I graduated last year with the intention of this year being my gap year, I applied for nursing through tisc and received an early offer.
My atar was 77.15 so not very high but my school area being rural, I got bonus 5 adjustment points so 82.15
I decided I wanted to study OHT so I called curtin up to unenrol my place for nursing and too apply for OHT for second round offers (21st of jan) despite being told that it's an extremely competitive course and majority of the pple enrolled had atars of 91+ (insaneee)
unfortunately I was unable to get a place and was offered another nursing enrolment instead.
would it be worth it to ignore the offer (doesn't give me the option to decline) and apply again for OHT by the end of the year? honest thoughts please!!! :))))

2025.01.23 16:50 Lucid_Lu Alberta Ambulance ride fees went to collections without me being aware of the charges
So over the summer I had a mental health/medical emergency incident in Alberta that had me in an ambulance. I was in the hospital briefly and returned to my home province of Quebec. Now, or around the middle of January, I received a notification on Credit Karma saying that I had a collection agency bill on my account. When I went to check, it was for the $585 ambulance bill. I called my bank, who told me to call Equifax, who told me to call the collections agency, who told me to call Alberta Health Services, who told me to write to their collections department to dispute the charge. But I'm not sure how that will or or what grounds I have to not pay it. I just want to save my credit.
I've been working very hard since 2020 to bring my credit up. It was around 575 back then. Now it's up to, or it had gone up to high 600s, low 700s. I haven't had a missed payment in the past 14 months, and I'm planning on getting a new car soon and hope this doesn't stop me from being able to do that.
I didn't realize that the ambulance trip wasn't covered under health insurance. At the time, I didn't have my health insurance card on me, nor did I have any ID. I was also in a decreased/altered state of consciousness and dont recall many details. I asked the collections agency why they didn't contact me, and apparently, they sent three letters to an address that I haven't lived at for over three years. And when they tried to contact me by phone it pops up as suspected scam, apparently people report them as a scam because they don't want to talk to them. So I must have ignored their attempts to contact me. I received no emails.
My question is, is there any way that I can have this charge not affect my credit? Anyone I can write to? I know that I have to pay the $585 because apparently my Quebec Medicare doesnt cover ambulance rides. But I feel as if this affecting my credit is not an accurate representation of my financial responsibility. And it really sucks to have my credit impacted this way, especially at such a vital time. I'm doing better than ever now by the way, hopefully I can get this fixed. Thanks for any help.

Okay team, looking for recommendations on indoor security cameras. I have Wyze cameras setup outside, and for whatever it's worth they work wonderfully. For the most part lol. I do like them and am okay keeping them up outside for monitoring and basic notifications for people and pet, but I want something a little more secure for inside the house. Basically, the only requirements I have right now are no wifi cameras, and no battery operated cameras. POE or something that plugs in would be ideal, and while I'd like 4k cameras, QHD or1080p is acceptable for this use case.
Suggestions?

I have always been an earnest person. Ive never enjoyed environments where others are snarky, overly sarcastic or rude/mean for laughs.
I think wit is wonderful and I consider myself witty, but Ill never understand roasting people you love.
This doesnt get me far, but I refuse to change. What is up with earnesty not being a valued personality trait?

I’m looking for a way to find social media accounts (across any platform, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) that are performing really well, where I can also see their best-performing posts, videos, etc.
I honestly thought this would be easier, especially since most platforms have decent search functions. But somehow, I can’t even find really good accounts focused on online marketing on Instagram when I use the search feature. Occasionally, I get good channels recommended to me, but if I actively search for them, it’s completely useless.
The same thing happens on other platforms too. Does anyone have tips or tools for this?
