally funding it since that's a requirement), I got a *happy message* saying the ETH had been deposited but it seems the faucet lied because no ETHs were in fact deposited to my Base account. I was under the impression (naively it seems), that Base Sepolia was just cascaded under Base since my funding the Base account finally got my faucet request approved.
When I try to actually add the Base Sepolia network on MetaMask, as soon as I put in the chain ID for Base Sepolia (1115511) I get an error message that says "You already have a network with the same chain ID or RPC URL. Enter a new chain ID or RPC URL" but HOW do I "already have a network..." when all I see is Base in the list of networks and Base Sepolia is not on there to begin with. And that ETH that was supposed to come from that generous faucet? No sign of it.
If I sound like a newbie that's cause I am. How are you guys getting your testnets set up for a marketplacev3 contract on ThirdWeb? I'm not attached to any one testnet I just need it to work.
I tried to get Sepolia AND Polygon zkEVM to work too.

Hey folks, this just happened a little while ago so I’d really like to know if I’m the asshole or not. All players here include myself (34NB), my partner (34M), and his parents (60sF and 70sM).
If you search my post history, you’ll know that my partner and I have been struggling with his elderly parents for a few years now. Earlier this month, his mother flipped out and verbally threatened his father’s life (saying things along the line of “he might not be here when you come by next”). She has now claimed these statements were unfounded, and that taking his father out of the house was an overreaction. She is the only one who thinks this.
When my partner initially brought his father in, we were both in agreement that his retirement/pension/social security should be ours to budget and pay our bills with. Our initial plan was to have his father change his POA from his mother to my partner and I. We would then help him open a separate bank account that we would have his income deposited into that we would have control over as opposed to his mother.
It’s been a few weeks since then, and while his mother was initially upset about this change, she has now seemed to settle into the house without her husband. As such, her mental health seems to be improving, while my partner and I are now responsible for another person while still not having control over our finances. To say my mental health has been declining is an understatement.
For reference, last year my MIL claimed she didn’t have the money to pay our credit card minimums, and as such we both had to stop making payments. We tried reaching out to all CC companies to explain our situation, but of course none of them cared and instead they were all charged off. What’s worse is one of mine was with my main bank, and they closed my checking account. Before anyone tries to financially shame us for this, please know that we blame ourselves in this too. I have been struggling to find work for years now, and my spouse does not have the means to work on top of caring for his parents. I truly believe that if we were in charge of their finances, we would not have gotten into this situation.
Yesterday, I had therapy. My therapist and I discussed my financial situation, and she expressed that my partner and I should go ahead with the separate bank account idea I initially had, and even expressed that DV victims do this all the time. As long as his father consents to this, it shouldn’t be illegal and his mother should not have a case against us to try and reclaim income. She technically has her own, but she wouldn’t be able to afford her lifestyle without her husband’s income. Mind you, she does not like this man. She has only tolerated his presence because they can’t afford to place him in an assisted living facility. He cannot live alone for extended periods, and cannot drive.
Last night and this morning I checked in with my partner to confirm that we are on the same page about the bank account idea. He was tentative about it, and even more apprehensive this morning. When I tried to understand his sudden hesitance, he expressed that he’s been feeling really overwhelmed by things around us that it’s preventing him from confronting his mother. Things like our apartment not being in perfect shape, and being messy/disorganized. I believe this is an excuse to say he doesn’t want to have a difficult conversation with his mother, even with the detriment being our relationship. I did offer to help clean things up, but told him that it won’t change things unless he has a real conversation with his mother about our finances.
The way my therapist put it was that he’s facing a very difficult and uncomfortable moment with his mother, but sees that as harder than the potential of losing me. I’ve been trying really hard to adjust to his dad living with us, and making him more comfortable, but him becoming less okay with being more financially in charge is really hurting me. I feel like his dad’s babysitter, but without the financial compensation that typically comes with it.
All this is to say, I told him at one point that he needed to “be a man” and stand up to his mother for once. He got really emotional when I said that, and I feel really bad about saying it. I try not to use phrases like that, but at this point I need my partner to take charge and recognize that he would handle finances way better than his elderly, disabled mother. Yes, I did also say this to him.
So, AITA for telling my spouse he needs to “be a man”?

Hello!
So I’m looking for a DAC/AMP or audio interface recommendations.
What I have: Headphones I have include Audio Technica ATH-M50X, several IEMs and headsets but if I can sort out this setup, I’ll be selling my headsets. Currently I plug them into my PC & PS5 directly and when listening to my PC with two headphones (so another person can listen) I have to mess with Windows Sound settings (sound is not clean and lacks volume). Dedicated microphone is yet to be bought, it’ll be either the Rode PodMic or the Audio Technica AT2040 which I’m leaning more towards.
What I need with: To listen to two headphone simultaneously - 2 headphone outputs (with individually controlled volumes), one mic input (through XLR). To be able to listen to audio coming from PC or PS5 (source switching) and also be able to use the mic for both PC and PS5, though if it’s only possible with PC I understand.
I’m not sure if one product can do all of this so I’m open to stack options. Though I have a small desk and would like to keep the footprint to a minimum.
I’d like to keep the setup (dac/amp/audio interface or stack) under £300 preferably but if it’s not possible, I’m open to suggestions above this budget.
I appreciate the help and look forward to your recommendations!

I am (26) experiencing a delay in my menstrual cycle, as my period is 3 weeks late. I have been dealing with intense cramps and particularly severe lower back pain during this time. Recently, I visited a gynecologist and underwent a full panel of tests. My blood tests revealed elevated prolactin levels, with a value of 30, whereas I was told the maximum normal level for a woman is 25. My TSH levels, on the other hand, were around 1.
Additionally, last month was extremely stressful for me, which might have contributed to my current situation. Could you please explain what might be causing these symptoms?
