I understand Texas is a big place, and have been wanting to move there this spring. However I understand from census there are a lot of illegal immigrants in some of the Northern cities (100 Mile radius around Dallas). I’m concerned about safety. Does anyone have any feedback for me on affects of crime or if a lot of people are leaving because of our current situation?

Your mobile app is frustrating to use, but instead of just venting, I want to provide constructive feedback to help improve the experience for everyone. Below, I’ve outlined the most significant issues I’ve encountered with the forced redesign of the app. I’m surprised these problems haven’t been addressed yet, as I’m confident other users are raising similar concerns. For context, I manage multiple Fidelity accounts, including a personal taxable brokerage account, 401(k), HSA, 403(b), IRA, and Roth IRA, and placing trades for any of these accounts has become unnecessarily cumbersome.
1. Account Context Is Not Maintained
When I try to execute a trade, such as purchasing shares of ABC Company, and click “Transact,” the app does not retain the context of the account I was in. Instead, it defaults to the last account where a trade was executed. This has led to unintended trades, such as purchasing stock in my taxable account (the last used account) when I intended to buy it in my 401(k). This issue doesn’t exist on the web app, where the account context is always preserved when entering a trade. The previous mobile app also had this functionality, so the inconsistency in the new UI is both confusing and error-prone.
2. Options Trading Workflow Is Inefficient
The process for placing options trades is unnecessarily complicated. After selecting “Transact,” I must:
Enter the ticker symbol (e.g., ABC).
Switch from “Stocks/ETFs” to “Options.”
Re-enter the same ticker (ABC) again.
Also double check and make sure I am selecting the correct account
Only then can I proceed to fill out the rest of the order details. Why is the first step necessary? This redundant workflow is frustrating and slows down the process of entering positions. Having to input the ticker twice, just to switch to “Options,” adds unnecessary friction.
3. Page Refreshes for Basic Updates
Whenever account values update, the entire UI refreshes, rather than just updating the relevant data fields. This behavior makes the app feel sluggish and disjointed. The previous app handled this much more smoothly, updating only the account values without refreshing the entire page.
General Feedback
Overall, it feels like the redesign aimed to be more user-friendly but fell short in execution, making it harder to perform basic tasks and increasing user frustration. Fidelity’s excellent customer service and great fills on options trades keep me loyal, but these app issues need urgent attention to maintain user satisfaction.
I genuinely preferred the previous app, which may not have had the flashy design of competitors like Robinhood but performed core functions reliably and consistently with the web version. If the top three issues I’ve outlined are addressed, it would significantly improve the app experience for many users like me.
I’m happy to provide additional feedback or elaborate on these points if needed. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

How long does blood in the urine usually last after a popped cyst? It started off Saturday as a bright red, now it’s super dark almost brown.
I’m also dealing with left kidney and back pain that comes and goes. I’ve been drinking a lot of water, but this all started Saturday. I went to the hospital, and they ran a urine test and a CT scan. They said I have kidney stones, but none are currently obstructing or passing, and they didn’t really have any answers for me.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice or insight would be really appreciated!

Soooo, I just started playing gen 4, Pearl, for the first time ever and I got to Veilstone yesterday. How fast are you supposed to be able to build up coins? Because I've never gotten enough for a prize, but I've gone to the game corner only twice and I already have 11k coins starting from just the 60 free coins given by NPCs in the game corner. Probably 2 full hours of game corner overall. Seems too easy, but I'm not complaining.
Also, which TM should I go for? I'm stuck between flamethrower and swords dance.

Where do I even begin this story... It's a long one, but stick with me.
Last June, my MIL moved in with my husband and I. Our relationship up until then was decent and she's usually at her lake house from May-October so I figured how bad could it really be?
It was bad. Really bad.
From the day she moved in, her negative energy hung in the air like a cloud. She complained about nearly EVERYTHING, to the point it was difficult to even have conversations with her. She rarely left the house because she doesn't work or have a life and it was getting hard living in the house with her with no breaks.
On top of this, I was freshly postpartum and my husband and I were adjusting to having a newborn as well.
Now here's where it starts to get crazy...
Tensions were mounting and so we decided to take a brief staycation to get a change of scenery. When we returned, we found a note from my MIL taped to my husbands computer monitor saying that moving in with us was the biggest mistake of her life, that she doesn't want to live where she's not wanted and wants to move out ASAP.
Needless to say we were blindsided at the aggressiveness of the letter, but Okay. NBD, she's an adult and no one is forcing her to live with us.
We put operation move out in motion, and while this is happening she has a series of health catastrophes back to back bc unknown to us she relapsed back into her alcohol addiction.
Her maintaining sobriety was a hard boundary for us before moving in so we had all the more reason to get her out of our house as quickly as possible.
Fast forward a few months, one rehab stay, one hospital stay, and an additional rehab stay later, shes secured her own place and movers came yesterday for the last of her stuff. Her address hasn't been updated yet so her bills still come to our house and she asked my husband if he could drop them off to her on his way home from work.
During his visit, they had a conversation where she revealed that when we were away on our staycation, she went snooping through our bedroom bc she thought WE were planning to move out and she was looking for more evidence to support her delusion. In her snooping, she came across my journals on our dresser and decided to do some light reading....
She claims that what she read upset her so badly that she relapsed. She essentially blamed ME for her going and getting blackout drunk, continuing to drink for months after, and writing us the letter because it was "hard to try and have a relationship" with me after what she read 🙃
....riiiiiight.
So, needless to say I'm glad she's gone. And for everyone here that actually has sane, well adjusted in-laws that they enjoy...hug them tightly bc it's really rough out here🤣

So before I started school I tried to get funding for my college and the woman I was talking to looked into it and unfortunately said there was no funding left to support me at the moment. Afterwards I looked into it and it turns out the woman I was on the phone with was completely lying as she was just an administrative assistant at the branch building near me and the office that handles funding is totally different and that office told me the woman had no access to funding or the authority to mention if I can or can’t receive it. So my husband and I had a courthouse wedding last April and are having our reception on our anniversary.
Normally, there would be a fathedaughter and motheson dance. However, I don’t feel comfortable doing that and my mother in law isn’t physically able to do a motheson dance but we still want to honor our parents somehow in place of that.
Does anyone have any ideas on this? I’m completely stumped here.

I work for a company that provides financing for small business owners all over the US. The company is huge and have all the ISO’s you can think of and funds just about every type of loans, which is great.. but the frustrating part is that the amount of leads we get is very small when considering the amount of reps that we have… as a result we don’t get many leads and the ones that we get have already been juiced by the senior rep and team leaders.. I’ve been there for a year and I’m doing great considering the situation.. but to have success I am working 12hours a day and it really does not feel sustainable over time.
I also figured out that a lot of successful reps have their own lead sources and are obviously not sharing them with other reps due to the competitive environment that we’re in.
I tried to find my own sources but haven’t been successful yet.. and I’m genuinely trying to build a pipeline that hasn’t been screwed by other people and conduct ethical business.. so that I don’t have to burn myself in order to make a living anymore.
If you read this far, thank you for listening to my venting.. but also if you would be kind enough to provide advice, I’m all ears.
