2025.01.29 06:12 ad-undeterminam Stuck in a lucid dream, perfectly aware and able to think.
I just woke up, it's 6:12, I've been sleeping since around 4, it was a complicated night and that last sleep I just had was the most traumatic shit I have ever experienced.
I had a first dream, sleep paralysis, were it was cute in the begining. By heavy tiger leaning over me for cuddles... and then I realised I was unable to move, ok sleeps paralysis, ok my brain wants to imagine monsters. I'll just wait and tell it to shut up, worked, woke up. It was ok.
But then when I fell back asleep it was something else, it was at firs a sexy dream. So nice ! Rare and cool. I figured out quite quickly it was a dream, so I got to choseevery little detail. Who my partner was, what they did, lucid dreams are fun ! Or so I thought.
Things go fine, I focus on sensations, and just to test how stable the dream is I test the layer. When you are in a lucid dream you can generaly feel how thick is your sleep, like if you're just about to wake up or if you're fine.
It's important because the more conscious actions you make and demand in you're dream the more you pull awake, and after sleeping that little I definetly didn't want to.
Here I felt pretty near to reality, could hear rain pouring outside IRL, could feel my breath within my control.
So I thought "ok, enought conscious actions, i will just give the lead back to subconscious now"
Well it failed and I woke up. Or so I thought at first.
I was in my room, silent, rain pouring outside, nothing weird. But my vision is blurred, even going completely darck periodically. I walk around my room to understand what is going on, everything is odd, sounds, sensations...
I try to start my phone, it's on the table next to the bed like normal. I get the code screen, then black. I don't bother trying more, pretty sure I am still in a dream by then.
I go to my window to check, open it, it's raing outside but indeed not cold like it should be. Itself even foggy. Now I remember I didn't pay attention to it but instead of the city that is around my appartement, the two buildings I can see from my window, there were large trees and a grey thick fog.
Now try lifting myself up to the window ledge, checking if :
1 : i am truly in a dream ? otherwise I will not feel complete muscle activation
2 : if I am in a dream, how deep am I ? If it's shallow I will feel my muscles activate weakly, if I'm deep I won't feel anything.
It was the later, I was deep stuck in a dream and I knew it.
I decided to check my control over the dream, despite the rain sounds IRL it is a dream so if I want it's sunny outside, I managed to do that after a bit of struggle (yeah ig can be hard, parasitic thought mainly "I want it to be sunny ! Oh but wht if it was like jus slightly less raining ? Oh but sun just means there are shadows ?" So it's hard tl focus)
I was stuck extremely deep with minimal control and absolutely full consciousness, and most importently : unable to wake up.
Qlso a sode note by the sound of the rain I was feeling real time 1s/1s no fast forward dream effect. Generaly in a drear the perception of time I have is : 1 - 30 "dream" days felling like 1 h but in reality lasting 2 to 8 h. Here it was 1 to 1, a secound was a secound and felt like one.
I tried to make sense of it, i remembered the tiger dream beflre with sleep paralysis. I only have smeep paralysis when I take anxiolitics and I did today to fall asleep. So my conclusion was : what if this is somewhat similar, but way, way deeper ? What can I do ? Can I remain stuck like this ? Who would even notice ? How ? When ? Can I die ? "if I remain stuck 3 days and no one notices then I'm dead from dehydration"
I first thought about my boyfriend, my family, honestly it was kinda painfull.
I tried to wake up just pushing throught with dheer will, it didn't work. I considered waking up by jumping from the window, it's like 9 feet up so it could work as a fall wake up. But I didn't go throught with it, maybe it's stupid but I got scared even thoo I knew it was a dream.
I tried forcibg my muscles to activate, hoping fmr some response IRL... did nothing.
So, without much conviction I tried shouting, "unlikely to wake me up but maybe a neigboor IRL will hear" I thought.
Suprisingly i felt my vocal cord, so I kept going until I finally woke up.
I am somewhat scared to go back to sleep, I can't capture how traumatic this was.
I just needed to share that.

Dakle, svako jutro pre dolaska šefa koji momentalno prekida svaku političku raspravu u kancelariji (velika kancelarija, 10 ljudi), vodi se neki razgovor na temu studentskih protesta i svega sto se desava. Iako su mi sve kolege mladje generacije (25-40 godina), šokiran sam izjavama. I was thinking about what realy creates the 4 minute turbo stomps. One factor (among others) i noticed is that more and more powerful guns are being driven on increasingly faster tanks. Good example is the Bourasque and rocket boosters wich additionally bring armour quick to the front. But how would a game look like on actually big maps?
Lets for this thought experiment double the map sizes so tanks have to drive further to get into action. Additionally we could have more diverese sections in a map. (I like Highway the most for how much space is actually usable while giving every tank a role in a game). In theory games would last longer. Oppinions?

I’m considering moving from pickup to another department given the pay rate I’m getting, it’s not enough for me to afford anything when I work 40 hours a week, I used to make $16 at a competitor store til I left the place and used my skills from the same department into Kroger and now make 14.75, given what I’ve seen how they treat pickup associates and leads, it wasn’t worth busting my ass off to try to move up from what I’ve seen and I’m already burned out after working more than a year, so if anyone can give me some advice I’d appreciate it 🫶🏻

Mi mamá me ha estado apoyando económicamente en mi segunda carrera, cosa que yo no le pedí ya que trabajaba y pensaba estudiar al mismo tiempo, pero ella se ofreció a pagarme la carrera por voluntad propia, pero ahora que tenía que inscribirme al segundo semestre me dijo que siempre ya no quería apoyarme, me lo dijo una semana antes del cierre de inscripciones por lo que ya no tuve tiempo de conseguir el dinero para la inscripción ya que el dinero que yo ahorré de mi trabajo lo uso para mis gastos diarios (vivo solo), pues me vengo enterando que fue mi hermana quien le dijo a mi mamá que ya no me la pagará, pues mi hermana quiere que ese dinero se lo den a ella para comprarse un coche, mi mamá me contó que mi hermana le dijo que me mandara a la ching con mi carrera, desafortunadamente no es la primera vez que pasa ya antes, tuve una época en la que me quede un par de meses sin empleo y viví en casa de mi mamá y en esa época la escuché decirle que me echara a la calle por huevón (solo fueron dos meses sin empleo y ella nunca ha trabajado), me lleve la decepción más grande de mi vida porque mi hermana era la persona que yo más quería en la vida y hubiera hecho cualquier cosa por ella, pero si por ella fuera me habría echado a la calle y ahora manipulo a mi mamá para que ya no me de el dinero, que se qué ya no es su obligación lo digo más por decírmelo poco menos de una semana antes del cierre de inscripciones. Yo jamás en la vida hubiera hecho nada para perjudicar a un hermano y la neta me tiene muy dolido saber que de su parte no es así, ya también en una ocasión mencionó que cuando mi mamá se muera no voy a ver nada de dinero o sus bienes (también manipulo a mi mamá para que los pusiera a su nombre, cuando antes estaban a nombre de los 3 hermanos) Solo quería desahogarme por la decepción que me lleve de la persona que llegue a amar tanto.

Hi guys, I'm just 18 years old but am tired of everyday fights in my house due to money. We own a house of 2 cr with 50 L loan. We also have a under-construction house investment worth 1.2 CR but it will mature in next 3-4 years only. My father earns 40k a month, my mother earns 76k a month and additionally my grandfather gets a pension of 15k a month. We have EMI of 38k. We own a second hand wagonr and it's getting old and we have to purchase a car anyhow by the end of this year and we literally don't have any money for it. My grandmother is suffering from stage 3 cancer , although her hospitalisation expenses are reimbursed as my grandfather was a govt employee, but still some medicine and travel expenses are not reimbursed and total around 10k a month. My father hates my grandfather because he lost all his savings (3cr) in gamble and everyday verbal fights happen between them. We live in Gurugram.
Expenditure on maids - Cook - 4k Cleaning maid - 3k Morning maid - 2k
Also I'm an undergrad student in T2 college of Delhi University...I'm also willing to work if anyone can provide me with some work. I'm fluent in English and have excellent comm skills.

I'm about to start semi-regularly shadowing at an Avian clinic near my house, and my mom was talking about potentially just not until the whole bird flu thing goes over... I guess what I'm trying to ask is what you guys think the risk is and whether it's worth it or not. I've still got ~3 years before I apply to vet school anyways so I could, but so far bird flu has no human to human spread and pretty much only comes from poultry animals. I've also learned that illnesses like the flu mutate every time it's contracted so I don't think it's out of the question to assume it will be able to spread via human soon... I also live in the same state as an outbreak that was recently discovered (Washington). What would you guys do in this situation and how serious do we think is my risk?

Hey so.. I started apologetics a little while back.. I'm not great at it, but I've answered a pretty decent amount of questions that my mind poses.. But here is the real thing that's been bothering me..
Unbased claims..
What do I do with these?
Like islam claims that Jesus "didn't" die on the cross and it was only made to appear so.. so the eye witnesses are false and they were deceived..
hinduism claims that Jesus was a moral teacher or a "form" of a different god.. With no proof..
The gnostics claim that Jesus taught "secret knowledge" that only THEY know about..
Now I understand that the Bible is clear on this matter in Colossians 2:8.. To say that people have twisted and warped God to fit their cultural and traditional ways..
But when I pray or worship Him.. I always get messed up in my view of Him, because I have a very obsessive mind..
I can answer these questions Biblically.. The first is that Jesus predicted His death.. and If He didn't die, He was a bad prophet in islam.. So hence He did die..
The second is that Jesus was the fullness of the deity who is God, and not a part of a bigger picture.. (I used Colossians 2:6-9)
And third is that Jesus says in his last moments in John 15, that Jesus calls us friends not servants, because a servant does not know his master's business.. So He's taught us everything He is.. And He has hid nothing.
The only logical answer I've got to denying these claims is that: The sole fact that so many people are twisting Jesus to fit into their view, is already proof that they are wrong.. And the Bible says what is true because it's the words of Jesus.. Not the views of a man about Jesus.. As Paul too says that we shouldn't be fazed by the people who frame God through a human lens, rather we should follow what Christ has revealed to us, that is the Holy Bible.
Logically I understand that these people have no intention to change their mind.. Because they have zero proof of their claims.. All three of the above mentioned faiths have no proof.. But it's still stuck in my head as a "what if" kinda thing..
Could someone help? It's been bugging me for a long time :(
