At the time, I didn’t fully understand what was happening. But looking back, I realize it was more than “advice.” It was colorism, internalized racism, and a deep reflection of colonial beauty standards.
When I was 11, family members decided to relax my hair without my mom’s permission. They said it was to make my hair “more manageable” and “beautiful.” I didn’t understand the implications back then, but those words sent a clear message: My natural self wasn’t acceptable.
I’m sharing this because I’ve seen how these subtle forms of racism play out in families and communities, often unintentional but no less damaging. In many African and brown households, the pressure to conform to Eurocentric beauty standards still runs deep. And sadly, it’s often our loved ones—who may not even realize their harm—perpetuating these beliefs.
It took me years to unlearn these messages and embrace my natural hair, but I’m still untangling the pain of those experiences.

I am using Llama3.2Vision11B LLM on Ollama to analyze my farm indoor plant growth. I run it in Debian 12 on a HP mini desktop with i5 8500 chip, 32GB RAM with 512 SSD. As my plants grow, I need to train the model to infer better. I have not seen ANY videos or posts on how to train to do this using my CPU based computer. I don't care about time it takes to train, let it be 48 hours. I don't have a lot of pics either to train from, worst case 500 pics. Please help me! Should I look at anything other than Ollama?

2025.01.24 18:41 amazingmrbrock I hate editing videos, please share tips to make it tolerable
I've tried a few different editors most recently using Resolve. I know my way around the software and editing but whenever I open up a five to seven hour gameplay video I just kind of don't know what to do with that much video.
It's so much video and scrolling through it all is super tedious. I don't recall where the good content is and picking through it all to find the good stuff is taking almost as much time as streaming is.
How do I make this faster and do it with more intentionality? I would like to make video content as we do.
I've got firebot marking my stream whenever I brb or when points triggers happen but it's not really cutting it.

Not even a relationship, a FWB. I know I’ll move on fully from the physical intimacy and it won’t take too long, but I’m also grieving the friendship because this is the second time this has happened (him pulling away, even on a friendship level, after we’ve been intimate for a while). I know the healthiest thing for me is to cut off communication until I move on, and maybe we can become friends like we were again, but I simply don’t see any reason for us to meet in person again. Plus, I’m disappointed because this is the second time he’s been inconsiderate of my feelings, pursuing me and pulling away when I make myself available to him. He didn’t lie or mislead me, I just wish he’d considered how hurt I was last time he’d done this to me before doing it again.
Can’t fault a guy for not being as into me as I am him and I know I’m doing the right thing, but the grieving process sucks and makes me feel low key crazy sometimes. Only thing I keep reminding myself is I always move on, especially if it wasn’t good for me because the infatuation goggles inevitably come off, but boy does this suck right now.
I have more deep and complicated problems that I’m dealing with, but it’s easier for me to vent about this stuff because I know it’s temporary, even though it’s sucky.

After a rather slow start to my last eval in November and with BF, Christmas and NYD in between, my RFY has suddenly become very kind to me in the last 10 days or so. After almost two months of not being able to order much at all, I'm suddenly back on track to hit 94 items in this current evel period, and I'm at 100% reviews again as my enthusiasm is most definitely back.

"We are making some changes to the way we display odds on our Sportsbook. As part of these updates, from Thursday 23rd January 2025, the odds preference on your account will no longer be available and all prices will be displayed as demical odds."
Has anyone else received this...? The setting to change back and forth has been removed as well. Obviously I know how decimal odds work but much prefer fractional.

I love this game so much, but there is one thing I really wish I could do.
I wish I could save the Inquisitors I make for each playthrough, that way I can use and reuse them however many times I want without recreating them in the CC. Because that takes a LONG time getting every detail right. I have several Inkys from Inquisition that I've used already but the thought of spending hours in the CC recreating them fills me with dread. ESPECIALLY my Lavellan that romanced Solas. I want to use her again for my canon playthrough of Veilguard but I worry about having to make her all over again and and the possibility of messing her up.
I haven't found a way to save the Inquisitors (unless I overlooked it, which is entirely possible). I just think it would be cool if after you make them you have an option to save them like a template. And the next playthrough instead of making a new Inky you could choose the one you saved from last time.
I don't mind creating brand new Inkys (I see it as like creating the guardian from BG3) but I'm really attached to mine from Inquisition, you know? I just wanna play with them over and over again!
