Hi, I am a student about to finish my art degree course, and will need to use my own laptop instead of university computers for video editing.
Imovie is too basic, I've been using premiere pro which I don't think works on my laptop, so I need something in between. I can't upgrade my laptop yet but can buy an external harddrive if that helps.
I'm getting raw files from my camera, I am guessing I'll need to have smaller file types to work with my old laptop.
I'm not very techie so probably won't be able to do complicated mods or whatever!

Hi Everyone! I have specific needs regarding the PKMS. For now I'm using CraftDocs and it's really good one, but I still want to have one killer feature for me. Let me call it Daily Root Note.
I always do everything in the Daily Note then I'm forwarding things to specific document by copy & paste. What I'd like to achieve is to select blocks and then mention / tag another document and these blocks will appear in tagged document, but not as just backlinked documents / blocks, but as synchronised content, so I can place this content anywhere I want. I would let me doing basically everything from one note and then just change the position of it in desired document.
I haven't seen anything like that so if you know any software that allow you to do that please let me know

2025.01.23 12:17 dreamdays9 IF YOU SUFFER FROM A SPLIT DO THIS
Hi ladies ❤️ I recently had my revision surgery (8 days ago) as my first surgery (2 years ago) I suffered from a very severe split. I had the wedge procedure. My recovery was pretty traumatic and very long, so I was extremely nervous for the revision. Two days ago I said to my husband “this is the day where I had my huge split last time” (meaning at that point in my recovery) and I must have jinxed myself because that night I felt the same excruciating pain and I knew I was splitting. I looked in the mirror and sure enough that pesky first stitch had come undone leaving a small notch. Thankfully the surgeon used a different suturing technique this time, tying knots after each run instead of just one knot at the end - meaning if it comes undone the whole thing won’t unravel - which is what happened. Obviously I freaked out, and shed some tears, fearing the worst. But I remember reading about Manuka Honey so I ordered some the next morning. I’ve been putting it on for 24 hours about 3x a day and I can see the split fusing back together slowly. It might not get the whole split but at least once the swelling goes down it won’t be too noticeable.
A few tips: - the Manuka honey has to be HIGH QUALITY, I recommend 20+ UMF or higher. If it’s lower grade it doesn’t have enough wound healing strength and isn’t suitable for open wounds (not sterile enough) - after gently rinsing with a peri bottle, dry the area with a blow dryer on low settings. - apply the honey (don’t use silverware, use something sterile without double dipping or a wooden spoon to not affect the potency of the honey) - put on fitted underwear and pack it with gauze to keep pressure on the area - try not to move as much as possible
I’m praying that this will still heal better than last time, so far so good 🙏🏻 if anything I’ll go to another surgeon for round 3 to do a slight trim of the notched edge. TBH I wish I would have applied this since day 1 but what can you do.
Why Manuka Honey?
It has incredible healing capabilities and helps with tissue regeneration - it also has a lot antioxidant and antibacterial properties.

Im in the UK with over 2000 hours of HLL, normally play commander or squad lead - and for me the good natured and friendly play in the servers and chat has always been one of the standout items for me.
When Americans are playing on European servers - they are equally good natured with just a higher incidence of profanity, and desire explain to each other where they would put their dicks.
But yesterday was the most toxic American populated game I have ever seen. Unusually it wasn't one or two who were then subsequently put in their place, it was the commander, multiple squad leads and almost the entire team.
When I say toxic Im talking about joyfully calling everyone the N word, I'm talking about the squad leads shooting their own players if they didn't run in the direction the squad lead wanted. I'm talking about the entire command chat berating the the performance of all the squads - with name calling, jeering - and anyone who spoke up; the instruction was "Just vote the dirty n***a out" - and any level headed person was then kicked. or called a pu**y arse n***a.
I've seen toxicity before but it was voted down, or removed quickly - but this was the opposite in that virtually the entire team was like this, and so had the power to kick out anyone who commented.
I was shot four times by my own side - with comments like "I told you to run North you *&)("
or the commander saying "Easy squad are being dicks, just capture the point already you f***** n****s".
They were all Trump supporters - so there were anti Ukrainian comments, anti European comments, sexism, homophobic comments, racists comments - all gleefully cheered by everyone on the team!!!
It's very weird - I carried on playing out of fascination.
