Driving other cars on my insurance

2025.01.24 14:51 x24han Driving other cars on my insurance

Hi all,
From next month my policy will include driving other cars on a third party basis.
I understand the rules however, it's the third party bit that confuses me - does this mean if someone hits into me whilst I'm driving the car, their insurance should pay out for the car I'm driving as long as it's not my fault?
And if it's my fault, my insurance will only pay for third party damages and not the car I'm driving?
No mention of any limitations with what car I drive etc either.
Is this correct?

2025.01.24 14:51 Big-Shift-1101 marker on the body of a Porsche...

Hi everyone, I am a content creator and I need to make a video series in collaboration with a car rental company and I need to write over a couple of luxury cars with a marker pen. I've seen that with water-based markers there shouldn't be too many problems, however since the writings have to stay for a few hours I have my doubts. Otherwise I had thought of a clear wrap over some parts.
Do you have any ideas or solutions not to spend a fortune? Thank you very muchmarker on the body of a porsche

2025.01.24 14:51 Budget_Wolverine_155 Danielle is insufferable

Am I the only one who thinks Danielle is absolutely insufferable? She sits there so smug and thinks she’s running the show, when in fact she has done nothing, and honestly is the most suspicious of all of them.
And this is coming from a longtime BB fan…

2025.01.24 14:51 SlaveKnightDale SL1 Playthrough Complete!

This was my second souls SL1 playthrough - I've done Dark Souls 3 before several years ago. While there were times during my DS3 run that I thought I would go insane and pull my hair out, I never felt that here. Demon's Souls was much more methodical and slower going through the levels, but much easier and less stressful.
SL1 for Demon's Souls really accentuates the old school adventure game aspect that I love - your character isn't powerful themselves, but by collecting powerful items and planning, they're able to stand toe-to-toe with kings, demons, and legends. The game feels really special already, but I actually think this might be my favorite run I've done.
As for those powerful items I mentioned, the equipment I relied on was a Moon Winged Spear, the Dragon Longsword, the Lava Bow, and of course the Thief and Clever Rat rings. I played mainly melee but did use the bow to clear out a few levels and 1 boss. I didn't use Second Chance or pick up the new Sodden Ring for 5-2 since it wasn't in the original.
My route through bosses was:
Vanguard Demon (2 deaths) - I was rusty and had to restart the run twice to kill this guy. He kept standing against the wall so I couldn't get behind him.
Phalanx (0 deaths) - Pretty much like a regular run for most people, as Royalty is probably the most chosen class. Firebombs and turpentine make quick work.
Armored Spider (0 deaths) - I grabbed the Winged Spear in 1-2, then made my way through the tunnels to get upgrade materials. Pretty simple boss as long as you stay in his face and roll through the swinging arms. Afterwards, I grabbed the Dragon Longsword, and upgraded my spear to be Moon +1.
Flamelurker (11 deaths) - This guy sucks as melee, but using a spear helps since you can poke and back pedal to stay out of range. The fight that earned me victory was like 10 minutes long, and I kept having to run around the pillaskeleton and just poke him with the spear whenever I could while spamming grass.
Dragon God (0 deaths) - Scripted fight then soul arrow'd his chin from safety.
Adjudicator Demon (0 deaths) - After farming for agessssss for Dragonstone Chunks, decided I wanted a costume change and went to rescue Blige. While I was there, I said might as well and stopped off and killed Judy. It went faster than a normal run for me, since he's usually the first boss I kill.
Old Hero (0 deaths) - Since I was already here, and I had a Lava Bow, I bought some fire arrows from Blige and ran through 4-2, shooting the reapers to death. Old Hero got the Dragon Longsword treatment.
Storm King (0 deaths) - Yeah, I used the house. Impossible to die. Afterwards, I crafted the Morion Blade and grabbed Makoto to set up hypermode.
Fools Idol (0 deaths) - She died in 3 hits from the Dragon Longsword + Clever Rat Ring + Morion Blade.
Maneaters (2 deaths) - First death, I was trying to run to the ledge where the shortsword is, and got clipped by him jumping into the stairs. Second death, he lunged and curved around the pillar. Third try, the first one went down really fast, and then the second one kept getting lost in the air so I just shot him with my bow until he died.
Old Monk (6 deaths) - I'm not proud of dying 6 times to the npc, but I kept trying to do it with hypermode and the speed of his claws kept catching me. Also in the very first fight, he was almost dead, so I spaced and lunged at him with the spear R2, but as I pressed R2, the homing spell went up, he rolled, and before I could regain control of my character, the spell hit me and I died.
Leechmonger (0 deaths) - This was the hardest stage for me. There's just so many enemies in such a small space, and you cannot run through them. It took a few tries to get going, but once I got to the boss, I decided to just shoot him with the Lava Bow from safety. My only shameful part of the run.
Dirty Colossus (0 deaths) - 5-2 was actually easier than the previous stage, since you can somewhat skip it by stacking health regen and just walking through the swamp. It takes forever though, so I played the fight extremely safe and only attacked after his combo or slam.
Maiden Astraea (1 death) - Parry check. I failed the first time and got one-shot by Garl's giant hammer. Probably could have used hypermode to out damage her healing, but Garl seemed bored.
Tower Knight (0 deaths) - He just doesn't have enough health.
Penetrator (0 deaths) - Soul Remains and the Cloak spell got me through this level, and it still took 2-3 times. I actually died to one of the Red-Eyed Knights attacking the wall because the animation for his sword swing hits behind him. Penetrator himself was the same as usual - his attacks are very telegraphed and easy to dodge through.
King Allant (0 deaths) - For the level, I used Soul Remains to distract all the archers and then parry to deal with the knights. For Allant himself, I used hypermode with the Dragon Longsword and baited his dash attack or the big AoE that leaves him open for R2s.
Looking at the boss death numbers, in my eyes, the nature of SL1 really exemplifies how much tougher the levels are than the bosses. Most of the planning and strategic work is how to manipulate the levels and get items or make it through the challenging gauntlets alive. The boss fights are just the reward - something cool to experience and let you feel powerful after all your hard work.
If anyone wanted to try a FromSoftware SL1 run, I would definitely recommend starting with Demon's Souls. It's challenging, but obtainable, and in some ways enhances the best parts of the game - the sense of adventure and wonder.
