I (28 f) recently got engaged and we’re planning on not waiting long to get married-Sept this year. I’d really like to lose like 30 lbs so I can fit into my mom’s wedding dress! I’ve had such a hard time losing weight for years and think a large part of it is due to being on 40mg of Citalopram. I’ve started tapering off of it and hope to get off it completely and shed some lbs, but I’m not holding my breath. I’ve been weight training and doing some cardio at the gym 3-5 days a week and staying in a calorie deficit for the last month and my weight hasn’t budged! I know it takes longer than that to see results but literally haven’t lost a pound. Any advice??? I’ll try anything!

Admittedly, I’m Gen Z, so I’m not in the audience for older goosebumps, or bewitched, so it’s not intentional. But does anyone else feel it reminds them of stuff they read like “dead Bart”, “squidwards suicide”, this feels exactly like one of those I read as a kid. But in the best ways. It felt partially like I’d read this on the creepypasta wiki, and it hit a nostalgia cord. Even if those creepypastas grew to be extremely cheesy, this replicated those stories to a T.

Soy una mujer de 21 años, vivo con mis padres, tengo una relación con un chico maravilloso, sin embargo estoy harta de su hermano, su hermano (lo llamaré Juan) tiene 29 años, dos "matrimonios" fallidos y una hija de la cual no se hace responsable. Además de esto es un tipo deudor, pues a pedido innumerables préstamos al banco, ninguno los ha pagado, por lo que mis suegros han terminado pagando aquellas deudas, es un borracho que ha llegado intentar golpear a mi novio y ha robado dinero de la casa de mis suegros. Actualmente Juan vive junto con su nueva novia, sin embargo, muchas veces han discutido, por lo que ha llegado en madrugadas a la casa de mis suegros sin avisar, se queda varios días sin hacer nada más que beber, y después de unos días se va de regreso con su pareja, eso ha pasado muchísimas veces. Mis suegros se lo permiten, pues prefieren dejarlo así para no discutir lo de siempre. Mi novio ha hecho muchísimo por su hermano, desde prestarle dinero hasta servirle de tapadera. A mí no me gusta esto, y cuando intento decirle algo de que no es lo justo el saca la frase "es mi hermano y tengo que apoyarlo". Cuando me dice esto ya no me meto en sus problemas, pues como tal no afectaban mi relación. Este último mes las cosas cambiaron, pues Juan volvió a pedir un préstamo al banco, un préstamo grande, pero esto está afectando a mi novio y sus padres, pues coloco la dirección de su casa de ellos, al no pagar hay riesgo de que el banco vaya a su casa y se lleven sus cosas para cubrir la deuda (embargo). Mi novio al contarme esto, me pidió de favor que lo ayudara a recibir varias de sus cosas en mi casa, le he dicho que no puedo, puesto que aún vivo con mis padres y no vivimos en un lugar tan espacioso para recibir tanto. Le he dicho que enfrente a su hermano y lo oblige a dar la cara, que por una vez se haga responsable de sus acciones,sin embargo me ha dicho que no puede hacer nada pues es su hermano, y me ha tachado que soy una antipática, pues como su novia debo apoyarlo. Estoy pensando en darle un últimatum para nuestra relación porque de verdad ya no soporto que mi novio pase de lado las acciones de su hermano que lo han afectado, pues a pesar de que le digo que lo enfrente el no quiere. ¿Que podría hacer?
