2025.01.23 22:22 Hour_Trade_3691 Question- What are the Different "Levels" at this point?
I've often seen phrases tossed around that are like:
"Once Year 3 is done, Ayanaokoji will be on/surpass Akiyama level."
"This guy might even end up being close to Baku level."
But those are really the only two "Levels" I've heard of. Akiyama and Baku.
A little while ago, it would seem like the levels would go around-
Yumeko, Yuichi, Ayanaokoji, Akiyama, Baku, Souichi, Fang Yuan.
Every other franchise hasn't really been decided yet- I've never seen anybody declare Light or Conan To be definitively above or below anybody else really.
Tokuchi, Akagi, and Vincent Lalo all appear to be around Akiyama's level, often being rated just ever so slightly higher than him, but not enough of a difference for people to consider them their own "Level." This: "Level" appears reserved for Akiyama.
So... Has anybody else ever heard of any character with their own: "Level"?

2025.01.23 22:22 embee1692 Crate Training Set Back Advice
Hi all - We have a doxie just over a year old. We got him just shy of 1 year so we have had him for a couple months. He was decently crate trained when we brought him home but continued to work on crating when he came home, working up to longer periods in the crate and eventually us being gone for longish periods of time. We were so grateful crate training was so successful for him. He would even crawl into his cate on his own when he was tired.
However he is regressing in his crate training for times we are home, or trying to sleep at night. We made a mistake of letting him sleep in bed with us while we were away for the holidays. Coming home he started barking in the middle of the night so we would let him come get in bed for the remaining few hours of sleep as a quick fix (big mistake obviously). A couple weeks later, he now will bark at us while we try to crate him while we are home. So he barks at us while we eat, or shower, etc. It seems he wants constant access to us and can't relax if he can hear us or see us walking around while he is in the crate.
Interestingly, if we crate him and leave our apartment he does not bark or whine (we have a furbo on him so we know what he does)
At night he may go in to hi crate initially, but an hour or two later he will start whining and barking to the point of working himself into a frenzy. We have been really trying hard to not cave because we don't wan to reinforce the behavior, but it is too the point it is disruptive to neighbors, and distressing how worked up he gets. He sleeps in a crate next to our bed. i don't know what to do to try to calm him without reinforcing the behavior.
We considered just letting him sleep in bed permanently at this point, but I think his barking at us form the crate while we are home is related. Sleeping in our bed has made him feel he needs / can have constant access to us, rather than before, he was definitely attached to us but was able to relax while being on his own rather than needing to be right next to us.
Any advice on what to do to help your doxie make it through the night while not reinforcing whining/barking for release, and managing to keeo your sanity in check would be appreciated.

Okay so obviously I feel incredibly sorry for Freddie - totally savage traitor move by Charlotte to throw him under the bus with the hidden shield info. He did put up one of the all time worst roundtable defences, but he’s such a sweet lad I really feel for him having to reveal that he was a “traitor” all this time.
BUT ALSO:
I am feeling for Charlotte. From her perspective:
- Plays a brilliant game as a faithful (okay the accent thing is weird but honestly seems to have very slightly helped so 🤷♂️)
- Recruited out of the blue by a very very accomplished traitor (Minah).
- Immediately takes to the role, turns on Minah and eliminates that threat.
- Gets close to the end and is FORCED to recruit.
- Chooses Freddie and survives (ish) all of the chaos and mess that comes with that, due to a savagely brilliant double cross.
- Out of nowhere this new power enters the game and suddenly it’s going to be she said vs she said with your closest mate from the last few weeks? Brutal.

2025.01.23 22:22 Moist-Yak-74 Cop followed me home to give traffic ticket
A cop was doing stop sign enforcement near my intersection and i made a right turn passing the officer while he was parked facing the opposite way. As i turned into my street i saw him making a U turn and he followed me onto my street and approached my vehicle after i had already parked. He signaled me to stay in the car and not go in the house, and proceeded to write me a ticket while my car was parked in my driveway. Is this allowed? Can i use this as a defense that i wasn’t operating the vehicle when he actually gave me the ticket?

2025.01.23 22:22 Sharp-Landscape2854 Social media (and virtual communication software) is not all bad
Sure, there are many negative effects of social media and if I wasn't semi-addicted to multiple platforms overall I think my life would be better without it. And I don't say this to take away from any of the cases of people experiencing true crises that stemmed from social media usage-it can definitely be terrifying at times.
But social media has also improved my life and broadened my worldview in ways I could have never imagined without it. I think the most notable effect I rarely hear people talking about is that I've became more cultured and socially aware from social media. To name a few examples, I've learned more about what it's like growing up in countries far from my own, a glimpse into what it's like to be homeless directly from those experiencing homelessness, and the top food spots in the further neighborhoods of my city as a transplant. As a 24 year old, cue the eyerolls from older people but while I agree with my Gen Z-hating parents that you can kind of tell my generation doesn't read nearly as much (and not in a flattering way), I feel that we also are *generally* more aware of what it means to live a life vastly different than our own due to social media and increased ease of having friends worldwide. I see this even more so with my 15 year old brother who got on social media at a younger age than me. And of course there is a lot of misinformation that comes with getting news off of social media platforms and I definitely believe in fact-checking with more credible sources or experts, but honestly I've learned so much about social issues and became much more aware of cultural missteps in many ways from social media. Technical jargon is a big barrier to getting the average non-expert to care about things that don't involve them and social media at least removes that barrier a bit.
And then of course there's the increased ease of keeping in touch with people far away with social media/communication software, or even texting friends who live four miles away you don't have time to meet up with all the time. I occasionally DM my distant cousin that lives halfway across the world from me. I keep in touch with friends I'll maybe never be able to see in person again, and am still very close to my friends I see twice a year when I visit my hometown. I can late night FaceTime with my crushes and when I was in a LDR, with my partner. As an early career scientist, I can Zoom with potential collaborators I would have never been able to meet in the past. My grandma, who moved to the US in her 20s, is able to see her highschool friends' faces over video chat for the first time in many years even though most of them can't travel anymore.
I think my hottest take off all with this is that I don't think social media COMPLETELY degrades social skills. I grew up with pretty crunchy parents that limited my screentime and I kind of had no idea how to relate to other kids at first not seeing many examples in the media or understanding pop culture references, but I've became pretty extroverted and social as an adult having spent more time online. Of course this is only goes in moderation and I still believe the most useful way to improve social skills is lots of real-world practice that doesn't involve a screen in any way, but I think being on social media and consuming pop culture is useful for social skills in moderation. Texting is also such a big part of our lives now and it definitely becomes more natural with practice.
Of course social media is far from all good-there's something to be said especially for the more you're living your live on social media the less it's taking away from your real life and the FOMO that comes with it is real-but I truly think it can be a powerful tool in moderation with internet safety precautions, screen time limitations etc.

Currently interviewing for a position that sounds promising. I was contacted about the phone interview last week and had the zoom interview today. Next step would be an in person interview.
What im wondering is if/when I should bring up a vacation I have planned? It was planned and booked before this job came up and I’ll be abroad for 1 month late march-april.
The job is looking to begin in about a months time, obviously im not sure i’ll even get this position but is this worth mentioning soon? One, i dont want to waste the hiring teams time if my absence will affect schedule, but on the off chance I get the job and mention i’ll be leaving on myfirst day.. is that worse?
Id appreciate any advice!

2025.01.23 22:22 Evening-Horse714h I Need Help
I have been trading for 3.5 years and I keep feeling like im back at square 1. I'll have some success then it will all fall apart even though I haven't changed anything. I keep going in cycles of implementing a strategy, seeing it work, then just randomly start to fail. Trading is by far the hardest thing I've ever done and will ever do and it is the only thing that is ever on my mind, and its so draining. I always see people saying that the only thing between them and consistent profitability is their emotions and I wish I had that problem. I feel like I stay pretty disciplined but things always end up going south. I just really don't know what I'm doing wrong at this point. I know that in order to have consistent long term profitability you have to trade with a fair amount of discretion (because 100% mechanical strategies can't work long term when conditions constantly switch) which I do, however discretion makes it so hard to figure out what I'm doing wrong when things arent working. Is that all that really separates consistent unprofitability and consistent profitability is some discretion and intuition (assuming there is an underlying strategy with some merit). That seems like such a fragile thing to separate someone from losing tons of money to making tons of money. Im really just looking for some advice. Ive tried everything from scalping on 10 second charts to trading on 1min-1hour candles, Ive tried footprint charts watching for delta divergences and absorption, bookmap, volume and market profile, trend trading, counter trend trading, and everything in-between. I have a lot of knowledge on things but I just cant make anything stick. Any advice on what I need to do would be greatly appreciated, Im in too deep to give up on this. Thanks in advance

I've been diagnosed with epilepsy since February of 2023, I tried working two jobs since being diagnosed. I got fired from having a seizure on my way to work and having a seizure while working in the backrooms of a retail store. I kept getting suggested I try out for disability, I kept getting denied for a year almost two years come February. My seizures have been somewhat under control however not having a job so long makes it nearly impossible to get a job, especially when they find out I have seizures. I have an occasional one from stress once in a blue moon, I got offered a job dealing with kids. The kids are very violent, you can't tell them no or tell the parents about their behavior because they pay too much for their kids to be there to care. It's understaffed which is an understatement, you can't use the restroom at all (it's a 10 hour shift). The pay is the bare minimum, you work mon-fri so getting a weekday off is impossible. The people there are extremely gossipy, you also don't get benefits or overtime pay. Should I even take the job, it's the only that has even given the chance in the 2 years I've been unemployed.
